Some of the weapons:

Xplosys's Zombie Town is included now:

Ok, X Games wanted me to start this wip thread, so here it is.

I wanted to start a mega community model pack (actually, the first idea was to just make this together with a couple of people, but i thought that this could be even more fun to do), the theme will be an modern urban enviroment. There will be two types of enviromental entities and segments. One is regular and one is zombified. By zombified i mean rusty, bloody, broken, damaged, rotten and destroyed.

What kind of things is accepted? Well, anything that is modern. Everything from a milk carton and a fuse box, to an P90 and a military knife. And also, even some post apocalyptic things as well. Characters is accepted too! We need zombies to (live?) up the modern maps.

I will ofcourse do some stuff as well.

One thing to note is that the stuff in the pack can use bond1's metro theatre shaders, but is not necessary. And weapons should use the hands that the new stock weapons uses. (Cyborg ART's hands i think) OR the model pack 6 hands. (by simon benge)

People who have, might or will donate to this pack:

Anayar
Cyborg ART
Henry Ham

Rolfy
Xplosys
Zwarte Piet
Poloflece
starmind 001
Cross Hair Games
Akanto10

I hope to see alot of stuff from you people. Let's try to make this a big pack. Everyone will be credited offcourse.

Post a list of media required and, if you can, some reference pics as inspiration please

All browsers should come with compulsory spell checks.

- Around 5-10 segments
- Blood-stained wall writing (like the ones in my zombie pack)
- Hesco Barrier

Also, are you taking weapons because im working on a plank weapon and also an M14.

Here's a simple crate Im working on (based on the ref. pic you sent me). This is the base... will have a few texture variations Also includes 2 LOD's.

Just using this as an excuse to practice "render to Texture"... start small work your way up as they always say

Cheers,
Anayar

nice render anayar, it's small and could use work...lol J/K. just a bit of crit, you probably know this, but the framing edges look like a single piece of wood. I think it should have split lines to look more realistic, In all a good render though. Nice work

Edit: I added cut lines in the example. so you know what I'm saying

Good morning!

@Anayar: Nice stuff.

@Wheatleyy: Sure, go for it. Weapons are allowed.

@X Games: Very nice.

@Seppgirty: The shaders that originally only existed in model pack 38 (metro theatre). But bond released this for free a while ago.

@Vent: Great!

I'm gonna continue making segments today. I think i'm gonna try to make an entity or two in 3ds max. Also, a logo for the thread.

I made the texture and icon myself, and signs iv did the rest. The texture looks a lot better ingame, but i will most likely edit it a bit anyway.

EDIT:

It's even better as a light for industrial buildings. Usually these aren't standing on the ground but attached to the walls. And I have searched for a model just like this but NEVER found one.

Great work - and an additional version without the fuse box would make it perfect

Not to be a showoff, but i just finished my very first entity for fps creator!

It's a dirty old barrel. I made it in 3ds max, then i uv-mapped it the best i could, then i exported it with a plugin called pandax and finally made an fpe, a texture and an icon for it. I must say, i always thought my first entity was gonna be something like just a box or something. Though, it seems to disappear when i choose it to be a static object.

I will most likely edit the texture a bit.

Here's what I have so far.

I'm thinking of making them dual sawed-off shotguns. Or maybe just single.

I also want to add some attachments, pitchfork bayonet? I think so.

@VENT: Yeah, make both a single and a dual one, with a bayonet attached to them. You've done a wonderful job on that shotgun, VENT! Keep it up!

@X Games: Wow, that's very nice! Can't we have both the old one and the new one? I like them both so much.

Sorry guys its old out dated work of mine, when I was giving the old street light some spit a polish I noticed some verts were not snapped nor welded together so I just did a new model instead!

*jumping around everywhere in excitement* WILL DO! Uh, can you mail me the lamp first?

Maybe you can talk about this pack in your website? That would be nice to see.

Hey, i got this silly idea that you probably will decline, but it would be cool if we could merge in any of your packs into this pack. Uh, i know, it sounds silly and dumb, but it sure would be fun.

Anyways sorry, got a bit delayed on the in-game screenshots.

As you can see, the crates come in 4 versions:
1. Plain
2. Fire
3. Radiation
4. Biohazard

And each of these comes in 3 versions: Small, medium, Large

Sent the files
