Hey all, this may sound, erm, noobish... but I was actually looking for a sprite maker for one of the 2D games I'm starting on.

D8 Also an actual game thing to put it all together, as I'm a beginner, and not the best programer. Though still, I have to start somewhere.

If you could assist me, I'd greatly appreciate it.

I'm all for 3D games,

So if someone else makes the game... And someone else makes the graphics... How exactly are YOU starting on a game??? Nobody is ever going to make your game for you for free, because then it's not your game.

Hi Dave, Can you remeber those RCT style buttons you made me a while back? is there any chance of a green flag and a red flag to go with it? thanks. Oh and possibly a template base so I can add my own icons on top would be great, thanks

Edit: Oh and if possible some rotation versions of the arrows? thanks

chris, you know you can't use those RCT3 style buttons? because, iirc, they were the ACTUAL RCT3 buttons...

Nah, I play RCT3, they're similar, not the actual buttons though.

Here you go,.. and I don't have a real template. I have bits and pieces I use like a highlight, and shadow stamp I overlay in my drawing program.. I could make a 'fudged version if you need,.. it won't be 100% accurate though.

Cheers!

Edit: Here is a 4 part template.. the blank button, the highlight the shadow and the 'brightness mask for the highlighted button'..

If it helps good, if not, well, make a post if you need another button or 2

Oops, forgot the rotate buton.. here you go..

Cheers V2.0

I don't know anything about making actual "fonts," but I did manage to make a couple of bitmap fonts. See if any of these suit you.

The community has been good to me with it's free stuff. I'm using David Gervais' asteroid, Scraggle's planet textures and Geecee3's bitmap font in my game. It's time i gave something back.

Here are some starry skyboxes i made using images from google. Rar file approximately 1Mb. CLICK TO DOWNLOAD
Example code for using them is included. I will be churning out more of these. If anyone wants higher res or lower compression than say.

Here's a pic of one in action:

Long time since I have contributed here. I decided to take a short break from work and try my hand at some iso work since I have not done any in over a year. Thought I would tackle something new, a pyramid, never want to have to do something with such bizarre angles again. Hope someone can use it.

I thought I'd just post up a load of sprites that I rendered and uploaded to my site a while ago: http://www.tymargames.co.uk/?page_id=5

There are a couple of sets of an animated character, plus a few assorted sci-fi/military vehicles, as well as some fish and other sea creatures.

Hopefully someone will find them useful

Hey can anyone who is a better animator/artist animate the wheels to this tanks as if it is moving to the right or what ever direction the tanks firing tube is going. The tank is at the bottom and I made it. If there is something you want to add to it go ahead.

All fears must be overcome before feeling true happieness.

The best way to animate something like a sidescrolling tank is to make the wheels seperate sprites...then you can have it move at variable speeds, with acceleration and all that.

Nackidno has inspired me to go hunt out my old rogue like tile worksheets. These will give you a rare look into how I used to work in an old program called Deluxe Paint. I tried to set up a weapons/object/player/monster construction factory. I have all kinds of body parts, lots of heads to stick on bodies,.. different size bodies,.. arms, weapons etc.. Anyways, I haven't really touched these in almost a decade.

Just in case it helps, I'm making my old worksheets available here. just download them and go crazy playing Dr Frankenstein.

Cheers!

P.S. here is a sample random crop from one of the 'Big' worksheets..

lol, I asked myself why it was in an 'Offensive' folder myself. It must because this much free graphics is offensive to some people.

Just 2d dice? like these?..

If you need custom dice, let me know the size you need and I can make a cup graphic easy enough.

If you read the newsletter article about my Grail of the Gods graphics makeover you know that I love to replace 'placeholder' graphics. If you have some existing temp ugly sprites, I can easily upgrade them.

Cheers!

P.S. I also made a 3D dice you can find here..

http://forum.thegamecreators.com/?m=forum_view&t=85258&b=3

also I made some medialess dice, here's the code..

I've never seen the 'Offensive' tag on any thread that's actually offensive, TGC just uses it to make sure people notice things .

Yeah as if you haven't noticed the little exclamation marks on the sides of the text, that is what the offensive part is used for. A bit odd to even have it on these forums as if it is offensive it is locked.

If you have any pity for a less than artistic programmer, could someone please make me a quick little animated "rocket flame", preferably in a sprite sheet. It doesn't have to be really fancy, but some realism would be appreciated.

As a reference, an image is attached.

Thanks,
