If we are going to improve our community, just do it.. This thread is as pointless as spam.. All this thread reeks of is stupidity from not only myself but from alot of others. To me this thread would of been better of being a mini-topic in the posting competiton.

I am proud to announce my candidacy for the office of President of Apollo. My platform is as follows:

1. The FPS Creator forums will be nuked. We'll get them over there, before they come over here...with their terrible grammar and such.

2. Anyone posting a Bitmap of a size so obnoxious that you have to scroll horizontally will be shot.

3. Anyone caught with more then 5 spelling mistakes in a post will be shot.

4. Anyone who ran against me will slapped around a bit with a large trout....and then be shot.

5. Also my health care plan is very comprehensive. If you fall ill, you will be shipped to a camp where you will slave away creating low poly models for a game of little commercial quality...and then be shot.

6. All my opponents devour the souls of unborn children. They will once again, be shot.


Of course, vital to my platform is that I am running to serve YOU! And by that I mean the shadowy over lords that will dictate what it is I do. Regardless, It is people like this who I am here to serve and protect:

I am proud to announce my first speech as a candidate,

Greetings long time fellow members and fellow newcomers! As a candidate for President of Apollo, I announce that I am glad to be here and want to say why I should be President of these wonderful forums. I have once been a n00b, just like most of us on here and have had my fair share of bad experiences on these forums. Do you want other newcomers to feel the same way? Left out, ashamed, and hurt? I for one think that moderators should monitor these WIP posts and PA posts more than they do and not approve those type of posts or lock them before they become flamebait. I also think the same thing should be done with Geek Culture topics such as religion, politics, or any other thing that is against the Apollo Constitution (AUP). It is also right that we cut down on flaming newcomers and explain to them in a better way why they can't make an MMORPG and should start out simple. Which is something not all members have failed at, but few have. We can reconstruct n00bs into respected members by persistance, faith and a few n00b slaps. As for spam, we should immediately ban users that post any type of spam. I also believe in new improvements to the board such as a Read New Topics button, a Petition Board and there are many other things that can make this board a better place. Remember, TGC first, VOTE ZEUS 2008!

Greetings underlings,

For many years, our fine community has been soiled by pompous noobs, trolls and Deathead. Some of my opponents seem to think allowing this to continue is OK, but I won't settle for it. If elected president, I will kill all people with a joining date of 2008 and a thread count of over 20. I will also instate a new law declaring that anyone who voted for another candidate will be destroyed. After all, if you don't vote for me, then what kind of monster are you? These non-beleivers will tear apart the fabric of our community. Don't let that happen.
