I mean there's undertones of dark. Like Celestia and Luna overthrowing an empire and turning someone to stone, despite the fact she's always been painted as a benevolent leader who always ruled Equestria, rather than merely invading and occupying it.

She's less god, and more William the Conqueror now.

I saw that picture on ED a little earlier, actually a minute exactly after it was posted Thought about putting it here, but... Gabe was too awesome

I sent seth my story like last week. He still hasn't gotten back to me and season 2 is even postponed. Someone over there complained it took a DAY for him to get his story up I don't even need a pre-reader this time. What gives?

I just watched it.. IT WAS AMAZIIIIIIIING the two best episodes, imo, in the whole MLP seriess so far!! LOVED IT <33 IIIIIIH and the voice acting was BRILLIANT

My review:

Further playing with the characters, the MLP team I think outdid themselves here, but that might be because I have a soft spot for flashbacks. In Kung Fu Panda 2, for example, when basically half of it was remembering the events of the first movie, and I cried. I have no idea why, but that stuff touches me. Between more Flutterrage, more heartbroken Pinkie, and Tom~, I think they pulled out all the stops. Season 2, even though this episode was supposed to be the season finale for season 1, has started off wonderfully and now that the actual season 2 episodes are starting (the ones they really made over the summer) I hope to see Derpy Hooves... but I think it's off to a wonderful start and the episode was wonderful... like Party of One wonderful. But that being said, the ending was rushed, especially considering it was a two parter... I would have preferred a third installment to drag out the ending. Overall, I give it 9/10.

To me, the flashbacks was one of the few drawbacks here: It really felt... well lets just say it felt like they pressed it in there as a bad reason to have them remember the friendship: it felt like they had to come up with something quickly and just put in a 5 second flashback in there just because they could =/

I guess the more I think about it, as awesome as the concept of Princess Celestia sending the letter frantically and all that jazz is, it is kind of easy to think up... but overall, the writing was still brilliant.
