I think that Lost Dragon's idea is a good one. Of course, people on a digital award outside of UK would have to add the £3 for shipping as well. When I backed Tenra Bansho Zero I bought a ton of extra dice which wasn't included in my tier. Also, allow people to buy additional licenses for £35, in case they want to give one away, or maybe they are 2 or more working on a project. You then send out a form asking people what they payed extra for.

Pledged on paypal. I learned programming with Dark Basic Classic and it's great to see that TGC is still pushing through with new things. Though back in the day I remember that I had to do a Wire Transfer to Lee's account or something that took over an hour for the poor bank attendant to find the right bank in the UK.. great to be able to pay with PayPal now haha.

Hallowed are the ori.

Auger, nope, you didn't miss anything. Html 5 does not appear to be part of the future of AGK.

Hi,

Thanks to everyone who has backed the project already, we're well on the way to Stretch Goal #1.

HTML5 is in our thinking but it's not a battle we can fight right now. We need to deal with these new features for now.

I think that it's very difficult to get £25000-20000... Will we see news in AppGameKit 2 about 3D? For me, It's the more interesting.

Thanks!

Backed with Paypal! I'm so exited! ^^

EDIT: I could not find a link on the Kickstarter page. Could be something to add (a banner near the top is best, imho).

Both the link to the KickStarter and PayPal pages are in the first post for this thread.

I'd like to see where we can watch the combined donations. The KickStarter page automatically updates. But I don't know where to see what is happening on the PayPal side.

If I'm not mistaken, Kickstarter currently doesn't offer an option to show paypal stats. Campaigns like Unrest update their main pages to display the pledged amounts.

Zerotown, TGC set up a page to accept PayPal donations themselves just because KickStarter doesn't take PayPal.

When they announced that page, they said that they would keep us up to date with a running total (or words sort of to that effect).

Indeed, that was what I meant to write If TGC want's to keep the backers up-to-date on the total pledged amount, they need to inform us themselves, since Kickstarter doesn't provide such a service.

Hi,

Thanks for all these new pledges!

Paul is working on a total system for me now. I can then view that and add it to the current KS total. I'll then post it on FB, G+ and here.

£8,119 on Kickstarter now! It'll be good to be updated on how much is raised through PayPal especially towards the end as that may help push more donations to reach those stretch goals.

Even reaching the £20,000 one would be a massive success and would bring AppGameKit into much greater capabilities with 3D.

I think that if some industry supported AGK... it would be fabulous. But I am sure that they use the damn Unity I hate Unity!...
Some Day, AppGameKit will be the best engine!

I hope that TGC gets £25000!

Yes, I think the 20k stretch goal, if met, will solidify AppGameKit is an excellent platform for both 2D and 3D. Anything beyond that is just a bonus, but I hope it makes it to at least 20k.

As a reminder to everyone, if you know that you'll have some money to pledge within the next 40+ days but don't have it yet, you can still pledge now because they don't take any money out until after the Kickstarter is over. Pledging early can also help motivate others to pledge and draw attention to the project.

Congrats on the campain.
I was one of the early birds, but I do think it's a little odd that you advertise for Ouya under platforms before you advertise that Ouya will be a part of the 10000 stretch goal...

making IDE enhancements a part of the 15000 stretch goal is also awkward. When all you have to do is open it up. The Ide is opensource already - the enhancements for the ide should not be part of the stretch goals.

Some time ago I moved to notepad++ with agk with little problem. Including folding functions etc. This is a part of code::blocks already...you have only choosen to remove it for agk.

I never want what I know.

Hi all,

Many thanks to all of your who have made positive comments on the Kickstarter page. It really helps new people make a decision on backing the technology.

Can I ask all AppGameKit users to post their thoughts about AppGameKit? You could link to the forum or you tube to show what you've made in V1 too.

Cheers,

Rick

I've just completed an early bird pledge.

My reasons for doing so:
1) To support TGC and hope they can keep going to continue releasing and improving the kind of software we have come to love and rely on.
2) To hope that "browser" support comes sooner than later, this is my main preference.
3) It appears to be a no-brainer, imo. If you pledge a minimum of £25 now, you will get AGKv2 when it is released. Many have already paid for AGK(v1) and your pledge here can equate to a typical software update price. If you don't pledge but buy AGKv2 after release you will effectively be paying for AGK(v1) again in AGK(v2)'s full price. Like I said earlier, a no-brainer.

Edit:
It would appear that AGK(v1) is not included in AGKv2 as stated in the separate thread :
http://forum.thegamecreators.com/?m=forum_view&t=206388&b=41

However for a major version change its still a good deal to pledge now.

Edit V2: (written like that as a joke)
It would now appear that V1 is included with V2 as it should be, unless they change it again.

All my games has been published on Google Play. Under this link:
https://play.google.com/store/search?q=texasoft+reloaded
you find all my games, ALL made with AGK. There are also some free versions that people could download without being charged.
Now I have no time to make collages or videos, so if you like, you could mention the link and/or take some screenshots or video directly from the Google Play site.

Great news, the ouya probably has some potential for indie developers like us. However, it would probably be important to get into the market quickly as it may get crowded. Is there any chance of you adding ouya support to the current AppGameKit version to help with that. It shouldn't be to much work given that it already seems to work apart from the joystick support.

Paypal will get charged immedietly. The thing with kickstarter is that you can pledge to a project and the money is not charged until the project is funded. With paypal, you are simply making a donation to the owner of the paypal acoount.

If the 3d engine enhancements stretch goal is made will this allow FPSC developers to fully export dynamic geometry, weapons and characters to AppGameKit with a tool such as FPSC 2 AppGameKit?

Tomahawk, that would be cool if that's the case. I would actually buy FPSC and FPSC 2 AppGameKit if that is true. This ability would add additional life to these products, IMO.

What exactly is the £3 extra charge for shipping if this is a virtual product(bronze level and above it seems)? What is an A4 laminated command crib sheet?
