tempest can handle only 64 players maximum online.
but i made a small agreement with the tempest's creator(benjamin) that if ill get around 50 players online, he will add me another 64 players to the maximum and so on."

Who did you killed to achieve that?

ok guys new update:
atm, my scripting system is v. powerful, it can complitly setup an object in one line.
it can setup:
- Object File Name
- Positions X/Y/Z
- rotations X/Y/Z
- Loop object
- set object speed
- set object light
- ghost object
- hide/show object
- fog object
- set water effect for object
- set the object as door (not done yet)
- set object collision (4 diff. object collision types)
- setup NPC (not done yet)
- install item for the inventory
- transparency object

thats the scripting system's power. but i dont think its metter to you guys.

anyhow, i added trees into the game:

oh by the way, the trees are also animated!!!

Very nice Gogetax! To blend the ground and trees, a few simple shadows would be nice .

trees animated? nice1

May I suggest a small feature though.., from what i see in the screenshot you have white fog? It doesn't really blend in with the background image... it creates a stunning illustion if you fix it

Tip: You probably know the anwser to fixing the fog, but here it is: simply open the background image up and grab the bottom colour which i'm guessing is either 1 of these 2:
RGB(82,87,81)
RGB(55,78,62)
I don't mean to tell you how to make ur games as i can see you're doing alright by yourself but you could u just try changing the fog colour to one of those??? just to see how it would look... also blur the bottom of the background image.

I like it very much.

It is very similar to LineAge II

Perfect Charachter models.

Could I ask something?

Which library are using to create your Skinnable GUI?

I am very interesting to find something to change my DarkBasic
games skin.

I have Blue Gui.

If you have some good Skinnable library for DarkBasic Pro
I am interesting to purchase.

Thank you very much.

Very good Work.

I am working on one RPG too.

errr.. you mean the Popups GUIs?

i made them my self
the frame is RGB(125,138,0)
and the transparent thingy is 40% transparent of a black image.
easy, isnt it?

GogetaX, I asked you this in your 20 challenge thread of your chat system. How do you send the message to antoher player using the Dark Basic Pro commands? When i try to send it using the "send net message string$" command, then on the other players screen whe ni try to print the string it closes down the EXE? How do you send and recieve it?

@pro g r amer: im not using dbp commands. im using tempest, remember?
but i still remember how to use some of dbp commands.

you should use memblocks to send and to get messages from others
that way you can make few message types..

because i know that if you already using send Integer once in the dbp, you wont be able to use send string command.. (well, i remember that from dbp 5.2 version.. v. long time ago, so maybe its not the same now in the new dbp)

Quote: "What CPU and GPU are u using to get that fram rate?"

my computer parameters are v. low. (well, some of them):

Graphic Card: Radeon 9550 - 256MB
Processor: AMD 2500 (2000 speed)
Ram: DDR 768

and atm, i got around 50FPS in the game because of the trees.. i made around 100 trees already on the 1st part of the map..
the loading is kinda slow though

GogetaX, I thought tempest was only for player to player multiplayer? How come you are using it to make a game with more than 2 people playing?

player to player(actually, per to per)
it doesnt mean that its only for two players..
it means that the clients are connected to each other and not through the server...

Hows my particle system treating you GogetaX ?

Remember to experiment. It's very easy to make very cool effects but harder to make them look as good an run efficiently.

Are there any commands you could really do with ?
e.g. Activating and deactivating of particle sources (could be handy for culling) also it would take very little effort to exclude particles if they were out of the view of the camera which would also help framerates)

Righto, back to the grindstone.

Sounds fine with me man. What I would ask though is if you make any new features for it, drop me a line and let me know what they are. That way I can keep developing the system for myself and others aswell.

Also sorry about the messy code, it was written a year or two back now.

Now, now, calm DOWN! Some of us find point & click creation thingies more difficult than coding. I know I do. I'm much more comfortable looking at a screen full of text.

Now let's get back on topic. Good work as always GogetaX.
