I'll answer that
Was made in dbp using bluegui
Yes he did make it
No the community won't get hold of it
What is it being used for?
It's being used to help with the ride editor
Ride editor will be on demo

Ok ... I know that '3Ds Master' or 'DBMad' as he used to be known is just an 8 year old kid (or there abouts) so he thinks that what he is saying is correct ... but for everyone else that thinks capping any game at ANY frame rate is a good thing, let me say this IT ISN'T!

Use timer based movement and keep the frame rate as fast as each machine can handle ... BatVink made a tutorial for doing it in a recent newsletter, so if you didn't know how to do it before then you have no excuse now.

hmmm I remember back in the day, just when theme park was just released on the megadrive. The one thing i remember clearly, the reason y i loved it soo much was the water ride, if you deleted a piece of the track the little dudes would fly off and crash into the boundary wall ^-^

Sadly the loop didn't make it I've had trouble with the coaster cam, and I under estimated how long it'd take to implement. But, I've still got a video for you to download

This is a simple video of the carriage waypoint system, which tells the carriage where to go on a track. It can be added to actual 3d track models to do the same thing (but in this video, the tracks are 'invisible' )

The way the carriages turn corners in this video is auwful. I am currently fixing this - but still, its a nice tech demo

Attached as WMV (about 1mb)

Yeah, and when it was on the Amiga, you can't get that nice classic style anymore.

Its a real classic, loved playing it, some of the best games in world were on the Amiga, and modern representations can't beat them like, Alone in the Dark, Monkey Island, Out Run, Theme Park, worms, Lemmings.

hey, looking good i tested your like menu and stuff however my sync rate was at 1124 most of the time and the camrea movements were to fast i would recomend you useing sync timers for the moments to make sure it is the same speed on any pc.

keep up the good work and this could trun into a very good game indeed

you think you are good at programing w8 until you go to microsoft then you will get showen how to realy program

Not getting crashes is good...and, you can't really expect a whole lot of responses. I'll bet replies will spike once you release a demo of some sort, that doesn't stink like the first one.

You know that you could do this in Isometric 3D, and use plains instead of millions of polygons. You would need 4 rendered angles of each ride. Then the world can be spun around, but only in steps of 90%.

That is how rollercoaster tycoon 1 and 2 were made, and Sim City, and The Sims. Then the graphics can be as detailed as you want, but the rollercoasters get more complicated to work I think.
