You've got another couple of weeks now. My wife gave birth to our first child on Friday morning, so I was a bit too busy to do this! I am now on paternity leave. It'll be sorted when I'm back.

Err no, when I said 'first child' I meant first! I think I would remember if this had happened already a year ago, bloody hell ... believe me I would! It ain't something you forget.

CattleRustlers wife gave birth recently, yes. but not last year, more like last month, as they were due around the same time as each other.

Anyway guys I'll come back to this thread and pick some mods when I'm back at work. I reckon picking 3 would be a good number.

I took a month off when my daughter was born; I was outta the Army by the time my son was born, and plugging away at my degree. The sleepless nights last for a bit, but eventually they'll start sleeping through the night (you'll count the days till that happens ) Boy or girl?

Congratulations again, Rich; give the wife our best.

Raymond,
I have been VERY understanding with you but this time you crossed the line.
First of all congratulating Rich was a good thing.
Unfortunately after that you had to post your drivel. Some of us are trying to make the forums a better place.
That is what this thread was about. It was not a place for you to personally attack two mods who have been nothing but fair in my opinion.Just because you don't agree with their decision(s) does not give you the right to make those comments. Those are personal attacks and the more serious forum members like myself are done tolerating this crap.
So as per your suggestion I am leaving my "remarks".You don't have to get back to me.I would actually prefer you didn't.
This thread wasn't doin to bad until right then. Thanks,Raymond, for trying to take this thread to the low that so many of our other threads have reached. If I were VanB or IanM I would noob slap you or ban you for those remarks but I guess at least up until now, just like they always have, they are trying to be fair.
Really quick I have two things to say.
Raymond,
If you truly have a problem with a mod e-mail him or her. That's what that little magic button below his or her posts are for.Keep it off the forums. This is not the place for this.
Secondly,I have found the mods to be more than fair.I may not always agree with them but if I have e-mailed one they have never failed to respond to my e-mail one way or the other. As far as VanB and IanM go,at least they will come to these forums. Most mods would rather be shot that moderate these forums and I can't blame them.
If there is any mercy left in the world this will be the last time you post in these forums. We are done putting up with your crap.

Now you're going to have to start up another "I'm leaving and never coming back" thread Ray. That should be good for some more entertainment of watching people respond to you, followed by your emotional temper-tantrums.

The most respectable and mature members ive seen on this forum who would make good and just mods would have to be Uman,crow34, Megaton cat, keith C, Bond haymark(i think thats his name?), just to name a few.

But I need to protest lookin at the votes, judging by past post, newb bashing and the odd childish outbursts and his brown nose!! the worst thing you could do is give ChrisB the title of mod, i dont think he could mod sh** in a bag let alone a chaotic forum like this place

just my thoughts

He has some valid points there Van B. Athlough his post was far more offensive than acually been constructive. Perhaps Rich can take those thoughts into account also.

So snidey little comments are to be the norm here? - in a thread about new moderators?

No, let's just kick RJ into touch and hope that his sour attitude stands as an example of what not to do. Doesn't matter what else he said, he's trolling while he knows we're watching him - FFS I told him myself I'd be watching, so he makes his snidey comments anyway, we don't play those games here.

Greetings... I stopped by I looked at this interesting thread. Good to know some new blood is joining the mod squad and I wish you the best.

Some oldies may remember I had some diferences of opinion with some mods, especially VanB. That was never personal and his statements made me at least give a thought about some threads more than once. So, trust his judgment. More than once I openly critized him and time showed that he knows what he is doing.

I know that the voting is over, but in my book, Uman, LIT and Bond are amazing members of this community and I would put my vote on any of them, any time.

Good luck to you all in your projects, life and even modding this place.

Congratulations to Richard for the new-born child and worry not, I didn't "abandon" TGC, I'm using the SDK, just don't have time to participate that much. Who knows if a game developed with DGSDK isn't hitting some portal in the next months?

Cheers and have fun.

Van B don't get me wrong. I mean he (He been RJ) is not the best person in the forum's but has valid points about what our future mod's have been like so far. It would be quiet important if they have trolled in the past that they shouldent as a Mod. Not excatly a good standard to set.

Honestly, none of us are suitable mods. At all. Period.

We should guilt trip and pressure LiT into it and to multitask as 3 mods in 1. Or let HIM select an "apprentice" or Assistant.

No mods have been named yet though, and Rich is only going for 3, so it'll depend on Rich's judgments at the end of the day.

If a moderator steps out of line then Rich can easily de-mod, but to be honest I'd be surprised if that happend, usually people want to be mods to try to improve matters.
