It looks the same. And KeithC is right--you need MP6, or at least Model Pack 5.

Still the same--but the awesomeness factor is still 10/10!

Oh yeah, to anyone who built games before: How DO I actually build a game? I just got FPSC today, and I wanna know so I can make a game, and the manual doesn't help.

I guess mabye you can't see them ..ah well

Building a game go to file build game it's the last menu....

Well started rebuilding other levels with the nvidia compo out of the way well almost...If every thing goes well I might have a second entry ready on the 15th.

Some really basic shots of what the layout will look like again I'm still playing around a bit but should have a final level layout soon the first few levels will be warehouse type levels and then some roof top levels, even with the game having no "point" so to speak I still want a smooth flow from one level to the next.

Looks good; it's pretty easy to see the new pipework in the new shots (and a new crate on the top right?).

Huh? I'm talking about the shots where you're holding a mini-gun and M16. Pipework was added in the Mini-gun shot. You were asking for people to look for the difference...

Can you remake the download file? It doesn't work. Change it so it can go into Windows Media Player, and make sure it works.

Try right click, save target as.

I liked the video, the level design is superb and the lighting is amazing. I presume the conkers and the chaingun are placeholders for your actual character, are they?

One thing though, i think with all the lights you're using, couldn't the ambience go down a little? That would really show of the shadows.

Mabye I think it's on 15 I'll try 10

I suck at modelling so I would have to get some one to model for me or use a TGC model pack..level designing is more my scene.

For characters, I'd grab MP1 for the Swat guys, and maybe Bond's pack for some NPC's. Then MP6 for all the guns. The Sprite Pack might also come in handy.

MP6 is next on my list of things to do before I die.I'm not that fond of the sprite pack.I would rather enjoy a good particle system wich FPSC lacks...I'm hoping to see it in X10.

I hope at some point they add some kind of particle system to this version of FPSC.
The sprite pack does have some nice water effects in it.

Two things Wizard,

1. The sceenshots are great. Your use of entities, placement and lighting is wonderful. May I place some of them on fpsFREE.com? In fact, I would like to showcase this. Please let me know.

2.

Well desided this will be the waste plant level. Now that I know were the levels are heading.

Hey id, when you have the time, would you mind looking over all the levels I have for Martyr finished and see if you could spice up the layout a little. I thought they were pretty well laid out...until I saw this.

Looking at the above level layout, I found that you might be able to increase frame rate slightly by taking out stuff you don't see such as the floors in the blocks that the player can't get into. Just a thought.

Well it doesn't really matter at all and it's a better reference for me to see what forms part of the level and what doesn't.I hate holes and open areas so I make sure that the whole level is "sealed" on each level in editing mode. The levels are fairly small so it really doesn't matter if you use 5 so extra floor or wall segments.

Also it makes editing a breeze if you need to enlarge a room ect.

If you have seen most of my screenshots you would see that most of them more like 90% of them are above 30 frames

You should really though, be trying to work towards it running that fast on other people's machines.

EDIT: What are the specs for the rig your running on anyways?

Not that I hate it, that is how I learned level design from other editing programs. And should run fine on most systems above a 2.0 GHZ CPU

What's an XFX? I assume it is a graphics video board, Nvidia?

Anyways, sealing off the level may be better actually - helps keep from cracks leading into diffrent area boxes which result with rendering even more.

Yip Nvidia....FTW!!!

As for "sealing" it's not a major problem any more because of the new lightmapper which doesn't "leak" any more.I just do it to look neat...Go figure.
