That would be a really interesting feature to have. You could,with some scripting on the light, make a COD4-esque flash/stun grenade.

I have found a bug that you may wish to know about using the new release when loading the demo level i get an error stating that it cannot load object number 65123 at line 32596

Cool! I made something similar using Knxrb's moving dynamic lights in Project Blue, a lantern the player can carry that lights the way...

So your saying he cant have a holiday longer than a week, thats nice of you (Side note: when i go on holiday i go for a min of 2 weeks sometimes up to 6) So then when hes gone a week you automatically think hes run off, strangely not everyone gives up so easily and im very sure DG isn't one of the ones that does.

John since you have been here you have been then most spammign user on all of the Mod threads, to the point where im sorry but i hate to see a post by you it just means another request. You have been on all the FPSC mods like anything, i bet half of the spam posts in mod threads are by you, will you please stop the excessive posting you request so much and then you want everyone to merge with everyone else which isn't your call at all.

So in the kindest possible way STOP I dont want to seem mean because im a very reasonable guy (mostly) but it does get very trying at times.

If the mod had been put on hold, cancelled or anything alike, I'm sure DG or perhaps even someone else on the Cranox team would let us know. If there'd been a major update, we'd probably see some neat demonstrations.
So let's just assume, since DG hasn't posted in the thread for a few days, that he's either been working hard on the mod, dedicated the time to his personal life (yes, programmers also have personal lives ) or he's been away. Contrary to what some people seem to believe (from seeing threads like "omg im on vacation for a week lulz, don't miss me"), you don't have to tell everyone at an online forum if you're gone for a few days.

So, let's just patiently wait until something pops up here.

sorry guys that I was not able to write for about 2 weeks now.

I was on holidays for 2 weeks and had no internet, so there was no way to write anything.
Now I am back and hope to continue my work on the mod but I have a lot of stuff to do for school so the progress can be a little bit slow.

But I will NOT stop my work on this.
Just saying that it will not give a lot off stuff in the next weeks, but I am working on everything.

Hope understand my point and will go this way with me, the Mod will be finished. This way or another.

hey guys some good news for all of you!

I have found a copy of the latest (not the last one but one which was just some little version before the last update) of the Cranox Mod for v1.07 on my USB Stick.

So I can copy all the stuff into the 1.15 version and than try to add more stuff in it.

So if I get the time (I hate school ) I will add all the stuff in and try to sort out some little problems.
So all features I had in the last Demolevel, will be in in the new 1.15 Version.

Doesn`t that sound good? ^^

well for now I have no plans to add airmod because I have no time to get the Airmod Source running in 1.15 and hasn`t found one who can give a working 1.15 + Airmod!

Cranox Mod will be free but not open source. Thats the only change. You can get the source in some different way maybe, but not for free.

But the use of Cranox Mod will be free for any use, just name Cranox Interactive in the Credits and thats it.

What I want to add?... hm dont know exactly. Had so much ideas but now I need to get everything running and than think about that again.

the normal ToD Lightning will be in but no sky.
So its right how it is written

darkglobin hello, I'm new and am interested in your project that no doubt is great, Although I have had many problems in terms of bugs and low performance.
1-This mod has a very low yield
2-the best in your mod has been without doubt their shadows.
3-the worst has been the low yield
4-the "DOF" damage the views of some people, you like to try to lower it?
5-you liked to Implement a specific shader for windows?
6-his mod is undoubtedly the best I've seen a comparison of air mod, proyect blue and others.

thanks for this answer, I have not read because the forum told me there is nothing new.

Well there will not be a window shader for now and also the DoF is adjusted!

The biggest thing of my problems is, that I have not a lot of free time to work on it and there are a some other projects taking place with Cranox Interactive and the Mod is not the one which has priority number one.
So I need to find a way to work on both projects, but thats a hard thing, ´cause of the time.

I will not send a alpha version of the Mod to anyone ´cause I want this to work on 1.15 but that just gives me a lot of trouble.
So if there is no way to get it properly working with 1.15 I will stick to 1.07 until I know why it does not work like it should in the new FPSC version.

This Post just wants to say, its not stopped, I am working on it, but because of time and other stuff its really hard.

I have said I will finish this mod and I will do this. But because I do not know what the end of this Mod will be, I can not say how good it will be at the end.
So if there will be not a lot of information about anything, its just because I dont know what I can add or how to fix some weird bugs.

I hope you understand my point.
Also its a big problem that I am working alone on this one because nobody knows how to work with my code

But I will definately continue my work on this.

Well take your time. Yeah there may be mods popping up everywhere now but that doesn't mean no one will use yours. IM sure your mod will do just fine no matter when it comes out.

Hopefully it does get ported into v1.15 tho since thats a big thing to many.

well I have it ported to 115 but I have a big problem with the lights.
They are all screwed up a bit and it does not look very nice.

And I dont know why this is happening. Maybe some change in the new FPSC Version or something but I dont know. And until I have not fixed this, there is no need to continue the work on the 115 source.

Oh i see the lights are the problem. Well I have taken a look at v1.15 source but never 1.07 so i cant help you out with the differences there.

Also I apologize for this being off-topic but I just wanted to make a comment on that engine cranox is developing...its pretty damn cool!

hello back, I have not answered in this day because i had a difficult day ...
Any help you need just tell me and see what I can do, I have only XX years old and live in Argentina, Although I care much about your project.
I see that there are some bugs when a player "jumps" to walk on level demonstration and wanted to know if you've noticed this bug.
another thing I not liked in your demo is your water shader, Because it is some little "white" (pardon but I have no other way to explain).
I tried your demo level on this pc:
Intel core 2 duo e7300 3.8GHz Oc edition
Geforce 9500GT 512mb
2.5GB Ram
I got an average of 40 fps .. but at a resolution of 640x480!
I am very interested in video games computing, I have tried many game developers and I found Fps Creator one of the easiest and now when you leave your mod even more realistic

I have noticed the Jump bug.

The water shader is like this because I have no way to get a waterfloor thing done in FPSC like it is needed. So if you would put the water fpr an ocean, than you would get a nice ocean with some "waves" on the beach!

can you change water color? to red and height?



not a request, but check it out..
this was a mod (gx2) that made doom 3 (an awsome but alright looking game) look amazing! all it did was a reflecting wall shader, gun shader, enemy shader, a new blood decal, and ragdoll . now ragdoll and blood decal is in this mods target, but the shaders might really be good for the already great visual!






(ps: is the cranox engine going to be for fpsc?)
