hey guys, its late I know but there is something I have to say ^^.

I got a "basic" culling system working, which is hiding all objects of the static entitys and segments behind the player, so there is a huge performance boost with it.

I bow need to recode the shader system based on this cull-system, but that should not be that hard.
I think the Mod is getting better than it ever was in this one day.

@AaronG:
Yeah this will definitely be free. I am happy if someone donates later, if there is a released version. A lot of work needs to be done.

well I am still working on a performance improvement in all ways, so it runs at the best available speed.

But I think there is a high-end pc needed to run this mod on a decent speed.
Sure you could easily deactivate all shader effects like Bloom, etc, but that would not be the thing guys want to do ^^

Anyway saw the video, looking mighty fine!

Cant believe this will be free, if it is released i'll make sure i'll put up a donation (and not just €5,- or something cheap like that)

Again great job! I allways have been waiting for this mod.

Yeah it isn't DarkClouds.
These one are volumetric clouds, so you can fly through them etc.

And its nice that a lot of you guys would donate, but first let me write a version which works without big problems (maybe the gun and the enemy dont work in first version, but I hope to fix this thing!).

I really want to release a first alpha/beta version, but not everything works that fine and sometimes the performance is really... ^^ .
If I get the setup.ini Commands back in and adjusted some other things, there might be a first beta with a tutorial so you know how to use it.

Dark Goblin, what specs would you recommend we have in order to run Cranox Mod with full effects at 30+ fps?

Could my laptop even run it?:

Dual Core 2.66Ghz
4GB RAM
Mobility Radeon HD 4650 1GB

I can run EFX mod with full effects at around 30-40 FPS.

Cant say if this would run with all effects on but I think you need to turn some things off.
But we will see if I have the beta ready.

You guys realise that there's already a surface shader with specular reflection implemented that also fully supports normal mapping on segments, which would never work in vanilla FPSC?

This is downloading straight to my hard drive Can't wait to test it out.

Quote: "- Test Game does not work."

By this, do you mean build game? Because the mod won't be very useful if the game can't even be tested

So, it's only got deffered shading in it? Or are there the other previously mentioned features also?

Edit: Just played the demo game. I only got about 16fps throughout it, but the DoF is WAY overdone. Attached is a screenshot. It's almost like the player's going blind. Also, bloom was perfect, barely noticeable. One thing though, I'm guessing Metro Theater's shaders don't work with this mod because it's in V115?

Looks good though, needs major speed improvements before useability and that DoF needs some work.

It looks exactly like this ^^
