Well there's more than just the media and mod to install. There are tutorials and the manual as well as some images. Just copy the files folder into the FPSC folder.

i rate the first map **** - Very Good (The map was fun to play, nicely balanced and re playable. As always, there is room for small improvements)


Pro's -
good lighting..few zombies poped out of nowhere.
good ammo amount..cursed a few times when the guns ran out
awesome looking zombies.


Con's -
the better guns were weaker...with P90 i waisted a whole clip on one when 5 shots with the pistol killed one.
had a no scope gun buy thingo stay on my screen even when i pressed y/n.
after buying 2 healths i couldnt buy any more.

i brought the rifle and it kept the "buy rifle-no scope" thing up and kept saying access denied or something even tho i had $1.4k

I need to talk to Knxrb about that. Ye the manual was written around the same time as we decided to Z-Mod Pro and Basic. It does need re-writing.

Well Im glad that there hasnt been too many problems apart from the manual. So have you guys actually set up a zombie game yet?

i havnt even downloaded it yet

downloading it takes my houses bandwidth away..as i said earlier i will download it when i go to bed (about 3-4 hours)

Edit:
Mark..the only thing in beta testing is the mod..i think the download to the game is on the first post.

Yes , I got simple street and a couple of weapons to buy


Ive made a custom script and a 2 edited png files so you can now buy any weapon. If it is alright with Arenas I can upload for the beta testers to try out

...Bigsnake once again you carry a large sig. This is the third time I myself have witnessed you with an oversized sig going against the rules here. I for one believe a temporary ban is necessary to get the point across. If not a warning at best, for this problem has been continued.

Anyways upon my return every now and than to these forums I must say Im surprised at the lack of speed z-mod has seen. Yet I hope tis is all for the best, and im sure it is. Sounds good so far, hopefully when i check back here in a week or so its released

arenas i was doing a little 5 min test on z-mod to check for little bugs and i found if you press TAB, the test game crashes (haven't tried with built game though)

EDIT: it then crashes the engine/map editor and goes back to desktop

That is very strange. I suspect it has some link to the original Horror Mod in game editor where you pressed tab to change features (I am trying to get Knxrb to include this code). I will talk to him about it anyway.

hey arenas do i actually need to download conjured cash system separatley or not because i cant get the cash working ( i have replaced the fpsc-game.exe so it is "Z-Mod enabled" as it says in the manual)

EDIT: btw shadowfire do you mind if you email me the .fpm file for your map, i won't give it to anyone or anything stupid like that. i want to see how you've done the barriors and cash so arenas doesn't have to rush with re-writing the manual

There is no reason why the cash system provided should not work. I have checked all of the directories and it should work fine. You need to add in all of the 6 cash entities linking to the six scripts.

As for the manual, that is going to be re-written and you will see a download appear shortly of the new manual.

where are the scrips, are they cash 1, cash 2 ect.

if so do i link them to any 6 entities in my level that are just a dynamic lantern or something

EDIT (2): i know what the cash entities are forget that bit i think i got it working

EDIT (3): nope doesn't work. heres what i do: 6 paintings in my level, all are set main script to conjured cash#.
i go to entities, z-mod, donations, fuzz, boarded1.
set to dynamic, start scrip; appear1.fpi, destroy script; dissapear1.fpi, main script; scriptbank\zombie mod\barrior\750.fpi

i added some cash and an enemy and this is what happens; enemy runs at wall gets stuck and teleports through. whenh i kill it i walk up to my
barrior and nothing happens. what did i do wrong? (if anyone knows, that is)

Okay. First things first. Could you include the six entities in the level and take a screenshot of the in-game picture. If they are working properly then you should get two huds. One saying Cash and the other with the cash amount.

I will send you some screenies of what the setup should look like in the next post.

EDIT

Try setting it up with Z-Mod Modification disabled (Z-Mod disabled and Enabled wont be in the next manual thankfully)

EDIT 2

Do Not rename the cash entities the must remain as they are originally called: cs1, cs2, cs3, cs4, cs5, cs6

You dont walk up the pictures. It is all so much easier to set up if your there

Please set the charactor up in a small corridor off the main map and have a waypoint for them to enter the game. I would advise using on eof Bond1's zombies for this. I am going to see if he would be kind enough to donate any of the zombies to Z-Mod.

Below are three pictures of how the setup for the Zombies should be, the set up for the Barrier should be as well as the six entities that should be included for the money system to work.



Please note that the directory for the zombies and barriers main scripts should be slightly different as the Zombie Mod folder is in my user folder in the scriptbank. I also used directly edited bond 1 zombies. You have the same file in the Zombie Mod scripts.

I just downloaded and read the manual out of curiosity, and I'm a bit confused by what you meant by "The following weapons are supported by Z-Mod:" Does that mean that no other weapons will be able to be used for Z-mod?

Great mod i have been testing the beta a little bit
bugs:
zombie 2 from Bond1's reanimation(of course applied to zombie2)
moves really slow taking some realism out

It just means that all scripts and huds are ready made for those weapons.

Ye. Basically you copy the script. You then change the directory of the two huds needed (Unable to purchase and able to purchase). Then you change the name that the script uses for the two huds. Finally you change the totals of the cost (there are three numbers to change in the script).
