This is a very good project you are taking on, I can see your skill improving already. I also like how the bottom right hand corner of your extinguisher UV map has a winking smiley\surprised face. >;O

@Crysis: Thanks! Texture isnt my best but meh, its okay. And do you really want to use my sig? If so use this:

@darimc: Thanks mate! Yes, I am getting quite a bit better (since that Phone Booth, thats when I first started hand-painting ). I just noticed that LMAO... thats kind of freaky, but awesome in a way

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Note: I probably will not be able to release Day 8's model today as it isnt meeting my quality standards. I didnt have much time todat to work on it either, another project sucked it up. Ill be posting a thread with info about this side project within the next few hours

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

WARNING: LOW QUALITY MODELS AHEAD

Day 8: Lost track of the date, so just forget it
Model: PDA
Time taken: 30 mins.
Screenie:

This is low quality by my standards, sory for that... I didnt have time because of a different project (which I still cant really talk about). I promise though, that Day 10's model will be unbelievably better! I will upload this to FPS Files tom.
As always, DL includes Diffuse, Spec and Normal as always

Anayar

Here is the second model... Again, it isnt up to my quality standards, but its all I have for now

Day 9
Model: DVD Player
Time Taken: 30 mins.
Screenies:

DL Includes Diffuse, Spec and Normal Texture. I heavily recommend Bond1's normal-spec shader for this model as it really makes the buttons pop
Will upload to FPS Files tom.

Anayar

Well I was feeling extremely generous today (plus the doctor prescribed bedrest as my hip is getting worse), so I have THREE MODELS for you today. Whew, I really need a break lmao! Plus, since tom. is friday, I thought I would save the other cool model I have been working on for you till then.

Well here they are:

Day 10, Model 1
Model: Electricity Pole
Time Taken: 30-45 Mins.
Screenie(sorry for the bad screenshot on this one... I couldnt get a light postitioned properly so had to increase the ambience):

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Day 10, Model 2
Model: Microwave
Time Taken: 30-45 mins.
Screenies:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Day 10, Model 3
Model: Speakers (to go with the CD/DVD Player)
Time Taken: 10-15 mins.
Screenies:

All models inclue Diffuse, Spec and Normal maps (IDK why I keep mentioning this). I will uplaod them to fps-files tom.

Well I hope you guys enjoy the 3 models for today. It probably wont happen again ... its times like this when it sucks and rocks to be injured lol. Please leave a comment if you DL... its really motivating to read the kind (or critical... those are even better) comments that are posted. Wish me a quick recovery

Anayar

Get better quickly anayar! I have but just one crit, which is the microwave texture. The front of it is grunged up, while the rest is (relatively) clean. Just a small error, Everything else looks great!

Take a look at the early posts here, it's a blog I own about my model making;

http://armourmodels.blogspot.com

There's a three part article about how I make them, and there's a load of hints and tips about plastic model making in general

As you can see, plastic models I have no problems with, it's just computer models I struggle with lol

BTW thanks for the latest downloads, nice work as usual

Thanks mate! Yeah, the reason for that is I assumed the front would be the side getting the most use and therefore dust/ wear-and-tear, so I thought it would be a bit more grungy. I can upload a less grungy version of it if you would like

Quote: "Great work anayar! Hope you will recover soon"

Thanks Crysis!

@Bruce: Cool, Ill check it out ... and thanks!

@Dipo: Well, I am resting lmao. Just whipped these models up really quick (I think Im gettign faster lol). Thanks, and maybe ill take a break after this weekend

Thanks for all the kind comments guys!

Here ya go, I uploaded Day 10's models to FPS-Files; here are the links
Day 10, Model 1: http://www.fps-files.com/download.php?view.867
Day 10, Model 2: http://www.fps-files.com/download.php?view.869
Day 10, Model 3: http://www.fps-files.com/download.php?view.868

Well, I try not to bump without an update, so here it is:
I am taking a break from this project today to work on something special for you guys. The model I am talking about is currently being textured and I am going to try and rig (I think that gave it away) it tomorrow. Here are some W.I.P screens; Modelling is done, now I am onto UV Mapping and texturing... let me know if anyone wants to see a wireframe

W.I.P Screenies:
In milkshape (I hate that Milkshape doesnt have a rendering feature...)

Attempt to render in Marmoset Toolbag; Im sure it would look better if I knew what I was doing lmao...

I like to call this guy the USMG z13... Stands for Universal Machine-Shot Gun z13. Name comes from the fact that reference pictures from 3 different guns were used to create this;

1. Benelli M4 Shotgun
2. FN FAL
3. Some gun I found when I searched "Assault Rifle" on google.

Well, leave some crits and if anyone would like to see a wireframe and a few better screenshots let me know. Oh yeah, and if anyone has used Marmoset toolbad before and could offer soem tips I would really appreciate it. Thanks.

Cheers,
Anayar

Please give me some crits before I finish the texture... by then it will be a bit too late

Nice weapon so far, how about a fore sight just behind the barrel? Oh, and it needs some sort of magazine/box feed/belt feed.

My bad... Ofcourse, a gun needs ammo
Will add now... the ammp has a different texture anyways... or we could say this gun is some kind of futuristic weapon which never runs out of ammo lmao

Thanks for the comment

Cheers,
Anayar

EDIT: And I purposely didnt add a foresight because the barrel is on a lower level than the rest of the gun and it just looks weird... infact, the more I look at this gun, the weirder it looks lol. But I like it

@Sic1ne: Thanks mate!

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Texture Update:
I finished texturing the gun (minus the ammo clip, which I will add later). Im making final edits and hope to release this by tom. or the day after. Im taking a break from this project today (but was still working on this gun lol) so model DL's will continue tom

Anyways, onto the update
Here is the clean version of the gun... on request I will also make a grungy version

Marmoset Render:

So since I got like 3 comments on the gun I am assuming that the gun is perfect lol... JK. Come on guys, rain on my parade, give me some good C&C please

Lol, post malfunction Abhi?

On thing that I'd change is the handle on that gun. It's too slanted without a good grip that gun will fly in your face. LOL!

More like this:

Well, Im kind of disappointed frankly... Was hoping for a few more comments atleast about the gun. Anyways, as promised, here is Day 11's model.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Day 11
Model: Road Cone
Polygons: 60
Time Taken: 30 mins.
Screenies (I kind off like these lol):

Model is completely Hand-Textured . Hope the freebie atleast will grab a bit of attention lol. As always, all files needed to make the model shader ready are included. Enjoy. Will upload to FPS-Files tom.

Cheers,
Anayar
