Anayar,

Since you're looking for critique on the shotgun...

My first question would be where is the magazine or magazine tube?

Check out the AA-12. Devastating weapon.

Sorry for the double post, but it is an update...

Rigged the UMSG to MP6 hands. Its not great... I would much rather have used EAI's hands, but Im really not sure weather he would allow me to release this with them. So MP6 will have to do... you guys can play around with it and rig them to EAI's hands yourself

Anyways, enough talk, onto screens:
In-Game (Rigged to MP6 Hands):

Texture:

I hope seeing it in-game atleast will get a little bit more of a reaction. Ill either finish tweaking it and release it today (As Day 12's model) or tom. The ironsights dont work ATM, it zooms in to the scope view. If anybody knows how to fix that I would really appreciate it if you could share!

If it is tom., I will still give you guys a model for today... dont worry, youll get youre daily supply of free models lol

Leave a comment or two about the gun please

Cheers,
Anayar

[EDIT]I will upload a new render in a few hours showing the added mag and redone handle. You cant see them in the screenshots [/EDIT]

Looks very nice, and would be a weapon I would actually use in a game.

With a strong normal map (8-15) set on the phong shader (the one used in cosmics pack) that could look really nice, have a look at one of the iron sight scripts for the mp6 weapons (there somewhere around here)(preferably the gun you rigged it from) and try use that one.

just constructive critics: expand it slightly in width, then it looks more massive (or it seems a bit too much in height for the hands, choose what you want )

Thanks mate! The current Normal is 5... I should increase it huh? And where can I get this phong shaders? I am TOTALLY illiterate when it comes to shaders... hell I dont even know how to apply one lmao. Can you point me is the right direction?

And nice new model btw... I wonder is Crysis has anymore

@Maho76: Well, I might try that... Im loving how easy it is to rig to MP6 hands lol

Well, i just got a comment saying to make it bigger lmao... I think Ill keep it the same

@King Fluffs: Thanks

UPDATE

I got Ironsights working. Edited them so the gun does a more of Battlefield: Bad Company thing... it doesnt zoom all the way, just gets closer. Quite a cool effect actually and I quiet enjoy guns which do this. You guys can edit it however you want when I release it Thinking of doing a few weapon packs after this PMC... never realized it was this easy lol

Let me know what you think... I will be releasing this only tom., as I am not too pleased with the hand placement. I will try my best to get a model done today, but no promises as its getting late here (I try to sleep by 10:30 and invariably wake up at 6 )

good UV mapping texture but could have got away with doing the bottom left corner texture by putting over the others giving you more room but good result all the same, the graffiti is a great touch. Thanks

that gun looks BADASS. mind if i ask if the texture is hand painted? If not, would you mind trying to do a texture by hand, kinda gives it a bit more useablity to me If not, still definately useable just to make it that little bit 'Bootable'

Thanks mate! Did you mean the oddly shaped, dark grey thing? Thats a box map of the light-covers all mashed together. IMO they still turned out fine lol. Yeah, Im not quite sure why I'm including graffiti on these... I think Im going through a graffiti phase lmao. NP, glad you like it

Thanks. Nope, there would have been something in the comment if it was hand-painted . Not sure I have the time to hand paint a gun as large as this one (ATM), but I may try a pistol for you (after the PMC... or towards the end). lol, 'Bootable'... OT: Hey Ben. I sent you the thing... did you get it?

@Crysis: Man, that sucks! Hope its all going well though

Thanks for the comments guys!

Cheers,
Anayar

[EDIT] @Bootlicker: Well, technically the gun is 20% hand-painted if thats enough lol [/EDIT]

Read and replied

Don't worry about not being able to release a model today. The thread title said 30 models in 30 days, it didn't say anything about 1 model per day for 30 days!! Bearing that in mind, I believe you're still on target (just)!!

I think he could still pull off 30 models in 30 days, if he focused on models and not policing the forums. I take 30 days to texture one model so I can't do one of these 30 days and 30 models....lo

As promised, here they are. Comes in two seperate posts... first we will do Day 14's model:

Day 14
Model: Fuse Box
Time Taken: 30 mins.
Desc: A low-poly fuse-box... fits in almost any scene. Texture is only 256x256... the last few models are showing that lowering the texture resolution really doesnt make the models look bad
Screenies:

Day 15 will come in next post... DL includes Diffuse, Spec and Normal tex. Enjoy!

P.S: I will upload these to FPS-Files tom.

Model: Metal Detector Gates
Time Taken: 30 Mins.
Desc: A pair of low-poly metal detector gates to fit in any security situation you might have. Proudly brought to you by ANAYAR SOLUTIONS in cooperation with SECURITY SPECIALISTS Be warned, you will have to spread them apart more if you want the player to pass through... as it stands ATM the player cant go through the gate (that might be useful in some way too, who knows?)
Screenies:

Whew, enough modelling for the day... wouldnt have been as tired but for certain events taking place on this forum which were very unforeseen. Anyways, Enjoy!
