Damn, you definitely stole my idea for the security scanners. I'm kidding, but I am actually putting scanners in my new security pack, various types though.

Quote: "Thanks for your latest models Anayar, I think they'll both be usefull for the later levels in my game's full version"

NP mate, It would be cool to see these in Seclusion

Quote: "When will you cease to amaze me?? (Never)

I don't know if this has been answered before, so here I go. Can I use this in one of my Non-FPSC projects?"

LOL, thats the plan mate... And as for using in non-fpsc games; Teh licence for all my models are the same:

You may use it commercially or non-commercially in any game engine, credit is not required but would be appreciated. You may freely distribute the models with full credit to me, but you MAY NOT make a profit from any of these models.

@King Fluffs: Thanks!

@Darimc: LOL, sorry mate. Anyways, your pack is coming around quiet nicely... love the textures. Anyways, cant wait to see any new stuff you come up with

Cheers,
Anayar

Sorry for the double post Mods...

Anyways, I just saw this picture posted by Exu Corporation in one of his threads. He said something like "Thats why scene's like these are impossible in fpsc". I am taking this as a personal challenge and going to try and re-create every asset used in this scene and re-create this entire scene in fpsc.
(<---- LOL Darkjames!)

Nothing to do with Exu, just taking it as a personal challenge. So for the rest of the 30 days, you can expect models that directly correspond with this scene... wish me luck

Full size image is attached... It was stretching the screen even on my large laptop lol.
Cheers,
Anayar

Wow, what is that from?
It looks great!

Good luck with this Anayar, your media so far has been quite good, so I hope you have both a difficult challenge, and a great success.

If I were you though, I would be setting myself just a tad more time

Ofcourse it does mate, its Crysis 2 lol. Anyways, thanks mate, and I hope so too. Nah, I believe I can do it

@AA: Thanks mate... me neither lol

@Bruce: I am a very ambitious person lol. I hope I do too

NOTICE:

I wont be uploading a model everyday for the next few days, only posting screenshots of them. The reason for this is that I want to build a good chunk of the scene before I spend a good hour getting in-game screens of every model and waiting for the file to upload to the site.

Anyways, I WILL be posting images of the day's models... you guys are just gonna have to trust me that 30 models WILL be done in 30 days

So todays model is the painting that you cant miss in the background. I tried to re-create the texture to the best of my ability... added a few touches too (The shadows are part of the texture, not from the render). As is most always the case, texture is hand-painted

Let me know what you think

Cheers,
Anayar

I now realize it is from crysis 2
I had it on my second monitor at the time, which didn't show the entire image.

Again, hope it goes well.
Looking forward to some nice shots!

@xlsheriklx: Thanks mate

@Titanium: That is my usual style, but in the screenshot it looked clean as gold so Im leaving it that way

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

UPDATE:

Here is today's model. Those Biohazard boxes lying around. The texture is not final as I have to add some more detail... but its just minor details (like a crease that goes along the sides and top) so this image will do Im seriously starting to love Marmoset... might have to buy it

Screenies:

Texture:

Let me know what you think... Comments are Crits are as always extremely appreciated !

LOL mate, have you read the thread?? This isnt some model I created from the top of my head... its entirely and totally based on the screenshot. The color is the same as the one in the screen... the texture is as close to the one in the scene as possible (actually its a bit grungier, but thats fine by me)... and the model is for the most part similar to the screenshot. I mean yes, its boxy... i realize that, but look closely at the model (I looked at it with 10x zoom) and you yourself will see that its basically a box

Its not that Im not receptive to Crits, its just that I get frustrated when people dont read the whole thread...

Cheers,
Anayar

From what I see it has a bit of chamfering on the sides, but that doesn't mean you have to recreate it 100%.Maybe add some dirt on the edges to give it a better look?

By the way,did you receive my e-mail?

I did read it.
You're trying to recreate the Crysis Screen by making models.
Seriously, you even asked for critism.
I didn't like it.

Your new challenge is coming along nicely.

I'm going to reserve c&c on individual models until we see them all completed and placed in the scene, so that we can compare them to the original

I will say this however; so far, so good!

Yeah mate, will chamfer the edges... Ill edit the texture depending on how it looks then
And yes... received and replied (sorry, it was under a whole bunch of facebook messages... I had to literally search "AK" to find it lol)

No mate, IM sorry for posting. It was late here and now that I look at it in the morning, i can see that you were absolutely right (on the boxiness part atleast). Hope you can accept my sincere apologies... and I will try and make soem changes to this particular model!

@Crysis: I'm not sure what you mean... could you elaborate?

@X-Games: Open and Closed are two seperate models... Im working on the open box one today

@Bruce: Thanks mate! Yeah, sure, sounds good

Anyways, I will try to make the suggested changes and will repost a screeny today.

Now.. I'm going to say this.

It's still to clean for me

We must have different styles.
Like, seriously.
Its a little toooo yellow, and could do with some dirt.

But thats ME coming out of what I like better in a texture.
It's still a really great piece of work though

Anyways, shoot guys. Ive been crabbing about milkshape without really knowing all the stuff it had Just found a set fo new features which should help my models improve

LOL, what skill level? IMO the only way I can go is up... anyways, thanks mate

Here is the NEW, Edited Biohazard box model;
I wanted to see what the difference between the Milkshape screenshot and Marmoset Render was... There wasnt much of a noticable deifference except that Marmoset rendered skylight
Milkshape:

Marmoset:

Let me know what you guys think of the new model... I dont think its exactly like the one in the image anymore, but hey, artists can take a few liberties no?

You copycat! Lol.
Just joking, nice work.I'm eager to see a complete texture. You know what's funny?Mine is also modeled from a Crysis 2 shot. There are 2 supporting plates on the bottom of the ends, maybe you should add those.

Really? Dang... what a coincidence man (kinda freaky lol). Anyways, didnt see the supporting plates in this particular screeny so I didnt add them... let me know if I should

Yes,it's rather awkward.

If you think about it logically, you should. If the fence is placed on soil it can penetrate it and there's no need for the plates, but in this case,it's concrete.Without them the structure would 'collapse' (meaning the fence will fall down easily)

If you look at the fence on your screenshot on the far left, you can see those plates slightly

@Gencheff: Well I wouldnt say awkward lol... anyways, now that you mention it, not having those base supports makes no sense lol. Anyways, Ill be sure to add them.

UPDATE:

I seem to be getting LESS and LESS time to model every day (or Im just not using my time effectively... probably the former). Anyways, I began modelling the metal fence and the police barricade. I dont want to clutter this thread with W.I.P shots so Im only going to post them when they are finished with textures. Anyways, to make up for the models I might have missed, Im going to try and do two tom. For some reason modelling for me takes like 10-15 mins... then UV'ing takes a while followed by texturing which is the real time killer... I swear, i could do hundreds of models in 30 days if all I had to do was model

Anyways, here is todays model... uses the same mesh as the painting, but the texture is different. And Ben, before you can tell me to grunge it up, i already did lol, dont worry. The screenshot was just taken before Oh yeah, sorry, today's model is that Ticket Counter on the left side... atleast I think it is a ticket counter

Screenies:

I dont know if you can clearly see the transparency from this image, but its there very clearly in milkshape.
Texture:

So give me some crit on the model... I didnt know what the text said so I made up my own lol. Hope its not TOO bad

Cheers,
Anayar

great job i like what im seeing so far !!! anayar and gencheff nice barrier rails they both look great two different styles i like that and the pictures in the frames look awsome they really stand out this pack is moving along nicely !!! hey is there a modeling software that actually teaches you how to model or some real tutorials for beginners as i know nothing of modeling but want to learn but i do not want random tutorials. i need to learn from the start so i understand what i am doing? any ideahs? i hate bugging people on the forums i post so many questions all the time and ask for help lol. i need a good modeling software for a beginner with tutorials or a guide to learn..? now i see this question all the time and the person always leaves a big list of softwares what software is the best to learn modeling on and has tutorials or a guide to help me learn? sorry for posting this here but i figure you wouldnt mind one post from me since you my pal lol

Thanks Sic1ne. Ofcourse I dont mind lol.

Anyways, I dont think there is a modelling software that TEACHES you as you have to learn modelling, but there are plenty of great tutorials out there. Anyways, If you are using/have Milkshape, Ive been writing a tutorial which covers Modelling, UV Mapping, Texturing and Getting the model FPSC ready IN-DEPTH and which treats you like youve never used the program. SO far only the modelling part is done... but that itself is 27 pages long. Let me know if you want to check it out

If youre looking for a good modelling software for BEGINNERS, I suggest either Wings or Milkshape. I prefer Milkshape as I find it a lot more intuitive. Anyways, the tutorial I wrote is for Milkshape only so if you have Milkshape and want to test it, Im looking for someone like you who has yet to start modelling. All my other testers already have some experience... I need someone who has been waiting to start. If u hav Milkshape and the time to get started, shoot me and email

You know that telephone model you made on the first couple of pages?
I would be careful with that bell symbol. Especially on a phone.
Looks just like the Bellsouth bell. MY dad use to work for them, but now they are AT&T. Good models BTW.

A. They dont exist anymore
B. That is a generic bell symbol... you cant exactly copyright it lol If they ask me to give them proof that I made it, Ill just draw it for them in a couple of seconds lol
