Hi there!
I finally obtained my DBPro cd-rom... & Spent 2 days converting my old code from GC to DBPro.
I noticed that in this version of DBPro there are several bugs... & some commands doesn't react same GC... so it made me a LITTLE CRAZY:...

Before asking questions & putting problems I would like to show you the first result on DBPro of my game that would be a Puzzle Game & FPE (First Person Enigma)

The game will be availiable in 3 Languages (French, Italian & English) & the languages can be switched while playing too...

Here you can have a look to:

Welcome screen & selection board (I think this is not the final one)

Loading page... It will be different on each level (presume 99)

First Cinemetic picture - Each time you enter in a Puzzle level, a cinematic will introduce the player into the new enigma & shows some tips to solve the puzzle.

This is the first screen of the first level. To solve this level & pass on the Floor Enigma the player has to click on the 4 columns anticlockwise. The problem will be that player has only 3 tries & he don't know wich one is the first to click.

Another topic will be made for the questions...
Any comment will be appreciated!!!!

Neat! I'm a fan of the myst series starting at riven...Myst itself was utterly boring for me, but the rest of the series was great. I like the puzzle adventure games.

But it was my first post & my first come here... So... it's just a little mistake...
But I really don't think it may disturb anyone...
... Or maybe the moderator could move the post if he really want to because I don't know if I can & how to do...

here are some screens of the first cinematics ready to be used into the game.
Level 3 will be a labyrinth... & I'm taking lot of fun to give it a hard play...
HERE IS A QUESTION: DO YOU THINK IT IS NECESSARY TO HAVE A MAP OR IS IT MORE INTERESTING TO MOVE INSIDE THE LABYRINTH USING EVIDENCES ???

LEVEL DONE
LEVEL DONE

Tomorrow... some new screens...

In the next 2 weeks I will also prepare a version that can be played until level 2... So, if you're interested, have a look to this topic in the next 2 weeks.

So...
I made a huge progress into my 2d level of the game.
Created 2 new puzzles to solve using player hability.
In this case, a tile come down from the screen & the player has to press the respective key on the keyboard before the tile touches the bottom of the screen.

- First difficult is that the tile becomes transparent while scrolling on the screen
- Second difficulty is the speed of the display. After a certain number of tiles, speed is increased.
- There is 6 level of difficulty that will be used into the room...

here is a screenshot of the Enigma:

The next step will the creation of the new puzzle to solve.

So... here is a new screen taken from the level 2.

Here are some detailed description:

1st puzzle (Completed) - Screenshot aboove
2d puzzle (Completed) - Player has to use keyboard to solve this game
3d puzzle (Completed) - Player has to use keyboard to solve this game
4th puzzle (completed)- Player has to use keyboard to solve this game
5th puzzle (In progress)- Player has to use keyboard & Mouse to solve this game

Still programming the way the camera has to move between each block.
Find that the command "set camera to follow" works fine only when coordinates are far from the "cible"...
I've to find a way to obtain the same result also when camera is near the next point.

- Have to fix the fading effect on objects when they disappear.
- Have to create the player interface
- Animation on Enigma 5 have to be rendered again.
- Text writing for the 5 enigmas

There is now 12 musics mp3 availiable for the game & 5 are used for the firts 2 levels!!!

Hi there!!!
Here I'm I coming back from my vacations... So now, I will start again coding my game... & have full of new ideas...
3 days spent to Poitiers (where there is a "fun parc" dedicated to all the 3d world & where I've seen Impressing 3d movies (with LCD glasses for the most of them).. )

Have a nice day!!!!!

P.S.: In the next 2 weeks I will prepare the first levels Beta. Due to the large amount of media, I will let the beta availiable for a limited time only. So, if you are interested in Beta-testing the first 2-3 levels of Kalimee, please contact me by mail at: webmaster@vues3d.com. Once the setup pack availiable, i will send a mail to all the interested people.

I finally get the result I expected for the level 1 & its matrix. I finally understood the way how to texture each tile of the matrix!!!!
I had read many tutorials, but none of them was explicitely created for "dummies" so, just yesterday i found a code on my pc & finally tried to understand... &... I got it.

60% of the player interface ready.
Terminated the definitive landscape for the level 1
Beginning of the model for the level 4
Created some textures to for Kalimee
Beginning of the script for the introduction to the game.
