The kap.exe are the unique chapters.

They weren`t used for faster laoding, but because of the fact that the storywriter liked the idea of cjapters being unique games.

However, here`s the ultimate Patch, bringing Anderson to v1.02, there is a patch for Retail AND Demo version:

http://www.worthdownloading.com/game.php?gid=2726

Readme Patch: (You`ll see that even your suggestions here came into the patch)

Changelog Anderson v1.02

Interface / Content Access:

- Added "Play Intro" Button to Game Book
- Added "Open Bonus Folder" to Game Book (Full Version Only)

Tech / Engine:

- Loading Times reduced by 45% - 85%, depending on System & Chapter *)
(Warning: On very fast systems, loading time can be shorter than Audiobook text)
- Increased Performance on both Single Core & Dual Core Systems **)
(Dual Core still recommended)
- Lags removed after dying / finishing chapter
- Several Engine / Pyhsics Bugs removed ***)

Graphics:

- Shadows are softened more to enhance realistic and grim look
- Opponents are rendered a little bit better, increased visibility
- Static red fire lights replaced by flickering, realistic ones
- Some Textures replaced by better ones

Gameplay:

- Balancing: Reduced difficulty level
- Balancing: MP40 Skills of opponents are lowered and slightly increasing throughout the chapters
- Balancing: Reduced damage output of "Wunderwaffe", but slightly increased range
- Balancing: Reduced accuracy and peak damage of Panzerfaust
- Balancing: Acid Ammunition for MP40 has far higher Damage Output against Lovecraft Creatures
- AI: Some "key enemies" have now an AI that is worth to be called so

- Level Design: The answers to some riddles are more obvious
- Level Design: Some hidden level passages are now better approachable
- Level Design: Jump & Run Passages eased
- Level Design: "Player Traps" disarmed

Multiplayer: (Full Version only)

- Bonus Multiplayer Games "Past, Future, Present", "Hall of Death" and "Ticket to Home" have now full Online gaming support, including portal server!
- "Clash of the Undead" is still LAN only

*)Except Chapter 9 and 14, due to implemented scripted and hard-coded elements
**) After dying, the performance boost is lost on few systems if loading or chapter restart is selected immediaetely.
In this case, please leave the chapter and start it inside the book again.
***) One is left: SOmetimes, RObert gets stuck without reason. Please press simply crouch "c" and move on to get him free.

Speaking to the FPSC Community: The patch brings Anderson to FPSC Version 1.06, replaces some textures, changes the Level design to make some things more obvious, and works out a new balancing.

The framerate is soooo much better with the 1.06 upgrade. In my opinion anyone useing anything less than 1.06 is wasting time and limiting their audience. I very much enjoyed the demo and am anxiously awaiting the full version.

Yeah, the director and storywriter casted some local actors, but when it came to Anderson and they came to the conclusion that he has to be fat and somehow shabby, they took a look at me and said "perfect" ^^

Its an internally made game of the publisher, so the pub made it with an inhouse dev team. So hes not an indie. If you read back you will see he had 20 people on it and he works at JoWooD.

right just played the game and for the most part very good I loved the intro what tool did you use to get the artwork to animate like that I would like to use it for my work and the idea of using voice recordings during the loading screens is ingenious and the artwork plot and music were very good. And the puzzles were well thought out but now for the negative part of the review there were some bugs like when you blow up the crates with the artillery cannon the med kits on the creates stay floating in the air also I hated the look of the levels they were very very gray nothing but large empty ware houses with no atmosphere then there’s the difficulty it's very hard which is made more annoying by fpsc long loading times and there some really terrible slow down in the large areas but that probably my computer anyway overall I would say 7/10 a nice effort and defiantly worth buying

That`s either a lie or a statement emerging from lack of knowledge.

1. I quit my Job at JoWooD in 2005, I`m only still doing the communtiy work because of lack of a successor. I`m a freelancer, with some interesting tasks in Marketing / PR too, but NO Employee. My company is not owned by or affiliated with JoWooD, it`s just the usual developer - publisher relationship with a decent share of insider view.
2. Read the Copyright Line on the DVD or Box. It`s all C2007 Homegrown Games, thats MY label within MY company and no JoWooD stuff.
3. Except of three guys and the film staff all of the "20 people on it" were volunteers.
4. Indie games are described within the business as games with less then 300k US$ of Budget. "Andersons" didn`t even have 20% of that sum, including all the money spent on the movie scenes...

Allright, and now to the serious statements:

First of all, the hat is part of the character, but it didn`t fit well, so I had to wear the baby hat of my little doughter beneath it.

Second, the full game requires about 5 Gig of Harddisk Space, including the bonus material.

Third - @ small fish: Please install the patch described above. It cuts down the loading times AND decreases the difficulty extremely.

By the way just noticed the extras folder nice idea to include all the extra artwork and stuff really like the poster with cthulhu sitting on his throne you have a very talented artist

The patch adds the "Play Intro" and "open Bonus Folder" option to the book, so everyone should be able to see the bonus content after installing it.

The tools used for the moving artwork were: Pen & paper for drawing, Photoshop for Post Production and layering and some kind of Sony movie software I can`t even spell...

I suppose the sony movie software is what animated the art and is really expensive right? Just it’s a really nice effect that I would love for my games and it’s going to be way out of my price range isn’t it

It's called Sony Vagas. It is ÂŁ59.48 on Amazon.

TATBS 1.8 is now fully functional. Brilodis is having its districts extracted to Battle City. Krina and Karin are twice the size. And you’ll see 5 times as many breeds of monsters... It’s Kalspher V3.

Despite the bad reviews on the big sites and all I think the game is pretty good (for an FPSC game). I don't mean any offense by that but that game between the shelves, well would probably seem like a letdown to some people that were expecting a 'real' (not fan made).

Still, I think it's the best FPSC game out there! So you did a good job, and it made it to the shelves which is one hell of a thing to do :o, congrats!

Its amazing that you took the game to such a high level of publishing along with the likes of E.L.E. I only downloaded the demo and thought it was very good good luck with sales and stuff

Well, I`m not dissapointed from the reviews so far, except of some where I knew after reading the first sentences, that the reviewer didn`t play more then 2 chapters and of course I´m fed up of editors who even didn`t know the name \"Lovecraft\".

However, with an avarage rating between 50 and 60 percent (or 5.0 to 6.0 out of 10) we`ve beaten the sh*t out of several huge projects with a budget of some hundred k (if not more), and all of the serious reviews are at least mentioning the great storyline and our way of storytelling. And those reviews we really care about, because we know the magazines and their importance, came out with 60% or higher - that`s simply overwhelming for such a lowest budget production.

After finding in the MP8 all that what we would have needed for a special part of the game that didn`t make it into final version, we are working on a AddOn that contains that last part of the story. We intend to give it away for free to the Anderson customers.

I already gave away the script and the instructions for free, I`d never charge money for a script...

It`s inside the game, but we canned the mandatory usage of a vehicle because of the fact that it works quite buggy.

You will find all instructions, variations, the different scripts, physics settings and demonstration videos on page 5 of this thread.

And here we go with the very first (heavy W.I.P) Pictures:

You´ll play as Stefan Albers, the Wehrmacht Staff Sgt. who helped Robert to survive the madness. The story will lead him through unknown dungeons of Burg Landers to places quite far from home and (if the work progresses as good as now) to the hugest combined indoor / outdoor Level ever made in FPSC without loosing performance...
