Like a bad smell,I always come back.

Mostly I use Max.

I really dont know yet,if it turns out to be three or four levels only it will be be free,if I find the stamina to create a larger game there will be a small cost for it,I'm not really money oriented with this.

A little more on the werewolf.

Quote: "Have you a demo or something"

Not yet,I still have to work out some kind of gameplay and weapons which will need some more modeling and scripting,I do have a few complete levels built but still have to work on the puzzles, dynamic objects, doors, characters, cutscenes and all the other things needed to make it interesting to the player.
At the moment I just have the environments ready, but things are moving on and it may not be long now so keep an eye out

I absolutely love the model but hate to ask- How many pollies is it? Or are you just using some really creative normal mapping? will this be for X9 or X10 because it looks like its leaning toward x10. high quality indeed

The above is a zbrush render D13,still to finish the hair on the legs, then render out the texture/normal maps.
I got zbrush a couple of months ago and this the first chance I have had to get into it,though I did use it briefly in college a few years back so I was well aware of the strange way in which it works, takes a bit of getting used to.
The low poly version is 3,156 poly's,which is fairly reasonable,I really dont see the difference between using an 8,000 poly character or having four 2000 poly characters in one scene, but maybe I'm missing something here.
I think it would work in both x10 and x9 no problem tho' the x10 will undoubtedly look better and run faster.

Of course you can Johny, just grab whatever images you want to use from this thread.

You should finish this for x9, Then if your computer maches the specs(and your wallet does to) Make a x10 version.

Oh remember when this was a city? Such a wonderflee better choice.

Really, there has been nothing like this done with fpsc.

Im rawy,

I expect there will be a lot of games like this when Bond1 and Jon release their fantasy packs.
I probably will get x10 when it's released and if so will create a newer game for it,maybe use some of the media from this in it.
I intend this particular game to be for x9 though.

The idea of hosting it exclusively is tempting. Let me see if I can come up with a way to get people involved with it - perhaps some kind of contest. When I have some ideas, I'll email you about it.

Thanks for your consideration.

Best.

@rolfy, The way you design your levels makes them look like a giant world, instead of a relatively small grid.

Completely amazing, i love every bit of it, just when i think you might take a while on your next piece of stunning work, it just keeps coming like a...um, no i got nothing.

The sad fact is that i can read script, but i just cant write it.

rolfy,

I rarely comment on any one elses games as everyone will know. It is not my place, however in this instance I break a rule and have to lend support to everyones excellent comments. Your excellent work deserves the support of the whole community.

Built the waterfall area into Marek's lair level.
This will be the puzzle area to gain entrance to the keep.

You can see a switch behind the waterfall which opens the door. But the water will kill you,you have to find a way to turn it off.

So far the levels are pretty huge but I have not experienced any problems with lag.
I will continue to build the indoor area into this level if I have any problems then I will make sure there is plenty to do before the level is complete,no point in creating a large area which the player only spends a few seconds in,if the level has to be small it will probably mean a harder puzzle or fight, probably both.

@Rolfy

I like the way you think when it comes to game design.
Your logic sounds pretty good when designing levels and what not.
Everyone that uses FPSC should learn from you, including myself.

I second that, it looks much bigger than the 40X40 grid, have you made the grid larger in the source code? Thats pretty simple to do, but that means you would be using V1, correct?

or he could just be creatively useing his skyboxes very well to give the impression of a larger area. an artist of his caliber could pull it off easily an make it seem as part of the surrounding area.
