Here I was thinking that would be an article from the crackpot David Wolfe.
Hey, in case anyone was wondering, being a moderator is actually quite the job. I'm one of only two on the Godot forums so far and as a result I have to try to read posts as they come in, and patrol every board. Thankfully, everyone on that forum is a decent user (so far), so I haven't had to lock any threads yet. But I don't look forward to the day that will happen, and it's not a matter of "if" sadly.
I do not have the power to delete threads, ban users or even put on post moderation. All I can do is lock and move topics to the admin board and contact the admins (of which there are about 6), who will be able to then ban users if they deem it the right thing to do. So, thankfully, that lifts quite a bit of responsibility off of me, but at the same time I'm almost positive that will change in the future because the amount of members is growing rapidly, meaning the likelihood of the admins being able to do such actions in a reasonable amount of time will go down.
That being said, it's nice to see people respect the status on the forums, but otherwise I am just another user.
