Sweeeeet. Samsung just got updated touch wiz and got rid of the hideously ugly turquoise UI and replaced it with a much better white color. From Windows 95 era to 2016! Excellent!

There were a few other changes as well. Some of the text is bit bolder and therefore looks almost fuzzy somehow, but I'll get used to that.

Brilliant work! I consider it modern art of the highest rate.

But would you know it! I pressed the "WiFi Rotate" button; lo and behold, I hear a clunk from the other room. I go in there, the router has fallen on its side (i.e. it's rotated 90 degrees). Oh the power of a handheld device!

Pfffft. This forum, I think, is dead. Impeach the president! Jk

Gah YouTube! For the longest time, YouTube videos failed miserably at handling putting the computer to sleep. If you had a video open and loaded while you put the computer to sleep, the computer would wake back up and the video would be dead. They then fixed that, and it worked great. Now it's broken again!

Is that a shadow I see behind the plant? Just part of the texture, or rendered real time? I'd assume real time because ray casting. In any case, damn.

Yes, fascinating indeed!

And damn! Dailymail.co.uk's video player has successfully upset me (what software doesn't? ) You begin playing the video, and all of the controls immediately disappear. Not that it had any to begin with (volume?). Clicking to the side of the video, which appeared to be blank space, took me to a different page.

Why is software design so grotesquely horrible these days?

Even my phone's new update and Windows 10 have been chalk full of stupid bugs for which no software developer in a position of such responsibility could possibly have any excuse. Just wrong. Skype is almost one of the more reliable programs now; somehow everything else is stooping down to its level. And then you have Spotify, arguably the epitome of crap poor software design.

Here it is with no RF modulator, composite cable, or filter to blur the dithering.

I added optional temporal dithering. It works pretty well when it matches the refresh rate instead of being a 10 fps gif.

This emulator does something incorrectly.

Ah, nifty interesting!

And hey! I found a website that was designed properly! Inc.com it was; I had to sign up to read one of their articles (ugh), but upon doing so, it took me to the article I was trying to look at without me having to manually go there again! Fantastic! Most sites just dump you back to the home page once they get your information, even if you were prompted from a specific page. Four stars!

Hmmm, I don't care about double posting anymore. I have a lot of fun and interesting (to me ) stuff to say all the time and I'm not going to let a lack of activity keep that from coming out. At the very least, my obscure ramblings could keep the forum from being completely bare of activity.

The attached website image: what's with the black bar at the top?!?!?! Fail.

Also, prolly going back to Windows 7 soon. Windows 10 is, quite sadly, a pile of crap as my experiences have gone. Not as bad as 8, but not acceptable either.

I don't know why Geek Culture is being ignored by almost everyone. The AppGameKit and even DBP/DBC boards are still pretty active, in fact probably more active than I've seen them in a while.

I just haven't been on as much because I've been made a moderator at the Godot Forums, so I check that way more often than I check anything else. Plus, I am learning Godot, and can't really learn anything about it here...

It's a shame to see Geek Culture dying, but I really don't know why people are ignoring it. I guess it just doesn't interest people as much anymore.

I think that if every thread automatically redirected here to the posting comp, there'd be more activity in here. Someone make that happen.

Yeah, it's rather sad that the Geek forum has been so quiet lately. Are there no more geeks on this planet ?

On a side note though, i read that Dwayne Johnson will play the bad guy in Expendables 4!

Here I was thinking that would be an article from the crackpot David Wolfe.

Hey, in case anyone was wondering, being a moderator is actually quite the job. I'm one of only two on the Godot forums so far and as a result I have to try to read posts as they come in, and patrol every board. Thankfully, everyone on that forum is a decent user (so far), so I haven't had to lock any threads yet. But I don't look forward to the day that will happen, and it's not a matter of "if" sadly.

I do not have the power to delete threads, ban users or even put on post moderation. All I can do is lock and move topics to the admin board and contact the admins (of which there are about 6), who will be able to then ban users if they deem it the right thing to do. So, thankfully, that lifts quite a bit of responsibility off of me, but at the same time I'm almost positive that will change in the future because the amount of members is growing rapidly, meaning the likelihood of the admins being able to do such actions in a reasonable amount of time will go down.

That being said, it's nice to see people respect the status on the forums, but otherwise I am just another user.

And Cruz drops out of the race! Trump is now the certain nominee. Unfortunately, lots of polls are now showing that Trump could actually beat Clinton. This, unfortunately, makes the possibility of a Trump president very likely. *begins running*

Cruz to Victory? More like Cruz to Failure!

And Kasich dropped out too. That's a shame because he was the only republican candidate I thought could run a legitimately professional campaign.

So, now it comes down to pretty much Trump vs. Hillary, although now many republicans are threatening to vote for Hillary in November because they can't stand Trump. Sanders has said he will stay in the race no matter what, so it very likely will be a three-way election.

Well, nothing like a three-some to really screw over American politics

So, two weeks ago I was made a moderator over on the Godot forums. During that first week, there was not a single problem user.

This week, alone, we have had an influx of people who insist on causing trouble. Being one of only two moderators, I have had to deal with each and every one.

My favorite so far is this one guy who posted a topic about a tutorial he's going to write. It's blank. It literally just says something like "yeah there will be a tutorial here soon!".

And there's one guy who has a complete disregard for the rules, so that probably won't go down so well for him in the near future.

I have gotten a few downvotes because I've had to lock threads and tell people to follow the rules.

EDIT: Also, reading through post approvals is a right pain in the neck...

It does suck, but I do enjoy it for the most part. I don't like the feeling of "power" (all I can do is remind people of the rules and lock threads), though.

Post Approval is nice because it prevents a lot of stupid spam from being posted right away, but it can take a while to sift through it all. They really need more moderators over there.

My friend is a moderator over on Linus Tech Tips. He says, quote: "It sucks ass but I enjoy having power".

In other news, I'm working on a new model. I decided to try and give an MLP character a shot.

You don't really notice this until you try to draw one of these, but the height-to-length ratio of MLP ponies is ridiculous when compared to real horses. Furthermore, the legs are way too thick and especially the back legs don't make any sense. The knee joint is almost at the same position as the heel joint. And don't get me started on the head!

I decided to introduce more realistic horse bits and change it up a bit. I replaced those horrible legs with more realistic horse legs, and I replaced the head with a different style. I also made the body a little bit longer.

The ears are too long, which makes it look like a donkey. I'll probably shorten them.

Beh! Windows 10 is dead to me. Between sleeping randomly for no reason (not a screen saver, and it's set to never sleep automatically), randomly disconnecting applications like Skype from the internet, a task manager that quite occasionally stops responding when I start it at a critical time, horrible default media viewing applications, a file explorer whose sequential file access ordering is totally obscure and unpredictable, a slow and occasionally illogical or awkward interface, and a general lack of improvement over Windows 7... If I had a touchscreen, maybe I would stay with 10, but I think 7's quality is just so much better.

Interesting. I don't recall any of these happening to me.

I wasn't using defaults before, anyway. I did notice the photo viewer using interpolation at 100% zoom for some reason , but I just checked and it seems to have stopped doing that.

On the other hand, I just realized that I missed not one, not two, but three calls from my new employer about orientation. There are some lessons in life to be learned the hard way... They do seem to be fine with it now, thankfully.

That moment when you're going through old code and you come across something you know you've done on purpose just to mess with yourself at a later date. Possible I had done this when I was drunk, I think I did do some coding drunk when working on this project.

However, it was a dumb thing to do regardless and I've always tried to give variables sensible names, so I will have to go back in time and slap myself a year a go for doing this, on purpose or otherwise.
