Purely out of interest, here is my final game (the one that didn't post above for whatever reason).

Note that this is not an entry into the competition as I am now too late, and it is by no means finished

The newsletter is now out, with the contest results in it here. Congratulations to the winners, and thank you to everyone who took part in making this the success it was.

Would the top two prize winners please provide me with your TGC registered e-mail address so that I can organise the dispatch of prizes - if you don't want to post it here, just send me an e-mail using the link below.

Yes - congratulations! I enjoyed playing and judging the games, and thank Ric for honouring me with the task.

I agreed entirely with Ric's judgements, so it was a nice clean fight

Finally . Good job everybody, I felt the winners were well-chosen. Funny though, I never saw that snake game of Jammy's, I'll have to go play it...

Good job guys, very glad with 3rd place.

I'm surprised Sven didn't make the top 3, I thought he would make 1st place!

I also figured Sven would make top three, I wonder why he didn't?

Thanks again for another well run compo. I love to enter these and although I never had any holidays over xmas, I did find time to put in a better entry than I had first thought possable.

This is the first time i have been placed. Glad you liked my entry (santas snake). Think this must have been the hardest compo to judge, as every other compo I have seen had games which stood head and shoulders above the rest. This time only I could predict first place , gbark did an incredible job. Bongadoo`s skateboard entry was my girlfriends choice.

Do you know if the TGC voucher has an expiratory date ? - i was thinking of keeping it until DBP X10 came out.

Obviously a woman with exceptional taste

@DB Pro

Yea, I thought Sven's was the most original and could see he put a lot of work into it. Very surprised.

There's no way I'm doing anything 2D again. Making the collision system was a pain, so 3D for next Chrimbo I think

Thanks guys.
I really appreciate you thinking that. Though I personally don't mind I didn't make it to the top 3 .
I would like to read the critisism though. Does anyone know where I can find it, if there are any?

I don't think there is any con's and pro's for any but the three winners, it would be kinda nice to know though. I can pretty much guess one of the main reasons of mine was it wasn't fun

Unfortunately I wasn't able to give reviews of all the entries - there were just too many! The standard was much higher than I had expected, and as I mentioned in the newsletter article, it was clear that you guys put a lot of work into your entries, and in no way did that go unnoticed. I really enjoyed playing them and I hope you enjoyed making them too. The 'honourable mention' section included entries that were original, well executed and, quite honestly, made picking the winners extremely difficult. In the end though BV and I did agree on the top three. It's a shame that there were some great entries that didn't make the top three, but that really is a testament to the high standard of the entries.

I'd like to publically thank everyone who entered, Batvink for helping with the judging, David Gervais for providing the media and graphics for the newsletter, and The Game Creators for donating prizes. I hope we can do it again next year.

If a mod would like to unsticky this now, feel free.
