Hi guys last one for tonight I don't like it I might change it so that window sits in the will and remove the bottom frame...As always a beta test this one does require some feedback as to sticking with the normal one or the new version that sits near the middle.

I'm not sure what you mean about the versions, but I like this one. The only thing is that it's flush with the ceiling on the bottom, which means if you place it in some different ceilings, the transition is not great. (the patterns stop abruptly where they meet) If it were lowered slightly so there would be a frame around it maybe?

Best.

I wanna know the name of the bag of crap that stole your models.

They look awesome, really awesome WoI. I love it, the meshes certainly add a much-needed variety. Keep up the awesome work!

They look great! I really like that last one.

I'm not accusing you of anything here, but I thought redistributing stock meshes in any form was not allowed. Could someone enlighten me on this? It's obvious that what WoI's doing here is fine as mods have posted here without objections, but I'm just interested.

The windows do contain modified TGC meshes since the meshes are not in the correct angles that is needed I had to rotate and correct the meshes to the required angle that is needed.Sadly there is no other way that one can do it effectively without having to resort to editing
the FPS files which could lead to all kinds of problems of their own.

Since I do not supply meshes from model packs or from X10 only from the stock media which every one should have in the first place. Also the segments I supply doesn't not contain any textures. The mesh is useless in any case to some extent.

The new windows are great and would be sad if I have to remove them as it really adds a new look.

Mods say the word and they are gone.I'll send rick or lee a mail to check.

The windows are the only ones that I had to supply with modified meshes.

You'll be fine, you won't have to worry, it's just that the rule seemed to be that if you distribute ANY stock media in ANY form you'll get a whackin' from the mods, but that seems to have changed.

The rules with stock media certainly are a little strange, because you can just get a lot of the stock media from the trial version...

Hi guys

So here is the full compiled version 0.7 of the media upgrade.Still waiting for the reply from Rick I won't have much time to upload the new version next week so for the time being here it is.
Still no WWII media sadly still working on some ideas and refining meshes.

In order to use this version correctly all previous versions has to be removed in order to it for work correctly to make sure that all fixes are copied over correctly. So you can delete the Wizardofid's media upgrade folder in the segmentbank entitybank and meshbank.

You will notice this is a beta version due to the amount of media now involved the media has been tested with the little time I had.

So there might be one or two problems I missed.

Also note that the ceiling windows don't work in X10 and is likely to crash your editor.I'm still working on this problem as it's a multi textured/part segment.I might have to add a CSG weld option to weld the segments....

enjoy

Cieling window 1 crashed my editor, cieling window 2 has no windows in it, but other than that, it all works beautifully...

Is this in X10? As for missing windows on ceiling window 2 going up one level you will see them in the editor.

CG that is a weird error.I just checked the files that I uploaded all media required is there. As said before there are problems with X10.
X9 should be no problem at all.

Does any one else have ceiling_window_1 crashing the editor. If so what version of FPSC are you using or mod.

To make sure the media works I used only the official beta releases and updates the latest I'm using is 1.14

BTW here is a new pillar I'm working on.

Hi Guys

Thanks for the feedback. I should hear what the fate is regarding the windows tomorrow from Rick.

The good news however I have found a cheap and easy way to increase the current media triple fold as well as the new media I have added. This is easy and pretty much any one could do it. However it does have some legal issues attached I would have to ask Rick to get the approval before releasing this.

The new textured military wall planning on 3 different colors brownish, grayish and blackish tints other textures might support other tints still have to test all. The good news however you can now use the same segments in your level but differently colored.

enjoy

hi guys

I got a reply from Rick. The good news is that he has no problem with the windows or other meshes. So you can use it as you please in commercial or free games.

He also suggested that it be made available in the TGC store to the masses as a free add on to your media.

So we will see how it goes I still have another 500 plus meshes that I need to import,uv map and tweak.

I'm not sure how the TGC store thing will work I guess rick would upload or some one else

If you send them to Janet, she will upload them for you. Here's an email I received from her.

Quote: "A few store sellers have found the process of preparing and uploading media to the store confusing so we thought we would help out by providing a service were we will prepare some of the files and upload the items to the store.

If a seller wanted to upload music they would need to send their track in uncompressed wave format (.wav).
When we have this we will produce the sample track, thumbnail and zip file.

If a seller wants to upload an entity they would need to send the model file (.x format) and the texture file (.dds format).
When we have these we will produce the previews, thumbnail and zip file.

We would also need the sellers login details for the store and a price and description for the music or entity. Once everything is done we will upload the item to the store.

Any files will need to be sent to janet@thegamecreators.com"

Still waiting for the reply from Rick should have info Monday/Tuesday
as to the next step. You have to remember it is free media.

I'm currently working on getting the next release ready have made some
higher polygon curved walls with railings the next step would be ceilings and floors to fit the theme.

Enjoy

Will be uploading some screenies of the ceilings and floors later for your viewing pleasure.
