Really looking forward to some upgrade of the tired, old WW2 media. Publishing the Sci Fi upgrade now. Thanks again.

Hey nice work, altough i cant figure out how to install it. I use the installer but all i get is a bunch of files. Are we supposed to manually put them where they belong or is the installer supposed to?

@Cyclone

There was a problem with the installer I used and uploaded the compressed archive instead it has to be copied over manually.

wizard of id: I think I see a lot of polygons "popping" out of that wall. I may be looking at it wrongly but to me it looks a bit broken.

How many polygons is this compared to most stock media segments?

Thanks

Currently here are some of the stuff that I have planned some of the stuff have been completed...

Wooden hedge/fence
Broken Wall/house segments
Wooden Cart
Grave Yard Segments
Wooden span bridge
Metal bridge
Stone bridge
Grass bale
sand bags

That is just some of the stuff I have planned another little project that I have going which will take some time is of course WWII sub and ship segments(doesn't form part of the free pack) and some thing I have being playing around with for a few months now is terrain segments.

As I mostly plan to base the project on outdoors game design. The only 2 options I have with regards to terrains are a single mesh terrain which it don't like the other option than I'm currently working on is 100 + segment terrain which you will be able to load
as a prefab and build your game on that the nice thing about doing a terrain as a segment is less likely to have collision detection
problems and have coloured areas on the prefab which are red and are level with the specific floor level.

So you will be able to build your rooms house or whatever on these flat areas red squares that have not been used can then be simply replaced with with a normal floor segment of your choice.

WWII modeling is very hard to model for and requires a lot of research and effort to get the right look.So this will be a long time consuming project.

I'm looking at releasing the first update within 2 or so weeks as I have said before there isn't a lot of media to work with I am also trying to get media compatible with x10 as well...

Look good, however, you should apply smoothing groups in your modelling program to remove the boxiness.

yeah smoothing tends to add a few more polys which I don't want to do I'll rather add shaders to give a stonier look.

I'm going to work on a higher poly wall some time in the future.

Kitty, it by no means makes him an idiot for giving these away for free, it just means that he is a very considerate and kind person who has spent hours making this stuff just for us.

Kind and considerate it's been awhile since I have been called that thanks I'm usually cutthroat and straight to the point...

But yeah I love making stuff and I still have a day job and as long as I have that I'll make free stuff and test the limits of what can be realistically with FPSC...

Looks pretty cool! Will there be old-fashioned railings that we can add along the top?

Awesome bridge too.
