Errant, thank you for the c&c. I'm glad you liked the game, and still had fun with it dispite the minor bugs that were present. Hockeykid and myself rushed to meet the deadline for this compitition. After creating three other entries with seperate storylines and level layouts, all of which had to be canceled because their scripts would not work together due to conflictions with either the stock engine or Ply's mod, we were able to create '12 Hours', from start to finish, in less than a day (hence the title ).

We are in fact, planning to continue development of this game now that the contest is over and we no longer have to rush.

Okay, I've just completed the scoring sheets and have sent out an email to all the judges that haven't dropped.

When judging is finished, I'll announce the placings as well as send each of the entrants the scoring sheets from the judges so that they can see what each of them thought of the game.

There's a little something that many people refer to as "time management" and/or "multitasking". I suggest you learn it. I already said that I don't care if you have exams or not. But judging by how you assumed the contest was still going, I can only surmise that you cannot read or "lack the time to read due to finals".

I love the atmosphere and media in this one,the textures are nice all around, I think the enemies could have had a bit more to them, all black with white eyes is a little boring. I hate the concept of buying my way through barriers I could easily break down with the axe, and the buying in general just feels like cheap game lengthener. I got pushed off the map about 5 times, and I really wish it was bigger. All in all, great work on the environment, but I really feel like you didn't try and make the game play unique, it felt like a flash game more than a first person shooter.

I really liked the first level,the reliance on stock media in the second level was dissapointing. I really feel like you should have had some sort of story at work, I just can't stand walking around blasting people without any reason. The fish eye kind of effect when the player was near death was nice, but in general there just wasn't enough to this game.

I liked this one a lot, the game flowed pretty well, platforming worked well, and the media was well utilized. A solid scifi game, but again, some unique features would have been nice. The creatures also brought on some lag for me.

Okay, I have not heard any word from the last judge, but the ones that have not put in their results have informed me that they would not be able to, so we shall continue on.

Btw, I feel that the judges (including myself) were being extremely lenient on the contestants here.
Everyone seemed to have done the bare minimum. 2 levels, an extra game mechanic or two, and some custom entities.
If even one person had put in an entry that went above the minimum, these scores would have been much much lower, IMO.
