What about the MP5N?"

Yes and yes. The G22 can probably be released now but the MP5 is only about as far as what you have with the difference being that I changed the rear sight differently (rotated it around to the open position) and it has an updated texture which reads a bit better than the original The reload animation needs to be changed to suit the MP5 configuration but it won't be wasted effort as I have three or four variants in progress (mostly different forearms (standard, sure-fire, SD, etc). M4A1 and AK updates are on deck as well.

Uploaded to GCS and awaiting approval...

G22 and G22SD Special Editions
Updated versions of the G22 from MP10 includes AirMod and Ply's Mod compatibility upgrades, updated textures, animations, sounds and entities.

G22SE/G22SDSE video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3wGr9M0C7kA

Now running on the P226 animation set.

@Toasty Fresh... Not to be a jerk or anything but would you mind hiding the hotlinked images or posting thumbnails. Apollo lags for me when showing attached images like that (to the point where they time out and just show red x or half an image sometimes). Awesome to see some Ply's Mod action, BTW!

RANDOM NEWS:

THIS NEW VIDEO shows most of the older melee weapons which I uploaded to the game creators store but never had video showing the animations. This video shows them as they come when purchased. If you are using an AirMod compatable FPSC mod, you should download the gunspec updates for these from the AirMod website. The new gunspecs will give some recoil effect and gun lag/ lazy gun movement. These v1 weapons are NOT compatable with the Ply's Mod asymetric dual wielding system but I may be updating some or all of them to be compatable with that at a later date. When the weapons are updated, the GCS files will be replaced so that users can update directly from the GCS app.

Shown are:

Machete
Baseball Bat
Cricket Bat
Telescoping Baton
Butterfly Knife
Combat Knife
Butcher Knife
Chef Knife
Femur

I can't wait to see what you come up with next! Any previews as to what you're working on?

Sure thing, edited.

I must say that I love the new texture for the Glock.

I think I'll attempt to make a video of my MP5N edits. I've made a few now. I've added stuff like the torches from the pistols, scopes, etc. They really look and feel quite cool.

Eai, you are one of the best modelers. I love your guns (i'm not too interseted in the melee ones, but they are excellently done). but now i need to ask why you havent made a uzi and famas? if you made Them i would definitely buy them. but errant, thanks for the awesome guns. I hope they put a valued member thingie by your name soon

Awesome! Can't wait to see that

Working on a couple things but I won't be showing W.I.P. in this thread.

I'd like to do an uzi (not sure wich size) and I keep saying I'll get around to bullpups someday...

Quote: "I hope they put a valued member thingie by your name soon"

I hope not! I'm hardly a valued member. TCP really deserved it because of the vast amounts of quality stuff he has given away and possibly equal amount of stuff he has purchased. I think of people like xplosys or Airslide when I think "valued member". My presence here is like 62% mercenary

Yep- still have it. Did some preliminary rigging of the M11 and VZ61 this morning. I found a good workaround for the full-auto sound cut-off bug which has given me a little motivational boost.

Your kind words are worth much more than any avatar, and your contributions are worth much more than you realize. Thank you.

I don't know why, but I like using your crowbar, axe, pipe wrench, etc, better than your guns for killing. What does that mean?

Best.

Universal Character Melee Script now available!
Cool new script written by Pride uses the stock throwing animation so characters can now wail on you with bare fists or melee weapons. You'll need to make sure the gunspec is set to weapontype = 0 for it to work with weapons. Most of my melee weapons are already set for this except for some of the early series 1 melee weapons like those in the EAI v1 Melee video.

Check out his thread on the script board: Universal Character Melee Script

Thanks, Pride

Happy you like it!

Hopefully I can sart playing around with that in a week or so.

Meh- I don't even own a Wii. Even though AC was the only game I ever bought for GC. I'm way behind on the console upgrading these days. I stopped playing AC after one of my townies defected and took her collection of dirty letters with her and started showing them off to people! I figured I should stop playing before I ended up being responsible for corrupting some child's mind

Quote: "What does that mean?"

It means Lee needs to rethink his poo-pooing melee It would be great if there were some generic melee characters to brawl with but I think Pride's script will nicely help fill the void for now.

Quote: "The fame will go to my head "

I was going to mention a couple others but their heads are already big enough!

Quote: "I already have airmodded glocks, but whatever. I'll buy 'em anyway. "

LOL thanks! Remember you can do the same as with the M9 and save a couple bucks.

Randomness: I screwed up both my copies of FPSC trying to upgrade from 1.07 to 1.09. So, I've wasted the last day getting that sorted out but it looks like things are ok again. More or less.

Why 1.09, dont you want Ply's Mod?

In AC the animals will not go to other peoples towns unless you travel directly to their town, and unless you invited little children into your house, I wouldnt be too worried =p CF is different, because some people just post codes up on a forum and meet random people.

It won't be released in a pack, you have to buy them seperately in the GCS.

1.09 works fine with mods but when testing in stock it's better than 1.07 because it has widescreen support and a couple of other things.

Comming very soon (just need to finish video and upload files to GCS)...

Hunting/Sniper Bolt-Action Rifle!
Three texture versions available: Clean/Safe-Queen, Abused and Synthetic/Quasi-Tactical.

It's a .300 magnum based on the Remington Model 700 (long-action) rifle. Will default to normal zooming (variable) scope but, if using an AirMod compatable mod, the designer can change to fixed-zoom 3D scope with about three keystrokes in the gunspec. I've even moved the pertinent settings to the top of the file with explicit comments on what to do. The 3D scope is really cool because it lags a little when looking around and has animation when moving and shooting.

Thanks for all the great comments
I'm psyched about these releases because I had yet to release something with the same game-play and I know it's something which has been missing.

Haven't been posting because I've been working. The M700 woodies are up now. The synthetic stock version should be available tomorrow. It got held back because I forgot to include the gamecore files when I uploaded it.

Coming very soon (just need to make a vid and upload)...

M40A3 (Green and Desert Paint versions)
This is the sniper rifle of the USMC. It is a little less powerful than the hunting rifle but it holds one more cartridge.

I want to give a quick shout-out of thanks to Opposing Force and Heltor for the tips/reference they passed on to me for making the bolt action animations. Thanks guys!

This will conclude the production of bolt-action sniper rifles for now. Later on I might come back and do a magazine-fed version. Maybe in an Accuracy Intl. stock or something. If I do that it will probably use a Mauser-style bolt.

These are incredible as always. These look like they came right out of a proffesional Game Designer Company like Valve or Epic.

Thanks BVG. Boredom and generally low expectations of myself, I suppose. That and the community has grown on me after nearly three years!

It's nice though because I can actually take my time and put a lot of love into the work I do for FPSC. Working in pro development it's all about cutting corners to make milestone deliveries while crying inside because you know something looks like crap but you won't be able to have the time to do it right. I do have to admit though that Unity 2.5 has caught my eye because it could potentially allow me to easily showcase work on the web. Maybe it's too complicated for me though.

Oh.. replying to emails now.
