@ The Fps Creator rocks!

Do muzzleflashes from other weapons illuminate the walls? If not, the LED light will not work.

FPSC version, shaders, ambient light settings and I think also PC hardware can all affect if it will work or not. I have not tried it in 1.15. Has anyone else had the same problem?

I gave it a test in V1.15. I turned off shader effects and dynamic lighting under preferences, and it didn't work (obviously). I enabled dynamic lighting, and it worked fine, as I thought it would (no need for shader effects).

@The Fps Creator rocks!, make sure dynamic lighting is turned on under the preferences tab and it should work fine for you.

No one didnĀ“t even care about my post!

But i have asked this:
I own your both modelpacks, and you have updated some of the guns.
So, is it possible, that i could get even one of the updates for free.. I want them all, yes. But i really love the (AWWW, dont remember guns name!!) but still, the "big" pistol, with the scope.
I love it, but wiuld be cool, if i could have it without scope.

To remove the scope on the XiX Desert Eagle, replace the HUD.x with the alternative HUD.x found in gamecore\guns\modelpackwhatever\xix folder

Thanks Kravenwolf!

@ REllU

It's easy to miss posts in these large threads. A couple of the updated weapons are available on the Airmod website including the XIX. The updated version does not have the scope.

EDIT TO ADD:

OLD CHAINSAW UPLOADED TO GCS AND AWAITING APPROVAL

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZCZg1Row-xc

A strange, old chainsaw which never seems to need fuel but does consume a large quantity of spare parts in order to remain functioning. (this is because there's no way to stop the engine noise or vibration animation when out of "ammo" other than using "weaponisammo", which I hate- though it is an option if you prefer)

There are alternate idle and move animation included which do not include the engine vibration for developers who either don't like the shaking, want to script the vibration independently or who can code the chainsaw to run out of fuel.

Tip: The "ammo" entity is sort of high poly (around 600 tris) so don't go placing a bunch of them around your level. Instead, be creative and use random toolboxes or other tools/junk items and script them to give ammo to the player; you'll likely get better performance and it will make more sense to the player.

BIG THANKS TO BOND1 AND NICKYDUDE
For allowing me to butcher their sounds. The release version sounds a little better than in the vid but there's only so much I can achieve in FPSC. In stock FPSC the idle sound, etc will play but isn't as smooth and there is a noticeable seam after "shooting" because of the fire sound getting clipped. There is also an additional revving "layer" at the start of an attack which only mod users will hear.

Also, thanks to Seth Black, Wazoo117 and others who lent technical advice in my chainsaw thread.

I won't be releasing any color variations for this one, so I encourage sharing of re-textures and texture modifications for this weapon.

It's taken almost 5 days to approve, and they're finally here. Fantastic work Jake, I'll be downloading the chainsaw ASAP and add that to the list of weapons which will be introduced to Torn later in the series. So there isn't any demand for .max files for that just yet, maybe in a year or so.

I repeat, fantastic work.

Got all of your new weapons, Jake, awesome stuff. They look fantastic with CoZ's old shader, especially with the VZ61. Although it's proving harder than I thought to change the ironsight anims for the SMGs, without the .max files anyway. It doesn't bother me for now though.

Now that sounds just awesome

Thanks kind comments, all. Sales have been strong so far with these three so I'm glad I took the time to finish them up. So far the Vz61 is the most popular of the three. Thanks again!

Good going. Those have got to be the wildest texture mods I've ever seen. Looks like something from that Romeo and Juliet movie (the wierd modernized one)- in a good way.

Not until it's 2010. THEN we let it die.

I don't mind the bump

Free LED pack will be removed after New Years, so if anyone hasn't nabbed it already, the window is closing.

Might have another trick up my sleeve before the year is out.

Until then, people can wish me a happy birthday (12/28) by buying some of my crap
