What about High Dynamic Range? Is that a possible feature for Wizmod?

Hmmm. We shall not. I think that myself and wizkid will bypass this memory sucker. Sorry, but we are trying to balance performance out too. Maybe in the future, but for now, no.

Ah well. It will still be a great mod none-the-less.

P.S. would you guys go as far as to say that bolth EFX and Ply's mods were somewhat of an "inspiration" for Wizmod?

The beta is really old and outdated, it has improved leaps and bounds since then. We have the option of an ingame menu, which is coming along nicely which will allow you to change some settings such as dynamic on/off during the test game etc...

We also have underwater effects, splashing noises, refraction and reflection, and much, much more

It is so much better now, take a look here for some more of the features:

well HDR is not a simpel Bloom effect and needs a lot of performance (especialy in DBP) and there is no HDR shader available for DBP, so its a no to this feature.

We will implement a lot of new stuff for you guys...*have I also said we in this forum**bad goblin again* ^^

Because that beta is very very old, and has a billion problems. the new beta, will act like its running at an fps of 40 when its really running at an fps of 200 or more.

We are not planning on publically putting out a new beta. They are for beta testers only. We are working on a tech demo to show off the great features right now.

Stay Tuned.

Yes but i mean, really start refining it and tidying it up so it is ready for release. In other words, soon we will stop adding new things and start making sure what we have works and prepare it for release... after that we can resume adding features to it

Anyway, i will see you all in just over a weeks time, bye!

Still adding stuff ? Something tells me this will be just as good as efx.

Oh btw , Apple slicer , I fixed that speed bug. I just pressed V and it resynced the game . Just got to find out how to sort some other problems and I will all set to go !

Also , 1 question again

If I replaced the waves.dds with something differnt , would it change the way the water works ?

I don't know if this has been mentioned before, but I think it would be absolutely EPIC if you could get dynamic entities and explosives in multiplayer..... Also a beef-up of multiplayer would be awesome.... Just a thought....

We have discussed multiplayer, and fixing it up, but chances are, it will be a while. But, that doesnt mean that it wont happen.

Its coming along great. There is much to be done, but its getting there.

There are many surprises in store.

Wizkid, recently, before leaving, has added TONS of new script commands.

Thats good to hear. Now Wizzkid mentioned something about an "ingame menu" for adjusting effects. Did he mean something like ingame menu in EFX Mod?

Actually Yes.

There are two things we now have. (Or plan to have)

In built games, users can change the texture size, dynamic lighting, and other goodies without a program like game starter!

And, ingame sliders. We arent sure on this yet...

EXCELLENT!!!!!!!!! This mod is well on it's way to becoming as great as EFX! Perhaps even better (No offence Nighthawk, Dark Goblin, rest of EFX Team...) !?

P.S.- Ingame Sliders?

Okay no need to beta test an old version, must things you'll find could have been fixed days ago. BTW Apple when you get on IM i have to send you a fixed version of that notepad thing i sent you. I made a spelling error that can really mess up the thing you sketched out.

So here is my first addon for Wizmod.

Water Blocks
Now you are able to add as many Water Blocks (Triggerzones) as you want.
I tested them with 10 In Game without any big Framedrop but I need to ReWrite the Sync Command to get it fully working.

Looking good there goblin. Something the mod needed for a while, better than only having one water plane in the whole level
