As you may have noticed there is a Money Hud, the whole money commands will be revealed to the beta testers in the help file, but you dont have to use this for money, you can also use it for points aswell, and can make it so you get points or money for killing an enemy, and can use them to buy/upgrade things

I think you will like it.

Do you mind including a demo to us beta testers using the points system with the option to buy a gun when you get enough or something? So we can see how it would work?

Thanks Tanya. It is not for sale yet, we are aiming for sometime in July for a price of £5/$8, so around the price of the cheaper model packs

Next I will be adding and air system, similar to the points/money system but it will allow the player to hold his breath underwater for a certain length of time.

@Cyclone - yeah sure, i will include a demo, also Apple slicer is making me a new air hud so hopefully I will also have a working breathing system, using only the current commands

Hey I have a question for ya Wizzkid, Do you think it would be at all possible to connect the "Screen Shake" script to the Shift key? So like when you sprint it will make the screen shake like in Gears of War 2 or like Call of Duty. If not, its totally fine. I was just wondering.

This Mod is amazing by the way. Im really impressed with the FPS of the maps after implementing all those new scripts. Very impressive! Great job man, keep up all the good work. Ill definantly be purchasing the full version.

This mod has had the SHIFT key reversed. It is actually slow walk now. In addition, There was problems with having the blur connected to the keys, but if you know how to script a bit, it might be possible to do in the future.

Not nearly as cool as plys bloom and such, but its the best i can do.

Notice how the illumination makes it hard to see past...

What do you think Wizkid? Havent told you about...my stuff yet.

EDIT: Hockeykid made the script, and I got one of the scifi huds done. I will email you tomorrow. its late here now.

Sent you an email with a new feature for the mod to be added in .

Would I be able to post the news in the announcements section on the WizMod forums if you decide you add it in?

I tried the Demos Wizzkid and there is something i need to say:

Pls update the water a little bit more because it looks like it is laggy. If I rotate the camera, the water updates like one second later and the Reflection/Refraction is wrong.

Than the "Motion Blur" is nothing like Motion Blur for me. Its a static blur and nothing more. So you need to create a motion Blur or say its a static one.

Than I was not able to jump on the Platform in the "Escape the Water" Demo, do not know why.

For now thats all

@Shaka- Like Appleslicer said the shift key has been reversed but I would think that effect could be achieved through scripting

@Appleslicer - Nice!! I am eager to see your stuff

@Kerrby - Go ahead, I will let you do the announcing, after all it was you who got it for us We will definitely try and add it to Wizmod, thanks.

@DG - Thanks for the feedback. The Water will be updated more times, I had changed it to update more times, but then re-wrote the mod partially and forgot to add it again

Motion Blur, im thinking of changing it to just "Blur", I have been looking into it and the only way I think I can manage to pull of motion blur is with a shader and I dont want to use a shader because of the effects on performance.

I am unsure why you couldnt jump in the Escape the Water demo??? It has been working fine for me, I tested it again there now and it works fine, that is really odd? Anyone else having this problem?

Thanks everyone!

I have to agree with DG... and the other thing that I'd like to now - Why are you hardcoding the Money / Air System, even if it's already possible with the "standard" commands (except for the water conditions)?

However, if you're fixing the waterbugs... then it's a pretty useable modification, so, keep it up (altough... the fps isn't that good... the same as efxMod on my system... still just 13/17 FPS with activated water or Blur).

Hmm an fps that low is odd, on my computer the lowest I get is 38 fps with water, usually more, and 85- 100fps in a level without water (my specs are posted in a previous post) on a fairly average computer?

We are adding more scripting commands to deal with the money system to make it much easier for the scripter, not because it wasnt possible before.

Most of the air system isnt being hard coded, most of it uses standard fpsc scripting commands, we are using some water conditions and a new air timer so the scripter can use a normal fpsc timer and still use the air hud at the same time.

I am working on the water, so hopefully it will get better.

Thanks for the suggestions

Beta Testers you should receive the next beta sometime within the next 24 hours, I have added most testers names to the bottom of the help file, but because Appleslicer is in control of distributing betas I dont have a list of beta testers so if your name is not included in the credits please let me know and I will add you to it

Sorry FPS Creator Rocks, the list of testers is the length of your arm lol

But dont worry, we have planned quite a few new demos and other things for you all to try out, and the full version shouldnt be too long now. Im not going to rush it but we plan for release in early july. I have finished school now so I will have a lot more free time on my hands to work on it.

Hey guys, just an update here. Wizkid managed to get a bunch of new decal commands in, so decals are much better, and there is more use in them.

In addition, as you saw by my two pictures in the last page, I have been working on Lens Flare, and Lens Glare, and most recently, a great fps friendly bloom.

I will get more screens up later for you all to look at.

Oh I know, he is keeping me in suspense as well, he wont show me yet

No but I have seen some of what apple has done, he sent me a level which has the lens flare that will come with WizMod and also the air hud put in use, it is really good!

Thanks for the nice comments Cyclone and everyone else, the reason we put so much effort and patience in is because we are so encouraged by the feedback from all the forum members, so thank you all for your support, it is much appreciated

Okay, sorry for the double post...again

Here is the rough draft (kinda), of my water jets\fountain.

The quality is horrific I know, had a lot of apps running in the background, and couldnt make a fancy scene.:

EDIT: I just noticed, the water jets in the pic look like those ugly decals. They arent. I will try to get a better pic later.

EDIT2: I will try to make a more elaborate scene for the waterfall. (My better one, and favorite.)

on the first view I thought this are decals... but if you say they are not, maybe you really need to show in another screen!

but if they are decals or not, it looks not that bad, but the water reflection is... kinda strange!

Yeah, what happened was the framerate was only at 2!

So it kinda ruined the reflection of the water.

I have a lot of projects open at the minute, maybe I will try again later.
