They are seperate models of hands, legs and torso pieces.
They will then be thrown in the correct direction when the enemy is killed.
The pieces will be so bloody it'll be impossible to tell that they aren't from the same model as the character

what would be the visual difference of using a spotlight of piontlight for the flashlight?

for the gore thing, wont you be able to tell its not from the enemy because the enemy will still have its arm ? Spotlight: Cone of light
Point Light: Like a standard FPSC light following you.

Oooh.. I agree totally with John need a new name, about the gore things. It would be so cool. Is it possible you could do that in this mod? Or is it too hard?

My blood pack will have 500 blood overlays some day! I hope...

For the gore I'll be making the body bits when the character is killed by an explosive weapon like a grenade or bazooka.
It'll then spawn the body bits and blood etc..

Sounds like what you get when you hit a dead enemy with the crowbar in the first Half-Life. This mod sounds awesome but we need some vids!!! Will this be fully compatible for use in FPSC IP? Also, this would be great with Ply's mod/Airmod.

For the gore:

I recently downloaded the "101 sTools"pack for Garrys Mod, and included was some weird thing which deformed the "stock" characters, so if I put an explosive under the character both leg disapears but the model is still "closed", its hard to explain but if that was possible here it would be perfect.


And please e-mail me when the stats for multiplayer is done, even before this is unreleased.
I am not making a mod for selling as a mod, its for a game. Just so you know

(for the gore i suggest that a shotgun does the same as the explosion thing lol (my game wont have explosion weapons )

cant wait to see,

-so far, the best part of the mod seems to be the blood idea and particles , because that is amazing, second is rain and flashlight , i can imagine shooting an enemy with a shotgun and seeing him splatter everwhere and with particles amazing blood is possible!!
combined with ragdoll for the other weapons this could be amazing!

(still begging for that aimer tracker thing though, no horror game is complete without enemies that pop out of plain site when your not looking)

one question though...if you look at the ground in the rain zone...will it look like rain is falling parrellel to the ground...??

I think that the migration must have all the mods in it, and center in multiplayer feature a lot too, why everyones prefer singleplayer to multiplayer?

Pardon me if I missed this, but:

When the bits of gore (legs, etc) are thrown around, do the character models lose their actual legs as well? Otherwise, it's looking good. Can't wait for the video!

Yes because it's not drawing it onto the camera screen as 2d rain, it's 3d rain that is set by setting the rain block (x, y, width, length, roof, floor etc..) then as you walk through it, it shows you the parts that are within the range of the player(range can be chnged as well.)
So when you look up the rain falls down onto you and when you look down the rain falls past you onto the floor.

Extra blood is created when the characters are shot(might attach blood to the character model where he was shot) and the main gore with body bits is when he gets killed with an explosive weapon or a shotgun.

I'll be releasing a free version which has some features disabled and has a splash screen, then you can get the other feature and the splash screen removed by buying it for X amount.

I've haven't decided how much yet though, depends if my terrain works

What do you mean by bind it to a key?
You can make a point light and then make it follow the player.

well regarding the point light-- I am pretty new to FPSC i got it a few months ago and im still finding alot of things out-- but i dont know how to create a point light-- now binding it to a key-- like you set a key to turn the pointlight on and off

and if you actually create games other than create awesome mods-- i can give you some music-- i am the Director Of Armageddon Software-- (only Team member so far) i have 6 games i am working on -- 4 Arena's 2 completed and i Produce and mix my own sounds-- charactor voices and im saying if you need anything like that let me knwo ill hook you up man

You just make a light using a script(I'll be releasing scripts that do this) and then you can alter the script to check for the keypress and turn the light on and off.

How do we know this mod even exists? All we've seen so far are a list of features and a dodgy screenshot which could have been easily made in photoshop. Surely if you spent a lot of time and effort on these features:

Snow
Rain
Moveable Lights
Point Lights
Spot Lights
COD Style Auto-Heal
Tired Run

you would be more than eager to show us a few screenshots of the new features, especially if they are completed, or at least have 3 or 4 ready to show us. I'm not saying this isn't real, but until i see more evidence, rather than excuses as to why you can't post more pictures or videos, I'm going to choose to not get my hopes up over this.

Hi guys, just letting you know that I'm currently talking with S4Real about integrating my mod with Project Blue UM.
It's probable that some features, if not all, will be integrated

@marc steene: OMG man! Just lay off, I'm working hard to make the mod and that's why I've not had time to do the screenies, which would you rather have? A mod or some screenies of a mod that never got finished bcause I was too busy taking screenies?

25MB? Is extra stuff included, or is that just the EXE? If so, you need to go to your DBPro Directory->Compiler->Setup.ini and set RemoveSafteyCode to Yes and UseSafeArrays to No. That is how FPSC is normally compiled and produces faster, smaller EXEs.

@djmaster: I think AE was just trying to point out that alot of the stated effects could be produced simply by some scripting, because I myself have a script that that the simulate dynamic light movement. So lets all calm down
