Testing the flash light demo now, I'll be happy if it shows objects shadow's and all instead of a fake hud one...

Very happy, More than happy! Wait, no, scrap that, I'll kill myself just to look at it in action... Wait, no, thats over exaggerating...

Will edit soon.

EDIT:

Pretty good I guess, instead of a directional line its just a omni light which seems a little poor, but other than that, it's good!

I've built it with default FPSC settings which I think is soft lightmaps and no shader effects etc.

Do I need to compile it with full shader and full lightmap?

Hi guys, just letting you know that I've now added the Animated Screen Blocks, I'll be uploading it tomorrow once I've made a nice demo

It supports all video formats that FPS Creator supports so you don't need to convert your videos

I've uploaded a basic screenie of 2 blocks in action; please remember it's a jpg so it's lost some quality.

Hey, I just played the flashlight test. And it rocked with... gore! And it was scary. BTW the flashlight was great.

Hi guys, here's my screen block demo, you can change the transparency of the blocks and move them around. You can also use them for tv screens and computer screens etc..

Also if you set the transparency to around 30% and then put a video of an enemy you can make holograms of an enemy that u can move around to trick the player

i get an "Can not load animation" error.

Yep that's an error if you don't have QuickTime installed, I forgot to convert the video to wmv before sending it out
I'm converting it now, it'll be ready in about 10 mins

Awesome

One bug, if you press escape and exit the game, the audio still plays and if you click new game (after you quit a previous game) it causes an error, the video doesnt seem to be deleted when exited.

But great! Well done

Framerate is really slow. Is this the cost of using animated textures? Also, would we be able to apply animated textures to animated or moveable objects. For example, have a rotating 3d globe with an animated globe texture applied.

It shouldn't make it run that slow
Everyone who's tested it so far(who I've talked to) has had max FPS(38).
The video is displayed on a screen block which can be resized and rotated and I'm adding in screen blocks in the following shapes:

Box
Sphere
Cone
Cylinder
Flat
Pyramid

Also it runs a video as a texture, I don't think it'll work with gif etc.., but it might

Yes and no, I'm releasing a free version but it will have a splash screen and some features disabled.
I'll also be releasing a pay version which will probably be $5-10.

The multiplayer ranking system will not be in the free version.
Also xrMod is currently being integrated with Project Blue UM and it's being merged with WizMod (see first post).

Yey... With the level system how free will it be?

As in can you set the max level and have custom classes? Can you change the guns unlocked on each level and will multiple levels be available to run through one EXE? In other words will it be possible for us to customise our own version of COD4/COD5 Level system?


Also will abilitys be possible? Else i might have a go at creating some abilitys for myself when this mod comes out...

You've confused me, the level system isn't in the free version.

Wow I'm loving the video textures...you could do SO much with that. Hmm...video skyboxes? You could simulate Time of Day, also have slowly moving clouds with HD appearance.

Health regenerates way too quickly. You should set it so there is n amount of time in which the player must remain undamaged before health starts regenerating. ie: Enemy shoots player with minigun at high rate of fire. Player health goes down to 20. Player gets behind cover and stops taking damage. n second delay. Health starts regenerating. Also, you should let the user specify the regen delay.

You can do that Pus In Boots.Every feature is customizable.Ive set health regenerating when health under 30,regenerates for 2 every 5 seconds.

FPSC IP is my program that gives the player more multiplayer features such as lobby, chat, multi-levels(up to 1000), connection speed checking, frag/time-limit changing and more...

I'm hoping to have it so you can setup which start point the player starts at and what guns he can have and what guns he can pickup during the game.

Hopefully it'll be something like this:
Level 1+: Start Point 1, Grenades, Handgun (Cannot pick-up any guns around level that are higher than level 4. [Possibly remove them from his version of the game so he can't see them?])
Level 5+: Start Point 2, Machine-Gun, Sniper Rifle, Level 1 Weapons
etc...

You'll hopefully also be able to change the levels.

Project Blue will not be integrated into any Mod. Other Mods are integrated into Project Blue. That's it's purpose. To be a collection of powerful Mods and features.
