Notes: Take up this sword and smite the darkness! Or something heroic in that nature...

I think tonight I'll redo some of the textures on some of the models for the heck of it.

I'm trying! This is one of those models I don't want to rush and do a good job building. So all I can ask is a little patience on the gobby model.

Azunaki:
I fixed the runes so they don't look so weird.

They don't look awefully rune like...they're more like the scribblings of a ninth-grade geometry student. Then again, goblins are simple people

BMacZero:
This isn't for the gobby model..but anyway how do they not look like runes?

Check out this link of Viking's runes..they don't have to be so complicated:
http://www.crystalcavern.com/en-us/rune_stone_meanings.html

Though, nothing is stopping anyone form re-textureing any of the models I post.

Edit: Lol! Just read your edit BMacZero...ninth-graders now are properly 10x smarter then Vikings ever were!

BTW you should put this on the sword

They all look good, but I think you're overdoing the normal maps just quite a bit, things are starting to sort of appear as plastic.

Alucard:
I'm doing that on purpose. You can set it up anyway you want in-game. Like I stated before, I provide the texture and normal map, the rest of it is up to you. I'm just trying to show the detail with extreme normals and lighting.

Dragon:
Yah, these are more 'realistic' vikings runes.

Day behind, but no worries, I'm going to get two models done today. These are a part of a set of models. I used to play this game on my cell phone where you built a city building by building, stacking sections of the building while they swung overhead. Like tetris with one block type and physics.

Hello. I downloaded the guitar, and I was testing it... although all I get is a tiny guitar model! *laughs*
How can I turn it to the normal size? I see that the objects don't come with the fpe... I made one in MakeEntities.exe(from FPS Creator)

Unfortunately I never tested these models with FPSC. From what I read somewhere, I'd have to scale the model 100x for it to be normal size. If you want, I can do that for any models for yah, just let me know.

All these models are presented in X format to be used with any DBP app, or your own DX engine. I can also post many other formats if people request it. Once I get FPSC working properly, I might make compatible files for the FPSC users.

That will give you a lot of work, no? If not, I really would like to use them (if you permit =) )
I loved the guitar, and there are some more cool objects in your collection. I thought that I could resize them in fpe file (fps creator file for entities), but not sure about it...

Thank you! =) Good luck with your project

I they're too small you can just change the "scale" value in the FPE file, for example if they needed to be 100x bigger set the scale to 10000.

Still a day behind, but no worries, I'll get caught up!

If anyone wants a higher res version of the texture, I'll post it for yah. I scaled it down to keep the file size considerably low.

Not sure how to fix that. I have no control over mediafire. If you name a model you want I can upload it directly to the DBP site. We can try it that way.

Josh I love your models. I wish i had the time ( or skills ) to make a model every day! It took me a week to make a simple skeloten. If you had any help ( website, forum, etc... ) that helped with the texturing part of the modeling could you post a link here?

I've been writing tutorials for just the occasion...though I recommend just studying models and maps in general. That's how I learned. Tutorials can tell you the mechanics, what they can't teach you is technique and design.

Like I said one thousand times, patience. I'm still working on the goblin model, which I'm trying to make half decent. But what you have to understand is that I have a full time job and a family, I only have a few hours a day to work on something. Most of the time I have to make a decision whether to work on one model or start a new model to finish today to post...if I don't have time to do both, then I don't touch the goblin model. Hope this makes sense, I'm not going to explain it again. :p

On top of that I've been working long shifts this week and I've yet to have a day off. I've been coming home and passing out from exhaustion. So please for now on, stop asking about projects I've started and yet to finish.

Third Edit:
Also something to consider, this isn't my only project I'm working on. I have another main project I've been working on for a month now which I plan on unveiling soon. Then I have my Kuuhakuu Kyuushuu 2 game that I'm still polishing up. You may say that I'm trying to do too much at once but I need to learn to time manage and I'm slowly improving on that.

clb, you don't have to take it as offensive

there are 40 polygons in a simple arrangement and the texture looks like it was made in MS Paint (which isnt necessarily bad, it just means if you want a professional looking game youll have to open it in photoshop or something). its strength/uniqueness is in the originality of the shape/geometry

so, all he was saying is, it's not a top of the line model. and i agree, in 2 hours many could have a much better ship

this doesn't have to be something rude, it could be something to learn from and try to excel at for the modeller. yeah it sucks when you're told something you worked on isn't that great, but often improvement requires trial and error, and it's not meant personally, it's meant in this manner (hence my little analysis)

Eh, I didn't even make the model, I'm not offended. Just that isn't really constructive criticism, more like plain old criticism.

clbembry... did you even read qwe's post.... (and by the way all criticism can't be constructive things are made some one right and its made by their opinions and choices. what they like and dislike. because of this its made a certain way. now depending on the look the time spent the poly count. i said what I thought about it i didn't like it. the color choices were fine its the shape of it. its to basic especially for spending 2 hours on it. now skill levels vary but obviously this isn't his first model or texture. now yea he could have be angry had no intrest in modeling and screwed around most of the time. and popped this out at last minute and just said the total amount of time he spent in the program. it could have been late at night so he was tierd. these are things that alter how well something is made and how much effort is put into it.

based on the quality of work he had put out in 2 hours before i felt that this didn't hold up to the quality he had been producing. and because of that i gave a bad idea of it.

and yes i know im onto a 3rd paragraph over this.... but i felt i should say why i said that(considering its being taken that way)

Critz are good and I'm not offended. I posted this just before bed and I honestly just put up 2hrs...not exactly sure on the time I spent on it. It was just something quick I wiped up because I was sorta ticked off that my tank model wouldn't load up.

Anyway I welcome critz, whether their negative or not, your not going to hurt my feelings.

...and yes I agree, this is my 'worst' model so far in this project, lol!

Edit: Here's the high res texture and the PSP file for the ship:
