I'll make 365 games in 5 years, and 5 years from now I'll make a thread "365 games in 1 day." and just post all of them.

I'm so clever

Wasn't able to do much the past two days because of work and family. Though I do promise that once I go on vacation many great things will be happening.

Day 40 / Model 35: RTS Building: Tank Bunker
-Production Time: 1hr
-30 'Triangular' Polygons
-1 Mesh
-1 Texture Map
-1 Normal Map

Looks like I'll be doing some catching up at least the next few days. This is the farthest behind I've been.

I think I'm ready to move on from RTS models as well. Maybe one more model then to my next theme.

-353 downloads and counting!

Hey Josh,

I have really enjoyed reading through this thread and watching what you make. Some really good, simple, models in there. I really like the texturing you have going, pretty consistently, over the last few models. It seems that you have worked out a flow, and are sticking to it No better feeling than churning out models!

Keep up the great work!

Thanks greenlig.

I've come up with a pipeline that really works for me, so I'm able to finish models faster then I'd normally spend on them.

I'm liking the HQ, it seems to be almost Halo inspired...

After making it and staring at it for a few moments I came to the same conclusion, "..dang that looks like a Halo building."

Why do you keep highlighting the edges on all of your models texture-wise in one way or another? The point of most textures is to hide the faceting, not to enhance it. Some things may have those sorts of highlights in real life but not on every single edge. I realize it probably hides seams but I don't really think it looks good.

..err, the only models I've highlighted the edges were the RTS models. It's just a style I came up with to keep all of them looking consistent. Same as adding the caution lines to most of the models. None of my other models have them, except this last one which was a quick model.

Dang, been busy and I've been trying to get some modeling done today, just wasn't able to do much.

...lots of catching up to do...blah...

Anyway, was able to finish this up tonight(this morning). About to UV map it, then I can texture it.

FPS Hand Model | 353 'Triangular' Polygons
Soon to be: Day 45 / Model 38

Shaded:

Wireframe:

This is part of my new FPS section of the project. On top of that, I'll be attempting to import them into FPSC. So that should make some peps happy.

Later.

Finally got this 'hand' UV mapped and started on the texture...and let me tell you UV mapping a hand is no small task.

Here's a closeup view so you can see what I'm doing. Just have the base skin laid out, next onto bigger details.

Josh, your modelling skills are great, but where you really stand out is your texturing. It's top class, man.

Alright! Now that I've had my Harry Potter fix I can get back to work.

Started to finish up the hand texture this morning. Just need to fix a few seams and then the normals so they look more realistic.

Screenshot:

Hope to finish this after lunch, then I plan for four more models today. We'll see what happens, heh.

-Victorian 5 Shooter
-Ray Gun
-Atomic Gun

The Tiki statue is for the 3d competition. Thought some peps would like to have it.

I'm working on the FPS models weapons now, so no worries.

Lucifer:
I'll definitely do all 100 models, though whether it turns out to be 100 days, or 120 days, I'm not so sure. Though I'll push myself as much as I can to do it in 100 days.

Funneh . In the interest of FPSC, what kind of ammo does it use? (Or does it?)

I was thinking the raygun was the 'infinite' ammo gun. Crappy damage, maybe good for destroying boxes. My next gun will require ammo though.

I compared it, and it looks nothing like COD's ray gun. It just looks like a generic sci-fi gun.

That1Smart Guy: I have no idea what your saying.

This is just a simple sci-fi gun. You can do whatever you want with it.

I swear, sometimes the people who post in this thread complain so much over 'FREE' models.

...yep. There's a term for it: ingrate.

Anything that you are willing to spend time on, and offer to the community is a tremendous gesture, Josh Mooney.

Despite the whining of a select few ingrates, your efforts are greatly appreciated by a countless number of members,
