That's my plan, I'm simply going to add some Make Camera commands and then it's up to the player.

As above

I like it, may I add it to my signature?

sure thing scene, i dont care who uses it

i might also put that in egghead

edit: i found a nice pic of a real robotic wasp, but i couldnt fit it in to the maximum signature size, even with resizing, because it just looks horrible when stretched like i need it, so im not gonna bother (unless someone better than me in photoshop does it)

Nice machine, WASP mod must run like a bullet on that!

I'll add you to the list as we have a space.

Just to let everyone know that WASP mod has been taking up quite a lot of time, more than I'd expected just solving little problems and I have a number of other projects underway beside this one. Including writing a book which is more along the lines of paid work.

WASP mod, will as always remain free, but should anyone feel like it, I've added a donate page to my website here. Any contribution is appreciated and will help me to feel my work is worthwhile.

Just a quickie, due to problems with my old website (the donate link wasn't working), WASP mod can now be found here

I've updated my profile and the link in the first post, the old site will no longer be updated.

I hope no one minds, but the site now includes goggle ads. (I normally ignore them!) - however, I'm finding that I need to justify my time a little more and time is money etc.. Clicking on the ads will help support WASP mod. Thanks.

Hey Scene, I'm REALLY sorry about the delay.

Here's the image and code to it links to this thread:

That should work. And here's what the image will look like:

{EDIT}:

I've just played around with the image a bit, made it lighter, more dynamic and added a border. You can choose what one you like more (If you choose to use my banner).

Here's the image and code to it links to this thread:

Hi All,

I know I said i wasn't going to update until V116, and this is a sort of half update. The latest version of WASP mod has been uploaded. This is purely about speed increases. I've dealt with the little bugs regarding disappearing objects, introduced the 2 timers system and optimized a couple of things. Please test for speed only.

Sorry, Beta testers, as this is for speed only, I haven't sent this version to you, the next update will feature new commands which will need testing for bugs!

Download in first post!

In addition to the latest update, I have also been offered three excellent logos by Dolphin Lover, Gunn3R and Kerrby, I can't decide which one to use (although I'm currently using both Dolphin Lovers and Gunn3R in various documents!)

So I'm asking you guys to have a look at them and vote. The winner will get used as the official logo.

Thanks.

V1.1 is up in the first thread. The latest upgrade is purely about speed, so I'm awaiting some feedback.

Quote: "did u achieved 3rd person?"

As I think I said before, 3rd person isn't a major priority for me as I'm working on First Person features. It's still a possibility, but if I add it, it'll be one of the last features added.

Last chance to comment!

Over 50 downloads of V1.1 and no comments, should I assume that all is well and that no one has any problems? What sort of FPS are people getting? Are there any crashes?

Huge levels huge framerates!!! I love it, might create something like Oblivion, but then uglier with the Pirate Pack.

I do experience a weird bug, some weapons keep on the ground even when i picked them up...

But other than that it is great! Keep up the good work.

BTW please keep the peak options, and the zoom with the mouse its great that way. Hoewever changing the action key to f would be good.

Found a couple things wrong.

Some of the weapons don't disappear when you pick them up. And some entities such as health packs and even weapons don't appear at all but can still be picked up.

Hi Guys, these were issues with release V1, can I confirm that you are both using the latest download V1.1

You can tell as it's just called FPSC.game in the download, not WASP mod.

Ahhh sorry. I forgot to rename v1.1 lol. So yeah I'm still using V1. I'll get back to you momentarily if it's fixed.

Edit...

The bugs have been fixed. The fps is even better in this version for me too. It's running at a constant 60fps. It feels too fast though lol. Maybe cap the fps? 60fps feels crazy fast lol.

Man, ur mod is awesome? really. Ive got 154 fps on a gigantic lvl.

But the main think of interest is scripting. I am a profi scripter (and not a boaster javascript:insertSmiley('') ). So tell me plz-what new scripts are added? I would prefer a full list javascript:insertSmiley('')

Its my own surname? really!

Currently, uncapped, but I imagine I'll add a command to allow the user to set the cap.

Quote: "Man, ur mod is awesome? really. Ive got 154 fps on a gigantic lvl."

Wow! That's better than I've been getting. How large a level?

Quote: "what new scripts are added?"

Sorry, do you mean what new scripting commands are added? If so, I've removed them from this version but they will be back into V1.2

Ready to go in are 2 new target entity commands thanks to Dar13, camshake,Fov and 3 AI rotate commands from the original Apple Juice mod, individual entity timers & variable headshot damage.

I've some other code ready to go in, but will be delaying it for awhile until I know this version is stable. I imagine after the commands Water will be my next step, incidentally, I'm not using the Wizmod water, but rather my own system.

It's also possible that some of the Airmod commands will start to make their way across, but no promises yet.

Can you write all scripting commands (except native javascript:insertSmiley('') ) that are avaliable in 1.1? Im using it now and i want to do same scripting/

Ang what about new global vars?

p.s. Sometimes i get en error, but after it Creator continues compiling. Not spoky, but rather annoying.

As I said, there are no new scripting commands in this version, they will be added slowly into the future versions.

Quote: "Ang what about new global vars"

These were removed due to an unexpected bug, they will be added in a later version.

Quote: "how bout every time i try to test a lvl it crashes extra debug info 00"

That is a bug, but I don't think it's with my source. I've had a similar problem. Please make sure that you're running under the offical V1.15, and that if you have tested V1.16 that you've removed all trace of it as this appears to be where the problem lies.

I've done many searches for information on how to invert the mouse Y axis and can't find a way. I know lots of people use this in FPS's and I think it would be most welcome.
I'd certainly welcome it.

You can't yet.... The listed features are for inclusion in a later version.. These things take time and I have a real life too.

Quote: "Youll understand me-i would not use a mod for only huge fps, sorry!"

You are under no obligation to use WASP mod if you don't want to. But without vast FPS increases first, there is little or no point in adding extra commands, especially ones heavy on system usage. As this mod is free and my time is limited, features will be added as and when I have time. If you wish to use a mod with lots of extra scripting, I suggest you check out the other mods on the board which currently have extra scripting commands.

But it was working before? And you're running the same version?

What Version of FPSC are you running? Have you tested V116 at all, because in many cases the editor will crash if you have tested this version with Mods (even it appears if you uninstall it!)

I'm having that problem. It's crazy annoying. I uninstalled it and went back to v115 but it still crashes. That's an issue that needs to go lol.

The speed of this mod still amazes me though. Levels I was getting 20fps on I'm getting 50-60 in this.

Hmm... This is odd, as only some people are getting this. I did have a similar issue a month or so ago and reinstalling FSPC sorted the problem. Have you ever tested V116? Because the crash appears to be in the editor which I obviously haven't changed and for me happened after testing V116.

Does anyone else have this problem?

Could some people please try building a level in vanilla V115, build a stand alone game of it and run it using WASP V1.1 and tell me the results.

I think that's what's been causing the problem in the first place. If you could try what I suggested in my last post.

I'm a bit busy at the moment, but I might try to upload a fresh build to see if that solves the problem.

I'm having the same problem. I've used V116 but I uninstalled it completely and I'm using V115 but I still get an error every test.

I've tried reinstalling but didn't work. I would build it but I can't build games from my computer anymore due to some crazy weird bug.
