i like it, but the handle looks very rough, mabey a repeating diamond shape would work a bit better, also i like the green that you're using as, a base colour? it should mabey be used as a colour for the final product, i think it'd end up looking more unique than just another gun.

The weapons are truly awesome... but the texture of the barrels simply cannot be beaten. The only thing I don't know how I can buy these things.

I Didn't really Go Back To Ur Previous Posts But here Is Woot I have To Say Starting From The Rusty Red Gasoline Tank Thingy ...
---------------------------------
1- ur Low poly models Are Pretty Good but u sometimes need more polys to From The Right Shape Of The model..

2- U need to Try out High Poly Modelling And making Normal Maps

3- U need To Start Making ur Own Textures On Photoshop
---------------------------------
As Modelers Our Goal is To Create Realistic 3D Out of Scratch And Make The Gamer Feels That it's real Not A Bunch Of Colors On A Virtual object

I Critted Ur Models Based On What A Gamer Would like To See In games Nowadays .

isnt that what he is doing with the gun?

and it isnt always req to do that, a LOT of modellers, and i mean A LOT, uses pictures and just edits them a bit, since it is quicker

Your first point doesn't even make grammatical sense - I don't get what you're going at with that.

Fair enough on the second point, but he prefers last gen methods as he is making it for a last gen engine.

You need to research before slating someone's work - he odes use Photoshop, extensively and skilfully...

A broad mind lacks focus.

Oi Oi .. It's Just My Opinion O,o Wazzup With All The Crits On My Post .. it's Up To Him After All.

@ Quik : I Agree... in some way

@ Coffeegrunt : What I mean By The First Point Is Tweaking ... Ex: The Hammer Of The Pistol ...

If it Looks Like This then I'm offically Blind

haha you guys need to take a 2-day trip to my neighborhood and have a reference picture taking marathon. With me and the other 20 rednecks in my neighborhood with guns. Youd have fun lol, the plus part is, we can also shoot on my property. Heh, its cool, my neighborhood is in the shape of a lowercase-b. and we are right before the loop starts, and everyone *in* the loop is bound to homeowners association rules, but the people in the line arent, so we can fire ;D

But we are smart about it, we aim down our hill and it hits woods and then past that is just the ground/creek.

So were all set

FrozenCore#6 im always happy to get crits on my work, but all you have done is tell me how you think i should go about creating 3d artwork.

Quote: "U need to Try out High Poly Modelling And making Normal Maps "

no i dont im quite happy with the way i do things,i have & can do high poly work i just choose to work in low poly.

Quote: "U need To Start Making ur Own Textures On Photoshop "

what the hell are you talking about most of my textures are handmade including the ones you are criting.i dont just paste a photo onto an object & call it done.

Quote: "Ex: The Hammer Of The Pistol ...

If it Looks Like This then I'm offically Blind"

your right its not like that, for starters thats not the same weapon & the hammer is in the cocked position.the hammer on my model is mostly hidden by the topslide but it is the correct shape for the model im making ,i should know as the origonal weapon is sat on my desk in front of me.

Quote: "As Modelers Our Goal is To Create Realistic 3D Out of Scratch And Make The Gamer Feels That it's real Not A Bunch Of Colors On A Virtual object"

this i find most insulting as from what i can tell you havent been modeling very long & all your work is made from tutorials ,so what would you know about making reslistic 3d from scratch ?

your more than welcome to crit my work but be specific about what you think is wrong then give me advice on how to improve it.dont just dog my models & workflow in general.

rant over

cheers henry

+1 for the ham!

There is something about the metal on your texture though that is bothering me... :/ I can't put my finger on it, but it may be shininess, it seems too much like the plastic grip.

I was a little insulted by that and it wasn't even aimed at me

Please don't start every word with caps, it's tiring to read...

Also, any gamer knows that it's "virtual colours on a screen," Who honestly believes a game is real?

Anyway, back to the thread.

henry, it looks great but i still think that adding a nice deep colour of green or something different would look great, we see far to many grey/ blueish guns

Not all of us.

I don't just wave it around at everyone i see.
And the reason i said what i said was because almost every single person i know has a gun, or lives in a building with one.

Now stop flaming me and my culture.

Lol soz For the Late Reply

And Soz If Anything From My Last Thread Seemed As An insult , I Didn't Mean it .... Hmmm And
Quote: "this i find most insulting as from what i can tell you havent been modeling very long & all your work is made from tutorials ,so what would you know about making reslistic 3d from scratch ?
"

i Already Said This Sentence... Just Used SOme Of The 3D modelling Words i learned
Quote: "I Critted Ur Models Based On What A Gamer Would like To See In games Nowadays ."

Ps: I never Crit Based On My Knowledge .. I Crit Based On Woot Most People Would Like To See ... And As For me .. I Dont Really see A Difference Between Criting And Advice .. They're Both To Pointing out points which need attention right ?

@ The High Poly Modelling .. I didn't know About That And As i Said B4 .. I Only Looked Back Till ur Rusty Red Can

@ Photoshop : If It Is As u Said Then U Done A great Job And U Should Keep goin :3

1 Final Notice xD

*I Said Harsh Critting Just To Get U Prepared , I once Got Epicly Flamed on A Forum For Critting A Photoshop Nooby *

Very very nice, but perhaps a bit too fluid and slow on the slashing motion?
But i like the idle/walking animation.

I agree, the slashes need to be a lot faster, and a lot wider in length too, I mean, when, its either a bullet hole, stab, or a huge gash in your chest when it comes to war

Like already stated, the slashes need to be faster, wider, and 'stronger'. Also, the walking anims seem a tad odd. Think of how you would walk while holding a knife and animate that, but exaggerate it. Do the same with how you would slash.
