i have a feeling he was banned for somthing he said in this thread
http://forum.thegamecreators.com/?m=forum_view&t=166043&b=24
even though it is probaly true the peson named did let a lot of people down.if he was banned for this it was a bit extreme or mabie personal.

IMHO that should've just been a slap. A little harsh to be banned for that

It was a slap, I remember him being slapped for that. He wasn't banned (I don't think) I think that he was just too busy to continue with the mod.

Not sure if my FPSC has messed the EXE up, but I can't use any of the scripts. I'll download the latest version of this and try again, I think it may have been corrupted when I was downloading it (although it worked). Plus, I noticed that when I was using the Lobotomy, he cycled through its animations when I shot it, and it just did the basic death when it died . When I try to use the scripts with the mod, FPSC X10 comes up with an error in-game saying "Illegal Script bound at line n". Anyway, I'll try again and see what happens. Looking forward to the iron-sights and recoil too .

I tried localtimerstart=n and localtimergreater=n, both crashed the game. I can't retry right now, I've bought a GT240 to replace my crappy HD 4550 so yeah.

Well the actual command is startlocaltimer and there is no =n, see if that works.

Lol, by n I mean an integer e.g. 5, 5000 and so on . And I'm not used to the name of the scripts, and that was the one I did (startlocaltimer=n)

Oh yeah, I didn't do that, sorry, my brain's run off today xD. I didn't add the =n part to the startlocaltimer parameter, just the localtimergreater=n. Wow I am confusing...

any luck with the area fix yet?

and is there a chance you could start a fresh thread so that you can update the first post and give all the sorted info. just a suggestion though.

I haven't really looked at that yet, I have a massive problem that I have to fix for now, I'll get on that once I have everything else working.

I've been thinking about it, I will now that someone else thinks it's a good idea. I'm going to spend my entire day trying to get the current version working, start the new thread with the newest version.

Yeah, it will be nice to have the mod on the first post, I'm currently getting some issues sorted out, when I do release the new version, it won't have ironsights yet, unfortunately. That is because I would just like to have a new version ready to start the new thread with. I am also going through all script commands myself to make sure that they all work flawlessly.

@Budokaiman As you may know I an very close friends with Shadowtroid. (You know me as Little Troid!) Shadow is a tester for the mod, so I was wondering if I could do minor testing. The main reason for me wanting to do this is that I am making a game with x10, (I love the new things!) and I would love a good x10 mod. Also I think the .sig looks cool and I don't have one, so that .sig (or rights to making my own) would be great!

@ budokaiman

no problem on that, and wise to go over and over your work, this can only lead to good praise and a good learning knowledge of the engine.

rather than iron sights i'd prefer rumble pack or just basic gamepad function, so my arms can have a break from leaning on the mouse and work desk and not drop off!. just to have that would be great and more game-ified. but as you have heaps on i will merely shut thy own trap and slightly hint here and there.

anyway good luck on smoothing out the lumps.

I'll look into that, but I'm not sure if that would require a plug-in, or if it is a default feature of DBP.

EDIT: I just looked into gamepads, DBP can handle gamepads, so I can work on that, I'll still have to look into how to access the rumble feature. I'd assume there was a control to determine the torque of the motors, but I don't know. I will work on that, I just want to get what I am doing done, so that I can start the new thread and release a more stable version of the mod.

its a function already added to x9 v117 apparently well dualshock i believe is a gamepad function. if you look on migration thread (marc steene) in fpsc chat it tells of whats added and whats being added etc. and dual shock is one. if you cant now, when its released would you know where the code is for it in x9 migration. or even in google code?

not sure though.

I browsed through the x9 code, and found nothing on dualshock or rumble, just gamepad controls.

I just went through the entire change log of the migration too. I think there is a misunderstanding, there is no "dualshock", but the migration features support for Logitech's "Dual Action" controller.

well i have one of them so that would be great if you could grab it and incorporate if you can. i think loads of people have logitech dual action. but as i say if and when.

and again not a demand, a sort of subtle hint.

also you changed the area to normal. is that as in back to normal size. or you sorted the twin size and now can edit 80 x 80?

cheers for your replies by the way

I will get started on the gamepads once I have the current version completely working.

Quote: " is that as in back to normal size. or you sorted the twin size and now can edit 80 x 80?"

The grid is 80x80, the squares now fit, ie. each black square can place one segment, not four.

Don't forget about recoil, which can be set in the gun's properties in the map editor, and all the other scripting commands that I have added.
