Holy crap, i actually did it! i built myself a working DIY Cintiq. Just finished calibrating it manually which took like 2 hours. Sorry but the first thing i drew on it was a Mi24 in MS paint and not a pony but anyway, i will start a whole new thread on this later today or tomorrow,

Just gunna reanimate here.

The aim is to imply, not go all out. The better pictures often portray it as platonic love, rather than anything sexual. People found artwork of myself and Dan cute because we're two actual bronies, there was a story behind the picture about us, and they found it cute as a representation of that story.

The problem with your pic, is that you're shipping yourself with a fictional character. There is no way around that fact, it's what you set out to do and it can't look like anything else. There is no story beyond, "I want Rarity."

Every loved piece of artwork in this fandom is often drawn from a fic. The result is that people see, say, Octavia and Vinyl in a candlelit room cuddling. Now the pic in itself may not be too cute, but it piggy-backs the fic's writing to augment itself. People who have read the fic the artist was inspired by will unlock an extra level of detail, and go, "Oh, it's that scene! I loved this part!"

I don't like using my own work and art as examples, but you did pull me into this, Zach. People found my work cute, because I fell into a sappy relationship with another brony, and since bronies have an interestingly symbiotic relationship with each other, the support was overwhelming.

Bronies work to make each other happy, finding out that two bronies plan to get together, and met because of the show? Well, it represents a dream that they may find someone as well. That dream augments it further, whereas your dream is entirely unachievable. Sorry to burst your bubble, but Rarity will never be real.

The pony.mov series are very disturbing. I did enjoy them though. The style reminds me of ren and stimpy, if you know what I mean.

That reflected excellently in your fan fiction. I loved your humor a lot.

pony.mov has some sick humor. I find the whole idea of it funny for some reason. But again, it's just my opinion and my sense of humor.

About pony.movs: They're made to be controversial. I'm sure a lot of bronies dislike 'em.... others think they're funny. I don't really like them, nor hate them. I thought the first one was funny, after that it got worse.

I just returned from the second brony meeting in Düsseldorf, it was fun. It's nice to actually meet the people in person instead of just on the forum. And the idea of printing a pony shirt myself isn't such a bad idea. I might try that myself or have someone print something for me... but first I'd have to come up with a decent design, I don't just want to put a pony vector on it

I was curious about what would happen if you combine Ponies and John Vasqez (invaider Zim) drawring style. So i tried it and this came out.

Unfourtunatley, the screen dosent perfectly fir, ihere is a small area to the right of the screen which dosent interact wioth the sensor as the sensor stops there, Also areas above and below are short of the sensor by about 5 pixels each or something, but its ac close ofg a screen as i could get thqat was also an LED and thin enough to cause less intefearence with the stylus
