Some girls at my school found out what bronies are. They now call me "brother brony" and get mad at me because I said they have to be pegasisters not bronies if they watched the show.

Ehh... Kids... I hate them...

They have to be? Just call them bronies and be gone with.

Some girls call themselves bronies, so I don't think it really matters. I know it's not gender-correct, but meh! I call everybody 'dude' regardless of gender and it really don't matter so long as they understand me and you understand them.

I'm currently re-watching them and checking out the fanfics...Crazy stuff...

My favorite fanfic- nights favored child which i thought was dead since last yer finally started updating again! i am so happy. A bunch of other fanfics i liked started updating as well. Good to know they are not dead. I also found one which was apeerently so amazing people hate it because after reading it they find it hard to enjoy other fanfics. I wanna read it but unfourtunatley i have to be hospitalised for 10 days and i am not allowed to even have my cellphone with me because the clinic dosent want to be responsible for stolen property. i dont know how i will survive the next 10 days. I just started getting into ponies and fanfics again.

@4125
some of my fanfic reccomendations are:

Nights favored child
the quiet place (or the scilent place i cant remember)
The empety room
Envy and arrogance (currentley sequel "guilt and hate" is in progress i think it will be a trilogy)
The Immortal game (also known as "Ponies make war" prior to the official name change)
Stories in stone (incredibly awesome. start is a little slow as there is a lot of background setting and charecters that needs to be established but totally worth it as the actual story is incredibly epic and i dont think its even halfway finished yet. The best of this story is yet to come)
Also apperently "the games we play" is amazing from what the comments say.

I still havent read "the end of ponies" which is supposed to be really good and the second longest fanfic written with wordcount of about half a million.

Also be sure to get good music to create the atmosphere. I usually like starwars soundtrack, goes well with everything i read.

dont hate people who rip you off, cheat and get away with it, learn from them

Welcome to the herd!

Oooh, here are my recommendations and my opinions for the good one's I've read:

The ones you read just for expirience

Cupcakes - The most horrible gore story. Everything about this story is atrocious, and it's not a good story at all. You just read it to know about it.

Rainbow Factory - A Grim Dark story about how rainbows are made. The writing was good, and the story was fantastic idea. Beware though, this is nothing for the weak. You've been warned.

The really good ones

My Little Dashie - The saddest story I've ever read in my life. Absolutely worth reading this.

Allegrezza - Written by a fellow forum member here, he has hilarious humor and excellent writing skills. Vinyl Scratch and Octavia, two ponies with opposite personalites and behaviours, are lead together in a romantic story.

Anthropology - In my opinion a very unique concept for a story. Lyra is obsessed with humans and tries to prove they exist, however nopony listens to her. This makes her even more determined to find proof that humans once existed, and even goes as far as to make herself a set of human hands.

Antipodes - Luna and Celestia vanished a long time ago, leaving the sun and moon frozen.

Romance Reports - This story contains CLOP. If you don't know what that is, google it. Why is this on my list? Because it relates to real life in so many ways, and was one of the most gripping stories I've read. The scenes are very "saucy", but the writing is brilliant. It's a must-read.

Fallout Equestria - One of the longest fan fictions ever written. If you can buy the unrealism of an untrained young pony killing heavily armed raiders, the rest of the story is brilliant. I haven't read it all to be honest, but being 200 pages in I can safely say it's a good read.

Happy reading! And don't be afraid to cry when you read My Little Dashie. We all did.

I think "this is nothing for the weak" is pretty false there as pretty much nothing really horrible happens tbh

As I stated, it was just my opinion. I rated cupcakes bad because it's right down there with "Sweet Apple Massacre". There's no plot, no sense, no reason... Just rutheless murdering and gore. I relate better to stories that have a solid pace and plot, good character developement, and make sense. If you read it just for the gore, then it's great.

Again, just my opinion. I felt horrible for a week after reading it. Maybe you're just used to reading gore? Rainbow Factory was honestly the second grim-dark story I've ever read in my life... Besides from that it was a great story, no doubt.

Also you can't say "nothing horrible happened" now, can you? That was pretty horrible...

Speaking of Rainbow Factory... TheComet, did you watch "Captain hook the biker gorilla" yet?

For those who are currently thinking "wtf": It's an animation parody of Rainbow Factory, and the title is so random because at first it wasn't accepted on EQD or something... it's actually kinda being explained before the actual thing starts. I thought it was pretty entertaining even though I never read rainbow factory, so i wanted to hear what those who did read it think

Yes, I did watch it. It was entertaining to say the least. I laughed at the part where he kept saying there's food by the door.

You should read Rainbow Factory RedFlames. It's a good story.

Anyway, I think you're missing the point. Being a brony doesn't necessarily mean you watch the show. You could totally be into reading grim-dark fan fictions, or listening to the wide range of brony music, and you could consider yourself a "brony".

There's so much quality in this fan base, it's insane.
