Besides, most companies seem to "accidentally" leak stuff for publicity, like an Alpha release for their communities, but it's exciting and creates a massive rush to play it because it "wasn't supposed to happen."

I mean, what would you guys (mainly referring to Comet & Coffee here) say if you had an internal test version of PonyCraft (and testers who agreed to an NDA) and then it suddenly gets posted everywhere?...

I will certainly not download the leak...

PS: Regarding PonyCraft, I had planned to create a thread about it over at bronies.de to keep people updated and spread news/info etc. (there's a PonyKart thread already) and then decided it would be a good idea to write down stuff from the stream to have something to post... so far I got halfway through the stream and tried to write down ALL of the Q&A (even though in some parts you guys are a little hard to understand, sometimes I need 5 minutes to guess a single word because it's hard to understand... even though I do of course understand everything you say in the context...). So if you think a written version of the Q&A from the stream could be helpful for you later I can post it or give it to you. Is there any written description of the gameplay/story/etc. anywhere so far? I haven't really checked much on your forum...

A written version would be really awesome! We could compile it all into an FAQ. I'm assuming you'll also have a German version of it, is that correct?

Actually I was going to be lazy and post it in english

But maybe I'll translate it... I just never realized how much text you can speak in a 90 minutes livestream. I worked on it for a few hours each on two evenings (okay I sometimes got distracted with other stuff in between but still...) but maybe I'm just slow at writing with my one-handed-typing

Oh and thanks for the link! Now I know how to spell Biomech. I suspected it was this guy but wasn't 100% sure.

If you need help we can split the work. I could do part 5-9 and you part 1-4 or something, just let me know.

I'm programming a lot of core stuff right now. I'm re-writing all of the script interpretation code so it supports parenthesis (brackets), conditional checks (if...endif), conditional jumps with custom tags. I'm even adding a compiler so the scripts are compiled to more efficient code before they are executed by the game. Speed increase is around 1200%.

Something I've been working on in the last few days... Chibiterasu as a Pony hybrid or something. MLP/Ōkamiden crossover or whatever. I dunno!

(I didn't even know much about this character before a friend of mine asked me if I'd be able to draw this. He isn't even a brony... yet . At first I thought Chibiterasu is just a chibi version of Amaterasu from Ōkami, but turns out he is the character from the NDS sequel 'Ōkamiden'... )

I still find it completely impossible to draw eyes that are not creepy-looking... especially if the eyes are completely black :/

Comments, critique, bashing and laughing at is appreciated!
(stole that sentence from TheComet. I understand why you'd use it here in the TGC WIP board, but you forgot to remove it when posting the same stuff at the PonyCraft forum... )

Even though some of you aren't really fond of the .MOV series on YouTube, I just thought it'd be nice to mention that Allegrezza's Octavia appeared in PARTY.MOV and even had a speaking part. I can't remember CoffeeGrunt's stand on the .MOV series, but that's still a really cool thing to see, haha. With the series being so popular (the current video having 1.9 million views) that's quite a monumental reference, so kudos to you, CoffeeGrunt!

[edit] Now that I think about it, this might've already been mentioned previously on this thread. Regardless, it's still pretty awesome.

I...uhhh...

I really don't like the pony.MOV series at all, to be honest. While Octavia did appear and speak, she wasn't really "my" Octavia. She's a relatively common fictional character in certain genres, especially alongside Vinyl Scratch/DJ Pon-3.

But yeah, not my Octavia. References to alcoholism - especially fine wines and whiskey - would have made her more like mine. :/

That's fair enough, then. Not everybody enjoys such videos, haha, as I stated when addressing them earlier. Though with such a large fan base, it's hard to argue that it isn't at least flattering to have something of your creation used. With a character so popular, it's almost like Octavia is a celebrity in the tabloids. Being a celebrity comes with being portrayed as something it's not just for entertainment.

Also, if Octavia wasn't your creation and is just a general character in the MLP universe that you characterized in a fanfiction, then I see what you're saying. I haven't watched nearly as much MLP as you fellows, nor read a single fanfiction, so forgive me if my information is a little off, heh.

I just see Octavia and instantly associate the character with CoffeeGrunt.

Apple.mov was good indeed, the others are IMO great but... completly different - they have a "story"
which I dont necessarily dislike but.. I cant match em up in the same tree as Apple.mov...

And party.MOV is a rotten apple in that tree
