What is the state of play on the 10K or 15K max rule? People keep saying 10K, but the most up to date post from Rich says...

Quote: "I may amend the byte limit to 15KB, depends on the quality of the entries. But allow for 15KB for now."

Yeah, I know he said that but I'm just keeping it below 10k anyway just in case he changes his mind. Plus, it's not hard to compress it below 10k and you don't lose much (if any) image quality.

Yes, Rich has put his name on the swear filter because everyone kept asking about him, every second post was about him, basically. Now every second post seems to be: "Hey look, CmC is a swear word!"

@exeat, As with all of my submissions, I will be re-submitting this one her you can delete the first one.

<sigh> it's already friday i think for those of you in Europe, so i suppose i'll give up making banners now. I was playing around in photoshop, hoping to pull something off spectacular at the last moment, but all i ended up with was a mediocre banner.

oh well. Good luck to you all. May the best banner win. ^_^

Ok guys - time is up!

I will start short-listing them all in the next few hours. When done I'll just do a final-check with Exeat that we're good to go and we'll open up the voting.

Cheers,

Rich

Apparently as it has been pointed put to me by several people, the images that "LeLurch" have used for his banner's are edits copyrighted material.

The artist is found on this site: http://gallery.artofgregmartin.com/

and the two images in question:
http://students.washington.edu/sirgerg/landoplenty/jovian_800.jpg

and
http://students.washington.edu/sirgerg/landoplenty/genesis_800.jpg
If needed for the 2 images:
The User name is = guest
The pass = access

***EDIT*** It has been told to me that he was not aware of them being copyrighted material.

Exeat,

you can get around the vote-tracking. I won't post the details, but I was able to reset the voting drop-downs. Can I suggest you monitor IP addresses too?
