I've emailed Glenn (creator of twilight) before. He replied pretty quickly, but never actually got round to emailing me Twilight.
DJ - I'm not exactly sure what that is meant to be (anyone could've drawn it in paint in 5 minutes), sure doesn't look like the console, but the lines are quite thick. Generally I would expect lines to be 1-4 pixels wide max. Thick, chunky lines look weird and scrappy on a UI. It should look high tech and slick, if ya get what I mean. You can also use an alpha channel if you want, just save the art as PNG or TGA.
Clownpaint - Excellent stuff
. We've got a whole selection of music now (umm, 3 is a selection
), looks like this project is finally picking up pace. Now I just need to impliment it all :S, which will take a bit longer. One thing about the music track I guess, is near the end it drags on a bit for a while (isn't much going on). Maybe you could add something different to that last bit to make it more interesting?
Hawkeye - Cool
. I really need to make another list of people in the team, it's getting quite confusing now.
UPDATE:
I implimented TEMPORARY representations of other players online (coloured boxes), and we've successfully had 3 people in the same game, though there is quite a bit of packet loss with message sending and pinging, but I'm hoping I'll be able to fix that when Benjamin releases the new version of his multiplayer dll. I've also been experiementing with syncronizing the physics between players, but it's proving to be very complicated (not made easier by major packet loss). The method I am using is to have newton running on the server, and sending the position, rotation, velocity and angular velocity of each object to each player. Players send information to the server, such as forces applied to objects (eg. in bullets), and the player position, so a player object representing them on the server can be updated, creating interactions with the server objects (which are then used to position the player's objects). Thing is, I can only update one object at a time, each object about 100ms apart, so it doesn't really work that well at the moment.
Isn't it? Wasn't it? Marvellous!
