Aww... Come on Drew Cameron, I actually am up to playing. I can understand if you have something against me or anything, it's just that all of a sudden I have all this free time. Right now I have a few days with nothing to do. If you just dislike something about me, I guess I can understand...

EDIT:
Yes I actually have gotten problems from games and solved them. I mean I have good debugging experiecnce. I just would like to beta test for once. And beta test for an acutally good game at that. I don't know.

I'D LOVE TO TEST!!!!!
Unfortunatly, I have absoulutly no idea how my system works... I'd understand if you don't think i'd be a good tester. If you do, my e-mail is here: mkurnett@yahoo.com
Hope it gets out on the 15th, even if it has one or two teeny tiny bugs. Only one thing i'd like fixed; the mouse problem. I have a touch pad, and whenever I accdentally touch it, D and C minimizes. If i un-minimise it, it gives me "runtime error: sprite already exists".
Good luck!

Guess what? I finished Squirrel Wars! Check out the program announcements!

Also Drew, (Lol sounds funny, saying to someone with their name like mine)
I Did find a small bug in your Dumbo and Cool Demo. I forgot to tell you before. When you use Dumbo (Atleast I think it's dumbo) she get stuck a bit somehow when Cool is standing on the lever in level one, to make the steps appear. A small little glitch were she will fall into the water, you can't really move from there. I guess it was a fluke I found it, if no one said anything about it. Not sure if you think that is helpful. Oh well, please let me test. I will be BOOOOORED for hours at home with nothing to do. .

Oh an the projects I am working on, I can't do much, waiting for models and other crap until i can do some more work.

My apologies but my original response stands. I don't feel you have the experience, as this is a large task. Sorry. I really don't want to be offensive, I've not issue with you - except you stole my name and avatar , so I hope you understand.

Not Young Programmer, you have been following this project helpfully since Day 1, so you are in.

And unless anybody else wants to join in?

I already said I want to join. Cmon, you said earlier

I replied, and I'm rejected. Can I just please beta test for you. I will be helpful. Can you just give me this one chance?

Be creative maybe? your username doesnt have to be ur real name. and a lot of the time i think its Drew C that is talking when really its you.

I don't know, I just saw him asking and my hopes just shot up high. And then I'm just wondering if he can give me one chance to test the game. If he wants, I will change my name and avatar.

Keep your name and avatar,
it's not that the game is a big elitist thing, but it's like that episode of 4400. If I give the full game to somebody because they said please a couple of times, then I'll have to give it everybody who does this. I've got to be selective here, again I'm sorry. Please accept my answer and forgive my candor.

@Drew Cameron
I remember seeing the team request for the orignal Dumbo (along with the concept art ). It's great to see how far you've come, I hope you make yourself a bit (or maybe even a lot) of money out of this. Good luck.

Drew,
I'm having real problems trying to test -

*I recieve "Runtime error 2002-Could not load animation at line 10324" when I press new or continue game

I have all the Windows Media stuff installed, so I can't see why it wouldn't load the anim. The ZIP extracted perfectly also.

Is there a file missing from the ZIP?

[I sent you an email about this aswell]

Right, since I've been uncovering a horrible amount of compatability issues with Dark Bug Pro, it's not going to be out for a while.

I'm going to upgrade it all to 5.9, and all going well this should sort out alot of problems. If this is quick, then the game will be out quickly, if it's problematic, then the game will obviously be delayed a while.

Breaking news

Well, the game is completely done, and I think that, with a long night of testing with David R, we've solved the Crashing errors in the game. However, the game is now extremely slow to load due to the deletion of objects being slow in U5.8 which I have just upgraded to.

SO, I will be taking a couple of days, perhaps one week, to reorganize code so that A) Upgrades are easier and B) There are no gaps in object numbers, which I'm told will dramatically increase performance.

So my signature is still valid - one week to go.

Take a hint specter, he told you politely that you're not on the list and every post you make demanding to be put on is just reflecting poorly on yourself.

Quote: "There are no gaps in object numbers, which I'm told will dramatically increase performance."

o_O Is that... if I do a "load object 1" and then "load object "50" i'd get less performance than "load object 1" and then "load object 2"? Cos if that's teh case i'll have to really redo a lot of my codes x__x

Drew, serious (ly annoying) bug I've just found, which has rendered the game rather more difficult for me to complete

The control key (switch character) has stopped working on level 3!

Bit more detail
---------------
I loaded level 3 from the menu. I started as dumbo (default)moved one step forward, and then switched to cool. I played cool right up to reaching the island with the target range (meaning I passed the bomb bit etc.) I tried to switch to Dumbo after I had reached the target range, and it refused to work

Hopefully there's a logical explanation for this, so I hope you can help Thanks.

That's rightio.

Hey everyone - whilst I'm tidying up some code, I've been fixing up the 2D side of things. The text is now sprite based, and everything's getting upgraded graphically;

Oh yeah, and some storyboards for MOST of the games films. The ending is top secret though, so I haven't included it.

Ha ha thanks! That was the idea anyway;

I've added a bit more life into the main menu now,

Dumbo & Cool now do stuff in the background - they've got some AI code that makes them chase coins as they fall to the ground; with Dumbo ordering Cool to go and fetch the coins if they are far away. Eventually Cool starts to get annoyed at Dumbo and tells her to "Shutup", then Dumbo has to go and get them herself.

What I'm doing now:

I'm redoing all the 2D stuff in bitmap fonts etc..
New loading screens and things like that
Adding microchips etc... into the puzzle levels to make them more computer-y? They're kind of plain at the moment

It's all good!

Testers? Still looking for a few more sets of results from the emails I sent out!

The Nerd , I'll get back to you.

Peter_, that's funny, I've now sent you two emails! Can you wait until the next BETA in about two weeks then, because the current version has some problems anyway that I hope to sort out. Funny that.

David R; for now, please press 2 when you wish to use Cool for a bit, and use the regular "Cool" keys and then press 1 when you wish to exclusively play as Dumbo. Temporary, but it allows you to play at least.

And great news about the Crash On problem. Really great! You're going to love the updates I'm adding now, as well, since I'm restructuring it all anyway to get rid of gaps in object numbers for load speed, I'm adding new things as I go.

Thanks testers! Please continue to try and crash it etc..
