I am now the proud owner of Dumbo & Cool.

I must say Drew, I'm completely blown away by this final version. I wouldn't be surprised if a link for it showed up on the tgc games section. And the Shlump (is that how it's spelled?) viewer thing is an awesome addition.

Thankyou very much Tifu,
Good luck!

P.S: Yep, I think I saw a Visa logo in there somewhere so let's hope Electron is accepted as I know it's popular.

Hey Drew, if I download the game (after buying it), can i burn it on a CD and Copy/intall it to every PC i want or do i have to register it online ?

You can burn it onto CD as many times as you like my chum,
in fact, I urge you to for backup purposes.

It comes as a download file, and once you've downloaded, you don't need to register it etc... It's 100% operational!

Thanks in advance,
Drew

Great to see it's all done Drew, you must have a hell of a lot of determination to have spent so long on it. How long before the next dumbo game's released?

p.s. Just out of curiosity, how many lines of code?

That depends entirely on how many copies I sell of this, ie: is there a future in this? It will take a year or over in any case, judging by the 13 month cycle of this game.

13,205 because of the new sprite code.

Yay! Congrats Drew

Just downloaded the new demo its great and runs really well

Unfortunately all my cards are maxed out at the momnet due to Xmas - but if you email me at "iwantdumboandcool@quikly.com" (I'll delete the email addy straight after it arriving to stop spiders/spam) with your home address and the equivalent in GBP I'll post you a postal order? Thanks

One small question, do you still have the files you used for making the movies? If so could you render them at a higher res to fit the look of the rest of the game? I understand that you made them smaller cos otherwise downloads would be silly sizes, but I own a record company and thus can get CDs made and 6 colour printed REALLY cheaply if you would be interested in making a boxed product... just a thought

Anyway, serious congrats on finishing, the games great and I can't wait to own the full version - Oh and I love the blinking Katey logo at the beginning - pure class

Thanks Drew I'll get the money sent out to you as soon as I get the time As for the higher quality vids, maybe If I send you a cd-r you could burn them for me? Would save you bandwidth Anyway Up to you when you get the payment I'll include my proper email so we can chat via that

Again, congratulations, I really love this game and am so glad you finished it. I hope it does well for you

I remember playing the demo a while back, it wasn't bad I guess.

Just after playing the new demo, hmm this is my point of view take it or leave it...

Allot of people are fans to this game, me not being one of them it's just lacking something I look for in games. I can only describe it as a feeling of "hell YEA! can't wait to see/do next part". I'm not trying to flame your game, as you've obviously took allot of time out to create it to the way you want, but i'm a critic at heart

Gameplay will only ever matter to me , i'd give this game a 6/10 maybe a 7/10 since you've polished it up.

Although I disagree with your points (and I value game play over just about everything except presentation which I think is on even grounds), I know where you're coming from with them. I guess this just isn't your kind of game.

No problem, I fully understand it's not everybodies cup of tea.

There are some rewards for playing though; later in the game you get film sequences between levels, you can read about the guys you've saved, and you come across better obstalces such as bombs, gattling guns, forklifts and conveyor belts. And a ride on top of a train

That's cool though, I really appreciate candor.

I realised I didn't specify what I thought was missing, the game reminded me of MDK *a good game in my opinion* but in D&C you cannot shoot monsters

Only played the first level and second I think, didn't really give the game a chance

*Side thought - hmm aint played MDK in a while*
