Bizar Guy how are they still unreadable?
Only one I see is unreadable and that is because I couldn't get it readable with the colors I wanted and that is the swirl banner.

They are mostly unreadable because they are reduced to about 12k, but they also have close colours to their backgrounds.

O.k, but most of them are readable except for the one that I said was unreadable, the swirl banner.
Are most of the banners good though?

Most are hard to read, and as banners should be easy to read. Maybe your monitor is somehow making you see them more clearly.

Hollywood, everyone appreciates your efforts. However, to keep denying what everyone is saying is just pointless.

Most of your banners look like you've poured pudding over the top. In most cases, a light brown pudding.

You really should stop posting over and over about yourself.

Agreed. The best way to make your text unreadable and blended with the background is to lower the opacity of the text. I'm sure you've got yourself a really great background and all, but it just looks trashy with low opacity text.

I'm not going to say anything else either, except for this - one thing that's hurting you is that your words and cut-out pictures all have jagged edges. It looks bad. It all needs to be anti-aliased. Look at the jagged white edges around the text. You also need to find unified color themes, which you lack in most of your banners.

That's it. Good luck.

And yet another, I'm trying to make each banner distinct in style but maintain my quality. Variety is the spice of life after all.

Saikoro, I'm an old school 2D artist. I try my best to make a living but 'Starving Artist' would be a perfect description of the amount of revenue I make from artwork. Unfortunately there is less and less demand/interest in 2D artists. I'll either have to upgrade my skils to 3D (but sadly my brain is not built for 3D modeling/texturing) or learn to love Kraft Dinner and Peanut Butter (not together) as my regular diet

My current work is on a game called Space Empires 5 http://www.malfador.com/

Sorry for the minor hijack/plug but I'm proud of my work on this game. (as proud of this as the work I did on an old classic game called Steel Panthers.)

Nuf said, Cheers!

Ok... I think if I upload the file with it attached to the post, it loads the file to somewhere @ files.thegamecreatrs.com right? Then I could just link to the file and have the image displayed here... right?

Attempting of said operation in progress...

Sweet it worked!
Oh! Most of youse guyz pictures are freakin' awesom-ness! I know my artistic skills are rather lacking, and perhaps my subject matter is a bit irrelevent in some cases... but I figured I'd just try and have a couple hours of fun with this idea.

@David Gervais-

The ratio of the number of excellent banners you've submitted compared to the number of people that are not you is frighteningly disproportionate. Great stuff.

@Tinkergirl: Thanks! I love food! (doesn't er'ebody?) One thing I loved about Tales of Symphonia... The recipes! I could just read the ingredients and it would make me put down my Gcube controller and grab somethin' from the fridge. I'm very sensitive when it comes to food. ::munch:: ::munch:: ::burp!::

@Cash Curtis: I was half asleep this morning... (up all night like the idiot I am) and have thus changed my post to be more sensible.
