Ah glad you like them! And of course! we will start with vertexes etc... just joking.

Well i just uploaded the rusty car model on the TGC store..(okey maybe a few days ago)
but i am also finishing or finalizing the rusty vans to upload them to the TGC store.
When they are finished i'll upload all the industry models.
And after that i'll see how it goes...and than start uploading my character models!

But maybe not..

I looked over google for a site, right after you posted that!
I must say that they are really tempting to buy!
But i am looking over the internet for some more tutorials...and finally i'll decide which one to get.
But thanks man! Digital tutors is now on the top of my tutorial list!

Of course not! I wont stop making monsters...
But! This is just a sort of pauze from them!
First some scenery models etc etc..
But i already have ideas for my next monsters and believe me
i know for sure you would like them!

Also the freaky girl would a project, i will try to make her very scary without using blood!
Just a pale face, creepy eyes, a dress that is creepy, hair that is covering parts of her face.
Just like the "FEAR" girl only with some certain Cheese Cake style.

That is great, because these characters are very nice.

I am looking forward to getting the whole posse.

Quote: "They look great, just on the last character I think the torso should be shorter."

Yeah, his tummy is too high/long.
If you lower the bottom of his chest a bit, then it will look better I think.
I like the tall height; it's just that the torso looks a bit out of proportion.
I can not tell if it is the model or the texture though without seeing his wireframe.
It almost looks as if a simple adjustment to the texture may sort his torso out.

Yes... more industrial! I love the minivans too, but the Chevy really brings back the "back-seat" memories. LOL. It's great that they have interiors instead of dark windows.

Best.

Well just some new shots...
No these doesnt contain new models...what it does contain! Is:

1 altered model! (now wears a vest)
Altered model in some shots.(begin comic for my game and a eye candy shot)

I couldnt come up with names for the main character...so this is the name for now.
Also the text would likely be changed as i progress with the game.
The comic however! Will be changed ingame! Meaning.
Now it is setup as a comic-page.
But for the final game it would be:
Picture1 (fade-out, fade-in) Picture2 (fade-out, fade-in) Picture3 etc etc.
Also i'll do some voice-acting or maybe find someone who would like to do the voice-acting.

The reason that i wasnt posting any screenshots of models is because!
I started this game a long time ago! Dont know if any of you remember my old thread: "Test Level: Destroyed City"?
Well thats when i started!
First it was meant to be something like Gears of War.
Destroyed city, remaining survivors fighting bad guys.
Now its more complicated! And if i say so myself...its better then the old story!

I'll post a short story once i finish some levels along with some comic pages.

Here is the little comic.
(it isnt that great)
---EDITED---
Had to attach it.
So it is attached.

And the sort of "eye-candy" shot.

Which one? Also...i dont mind crits...but at least you could tell me how to improve it...
else its not a crit, basically telling your opinion.
Which isnt bad at all.
But its better to just say, its bad because...insert something here.
Maybe you should do this...insert something here.
You know?
(i dont mean this in a angry way, by the way)

Quote: "The wings on the image above I feel are too low and off center on his back. "

Yep your right...but that isnt the texture...its the UV.
I still have to change it. Cause i feel the same way two about his wings.
(to bad its pretty hard to change! But i will)

Quote: "Always a pleasure to see your work. I can't wait for the new character."

Glad you like it! The new character is a surprise! But after that, i'll try the sort of "fear girl".

Yeah I get what you mean...
But by Bad filter effects, I mean the Poster(cover.) image, it sorta looked good at first but when you stare at it the left hand side
doesnt look right... could probably do with it being duplicated, then overlayed (blending mode.) then reduced the opacity of both.
especialy the Colour burned layer...

Aih thanks! By the way... i didnt wanted to sound mean or such.
But thanks, i'll look into the poster...but since it isnt that necissary for the game.
I'll probably edit it..or remake it later on.
But thanks man.

Also noticed that you changed your name!

Quote: "also that tatto could be higher..."

Yeah i know what you mean. But that isnt an effect in photoshop.
Or a filter, or overlay. Thats in the texture.
But! In the texture it looks good and all..so its the UV.
Its been bugging me since i made it. And since its the main character
i'll have to fix it, even if i have to remake the UV instead of editing it.
(maybe i'll change the whole model...since i personally dont like it that much)

Sorry for the lack of updates... But i have been working on Redeemed like hell.
And also on my new character. I'll post screenshots of the character soon.
And show the steps that i took, i already have an variation with a beginning of a texture.
The original version doesnt have a texture yet.

I found a issue that is clear in a lot of your models, so prepare for some critique!
You're anatomy in the shoulder area is wrong, the shoulders are WAY too big, even for a beefy man.
Take a look at how the shoulder is located in these images to understand what I mean:

Well everybody forget that comic strip! Since i came up with an even better beginning.
Its still the same game with the same story.
Only a different beginning and and an different ending.
Which i kind of hate! because now i have to make all of the models for the first level. (again)
Cause the beginning playes in a whole different area.
Not so "urban", more clean etc.
But on the other hand! Its a better beginning plus i dont have to make the media for the second or third level!

And! Here is just a W.I.P with mudbox. (so this is the high poly version)
I already have 2 other characters done! But i want to redo the first character.
After that is done! Than i think this one is also almost done.

But! The problem is! I wanted to upload them to the TGC store....
and as you all know...gory horror stuff wasnt allowed over there since a couple of days.
And these contains some....yeah...some sick stuff so.

Anyway screenshot time. Hope you like it.

---EDIT---
I still have to learn the basics of Mudbox.
So this is just some basic stuff...

Thanks man i appreciate it!
(man just love your forum name and the picture, did you made it yourself?)

Anyway also glad you liked the model!
I am still working on it! Been a few days that i was working on this one.
The high poly is almost finished! So i hope i can post some high-low poly screenshots soon.

---EDIT---
And you are right about buying Maya Zbrush etc..
It would be no logic if people didnt bought those programs, but still wanted to move along with 3d gaming design etc.

You dont have to be rich to buy one of these programs.
If you are trying to look for an future in this industry.
Than its neccessary to buy one of these programs.

i am one of the lucky ones here on the forum ,i own 3ds max 8 & photoshop cs2 i bought them a few years ago for a project my company was working on (i had a guy working for me who ruled at 3d )when he finished they were left in a draw in my office ,after all the money i spent on it i thought it was a waste to leave them there so i started to play with them .now a year later i think it was some of the best money ive ever spent ,ive had hours of fun playing with them & get a huge amount of satisfaction from modeling & have even made a small amount of money from selling my work .

the moral of this story not everyone on this forum is a 12 year old kid playing with pirate software .

keep up the good work Cheese Cake & dont let one comment get you down

cheers henry

Actually he needs some eyes...I always forget something in my models...And i just noticed it now.
So thanks for saying, now i have to do some changes to the high poly. And! The low poly.
