i want to game.
Yes i can....but i dont have you in my list?
Or did you wanted to add me on msn?

Anyway fine by me.....

Also everyone....maybe this is a good idea...maybe not.
But! I had this idea, since the new "creature" looks alot like
my first one (Soulless Warrior)...
I thought...hey!?!....why not make this the new mesh.
And new basic model for the soulless warrior.
So i can give the other away...with the soulless one of course.
And if everything goes well, then i also could upload the berserker.
With a new biped. for free!
I just wanted to hear your opinion on this.

---EDIT---
Also...almost forgot to say...but!
I have another idea for a model...well actually the idea isnt mine.
Its a model based on the Bioshock character...(the big one)
This is mostly for learning some tricks, on both
modeling and texturing.
Right now i am modeling the helmet, trying to add some details to it.

Hope you like the deal!

Cheers,
Cheese Cake.

Mine is [email protected]. Make sure when you make the "big daddy" like guy make sure to add your own elements so its not just like the bioshock one.

om...my...god....
that organ monster thing you r making is......AWSOME
just i think you should add some teeth into the mouth but.....
this creature is one of your best works....just plain awsome
you should definitly continue it, like make more details or other stuff on it, and....include it...it is just plain awsome (i said that already but its true)
oh and can u put in more pic (alot more pics)
thanks

ps cant wait for the pack to come out

john schwarcz.
Thanks glad you liked it!
I will add more details to it later...add somewhat more scars.
Of course its still W.I.P....so you can excpect that the finished
will have muscles on the texture, also some weird sort of
encryption... on its body....like a tattoo made of blood?

Right now i am finalizing the texture just a little...
Also made some stitches...etc...

Oh yeah and...
Here is a new screenie of the based Bioshock model!
I am actually pretty proud of this one...
The mesh itself is better then the other ones...
is more animation friendly.
Also polygons are 1084!
But have to add some details to it like....
Tanks on his back, or an expansion for his suit etc.

Hope you like it!

Cheers,
Cheese Cake.

cool, the model suit thing ur making looks pretty cool, what r u gonna make it like, zombieish with glowing eyes? alien and all tech? or just normal? (i suggest the zombieish ) so yea oh and ur picture with revsaw had the chainsaw looking wierd like it had none of the metal blades, what's with that?
like i said before ur new zombie is awsome and so is ur bioshock creation
so when u next post fill me up on whats goin on thanks

ps have u heard of the fpsc x10, if u did will these b compatable with it ?

i want to game.
Thanks man!

Inspire.
Thanks! Pretty proud of this one so....

john schwarcz.
Quote: "what r u gonna make it like"

Based on the Bioshock one...so probably a rusted metal suit.
No...its not gonna be all zombie with tentacles etc...
Quote: "chainsaw looking wierd like it had none of the metal blades"

Of course not....or else it would cost a lot of polycount...
So i basically did that with the normal map.
Quote: "ps have u heard of the fpsc x10"

No whats that? Just joking...
Yep...or at least i hope i can make them compatible....
Since these were mainly designed for x10...well the newer ones that is.

Quote: "freaky little girl like from "fear""

Well i guess its your lucky day....i already had a job for
a little girl...possibly covered in blood....
But well....cant start it today...so...have to go to work.

Anyway progress without screens...
I have started the UV-mapping on the Bioshock one...
And untill now its going pretty well...
Also had to add somewhat more polys to it...
But in the end....i hope it would look fine.

Cheers,
Cheese Cake.

And!
Dont know if anyone is reading this thread.
But....quoted from myself.
Quote: "I thought...hey!?!....why not make this the new mesh.

So i can give the other away...with the soulless one of course.

With a new biped. for free!"

If no one is interested...then these will basically be deleted.
Since i have to tweak the model a bit...and assign a new biped to it.
But if no one wants them...then i wouldnt have to work on that.
So is anyone interested?

Cheers,
Cheese Cake.

In the shot ,the thumb is a bit short, perhaps the fingers as well, but the thumb is for sure. Im glad you are posting shots before skinning so one can see if they need anything, one can sometimes overlook stuff, Ive done it many times myself.

fallen one.
Dont worry thats just from that angle.
But thanks for saying cause now i know that the tumb was
a little bit to thin...

Mr Flowerkohl.
Yeah... i needed to fix a few things since it was all messy when i imported it.
Probally something happened with the importer...
Anyway... i still need to fix the model itself a little
but i am trying to keep it the way you have modeled it.
Also what biped do you want it to have?

Oh and as for the small character pack...
Is there only 1 interested?

Cheers,

"Oh and as for the small character pack...
Is there only 1 interested?"

Thats because the other guys sit in front of their pc, with their
mouths opened wide up and cant realise you want to release some
of your work. I believe they will be interested too...
just let them sit and stare some time...
the point why i am the first whos interested, is because i live in europe and we are 6 hours earlier than the USA. ive got sitting
and staring done ^^

okay, to the model.
What was messed up ? the only thing i realised when exporting
from XSI to another format, the model is waaayyy too small. The
fpsc scaling is compared to XSI`s scaling monstrous !

To the biped, nice would be the zombie biped from model pak2,
the one not lying on the ground. i think zizaco used this biped
for his zizombie character,too.
just...zombie style

Cant wait to texture it
many many thanks to you ! Great youre helping me !

Cheers

yeah...thats the ticket !

Quote: "i didnt understand r u making the floating who or no?"

I already answered that question....
Quote: "Nope i cant"

Quote: "so i didnt undertstand what u wrote about the chainsaw and mapping thingy? "

Like i said....also with that question....
Nope you cant......its part from the model
so cant be pulled of.

Quote: "1 are u going to make any weopons"

Nope i am not going to make weapons.

Quote: "and 2 what new models do u plan on making"

New models for the old ones.
(soulless one, berserker, and maybe corpse eater.)

And as for 3....
I'll post screenies when i have made some progress or!
When i have some new monsters.

Mr Flowerkohl.
Quote: "the point why i am the first whos interested, is because i live in europe and we are 6 hours earlier than the USA. ive got sitting

Heh heh heh...

Quote: "I believe they will be interested too..."

Dont know actually....havent seen many posts
that said they actually liked the idea....
Since you are the only one who said that.

And as for your model...
Some vertex where all disformed...and some where floating.
So basically it was like the whole model was ripped apart by something.
But i have almost figured thing out...
Will post screenshots in your thread when its done.

Hey Cheese Cake, uh, I'm taking off the MP's for now, but might put 2 and 4 back on later, no more MP5, according to what I've heard of that pack it messes things up for most people who had it. I don't know if it makes a difference, but will these characters work fine with V1, if so, well, I don't know if your doing requests but I have some cool idea and would like to share them with you in case you want to do 'em. Here they are:

A reptalian beast that goes on all fours andjust bites you as it's attack, maybe kinda jumps up a little and gnashes at ya. Like the ones in Quake 4.

Something like the Harvesters in Prey would be cool. They're alien from the waist up. Just like a human except brown, and they're head looks kinda bug like. From the waist down they're like mechanical spiders.

And if that last one is to complex, just, spider's that would be about 4 ft tall in real life, and half organic half mechanical.

Yeah, that's all my ideas right now. I saw a pic of a character your doing that looks almost like the Strog, is that one finished, I don't think I've seen a finished pic of it.

So yeah, anyway, keep it up, these models are awesome and I can't wait for them to be released.

@ xplosys, what are you talking about, I didn't dis anyones work. I'm just saying, lots of people have said that MP5 had some issues, for some,, like you,, didn't have the problem, but some do.
And by "dis someones work", did you mean Cheese Cake, if so, dude, I complimented his stuff, they're the best character models i've seen, better than the stock by far, while the stock ones are very, very cool, CC's are awesome. I'm not really sure what your sayin. What did I do wrong. All I've done is compliment his models and share some of my ideas, I don't see how anything I've done was bad or dissing anyone.

xplosys & troy...
Its okey. didnt minded the messed up thread thingy...
Cause it wasnt bad or such...or wrong.

Uhhmmm Troy.
Most of your requests would be possible....but not for me...
Maybe the mesh.(model) and texturs...but not as for the
animations.
That would require a greater user, which is known with animations.
But!
Quote: "Hey Cheese Cake, uh, I'm taking off the MP's for now, but might put 2 and 4 back on later, no more MP5, according to what I've heard of that pack it messes things up for most people who had it."

I honestly didnt understood what that meant...
Or at least....i dont know what this has to do with the models...
If you are asking if they work fine with MP5....than yes.
I dont have any problems with MP5... it works great!
And is a great pack.

Also...if these characters will work for v1....uhm
dont know actually....have to test them i think.

Cheese Cake.

I use 3ds, but i assure you it isnt only because of the program.
You could easily make this in any other program.

Thanks all for the nice comments!

Also i have this new idea for a "multi" character.
But as i am still working on some models for Astek, (which are almost finished)
I would have to do that first, before i go on the new ones.

Anyway.....a sort of sneak preview of the upcoming model...
the texture size needs to be 2048x2048...for special reasons.
It would use Alpha maps, think about Jon's Juggernaut...(the retextures on the shoulder pads)
Well anyway those were enough hints...

I hope this works, and if it does....than i am just so glad
that it did work.

Stay tuned!

Cheers,
Cheese Cake.

Thanks Cheese Cake, yeah, I guess your right, those are kinda hard, TGC has only done characters that stand on two legs or as far as that skull thing in the ww2 section, float. Getting on allfours and attacking and spider stuff are probably difficult. BioShock character looks awesome, as for that Strog looling character you made, I forget the name, but that is really cool, has it been completed yet. Keep up the good work Cheese Cake.

Troy....
I'll check one day, if the spider in combination with human character works...
If it does...it will be most likelly to walk with 1 side (4 legs)...
after another...
So see it like this...
It will take 1 step with 4 legs...so nothing different than human walking...
Only that it will have 4 legs.

Cheers,
Cheese Cake.

Its basically, a re-edit of the Bioshock-dude...
Just deleted some parts, and added some stuff to it.

Well anyway hope you like it!

---EDIT---

Polygons: 1316.
Texture size: 1024x1024.
