Hmmm, thanks for the points.

I think lolipop has some issues but most phones get a speed increase with it thanks to the new ART runtime

You could also just use blender, it can do everything except for the trigger regions.

Yup, that is actually what I'm using right now! But it would be nice to be able to build the levels directly inside of Unity.

Last night I had a dream that Yodaman Jer (or someone similar) and I were at some sort of swimming pool resort, and we were going around looking for caffeine pills. We kept going into other peoples' belongings to find such pills, and people never did mind. Eventually we found a bunch of caffeine pills, and Yodaman passed out, fell down some stairs, and landed on top of a tourist's dining table from eating too many. Odd dream.

So I have been having some issues with my router where the password I set for the control panel kept being reset. Today I read a forum post saying that "because of recent reports of security issues with ISP issued routers, my ISP has implemented a feature which resets the password to something printed on the device if it is changed." Aparently having passwords that can't be changed, are physically printed on the device and most likley in some database somewhere is safer than letting a user change the password.

Nope, but it looks really cool!

Except that IMO Blender is pretty poor for level editing. The camera system is just not well-suited. Level-editing needs a flying first-person camera that uses WASD, like Unity's.

You should use Windows. Wait, why do you even want to install Skype? Skype's rubbish.

Did I tell you all I finally got a Wacom Intuos Pro Medium?? It's awesome. Gonna practise my drawing tonight and when I can draw cool stuff I'll show y'all

OH and I'm buying the parts to build a 3D printer! Woohoo! Well, I'm buying half and my parents are buying the other half (not actually sure why they agreed to do that so readily... should I be suspicious..? nah, I'm sure they're not planning anything...).

Right, off to learn to use the right side of my brain!

I've built levels with Blender before, while I agree the camera system isn't as nice when compared to that of an actual level editor, it does offer a lot more options.

Plus (as long as you're talented enough) you can UV map and texture directly in Blender, save it as just a regular .blend file, and then import it into Unity directly. Create your texture materials in Unity, apply to the objects and wahlah, instant level!

I do still want ProBuilder, though, just so it could all be done in one environment.

The problem with that is when you end up switching from Unity to something bigger and better in the future, converting your models is going to be a hassle. It's good to have them in a universal format to begin with.

I had this issue with PonyCraft when I was porting it to C++. I only possessed the directX model files of everything, and I had to go through a lot of pain to get them converted to an ogre3d mesh.

Indeed.

Say I start a project in Unity but realize it would be better suited in Unreal (for whatever reason). It would be super easy to just re-export the native blend file as an FBX and it would take almost no time at all!

I'm actually going to try out running a Windows VM on a Linux host soon. KVM is pretty good at PCIe passthrough so hopefully my performance isn't hit too hard. If it's usable, then I'll switch over to Linux whole-hog(slowly of course).

you can move with wasd and steer with mouse

Oh I know, but it's a really terrible flying mode. Instead of the mouse directly controlling the rotation of the camera, the cursor position controls the speed of rotation. Like an aeroplane camera or something. It's not a proper FPS camera and it's really impractical.

I tried the flying mode in Blender and was extremely disappointed in it.

I have decided I will buy ProBuilder sometime soon. I've seen too many videos of what people can do with it. I would stick with Blender but here's why I want ProBuilder over anything else:

- Automatic UV Projection, makes tiling textures much easier
- Setting trigger/collision zones
- Don't have to leave Unity and open Blender to redesign a misalligned column (or some such like that)
- Great texturing/UV editing tools built-in
- Makes life much easier

Perhaps. I do know that when they did upload all of the images, there were a few slots that remained empty, and a few images that didn't get uploaded. Maybe yours was one of them? Bummer, because I do like yours a lot.

That must be it, however that's the only site that seems to mention it, and it's not included on the official soundtrack. However, the years match up and it easily could have been used briefly in the background. It was either that or some other 80s movie I saw in the last year or two (which is lots, really ).
