These two videos make me want to learn the piano. Ever since starting the guitar, I've suddenly gained a much better understanding of music and also how to learn to play instruments. If I had more spare time on my hands I'd learn all the instruments I could (and practise all day!), starting with guitar and piano - as it is I barely have enough time to practise guitar... I've always been jealous of Bill Bailey's ability to play a large variety of instruments, and Mum and Dad are both very much into music and musical instruments.

3:23am and I am still not tired

WHAT SORCERY IS THIS?!

Anyway, I made a short video about my GTA V... adventures. It was mostly a test I wanted to do with my Tascam DR-100MK2 recorder, which actually sounds really, really good (and would have sounded better if I had more oomph in my voice to give).

it's rendering, and will be posted shortly! Probably just int ime for me to leave for work.

EDIT: Oh wow it's gonna take about 90 minutes to upload... apparently my upload speed is ridiculously slow, like ~2.0 Mbps.... I'm used to three and it makes a difference!

It will literally just be done as I'm getting to work so you guys will have to wait to watch it until I'm off.

Mmm, that sounds fun. Happens to me sometimes if I stay up really late (like 1am) then I often can't go to sleep. Never that much, though - it normally just takes me half an hour longer than usual, but I still go to sleep.

Now I fell tired... now that it's too late to fall asleep.

I'll be fine, it's a short work day so it should all be good. I'll just nap when I get home later (or sleep through to the next day haha ).

At the most I would have only gotten about two hours' sleep tonight, which really would have felt much worse than just staying up all night.

I actually was asleep earlier from about 10:15 to 11ish, but I woke up right about at 11 and couldn't fall back asleep. I tried every trick I know and it just wasn't working. Sometimes my body is just cruel to me.

EDIT: Ah ha, 530 exactly and the video is finished!

Been there. Not fun!

Gahhh, why are so many video players so bad? At least YouTube is actually decent now... Anyway, JW Player (seen it around in various places on the web) has this stupid little volume control thingy. It doesn't actually adjust the volume until you let go of the mouse, so you can't get the volume adjusted quite perfectly. Minor little issue, but still. Also, the stupid thing decided to completely unbuffer and begin reloading when I moved the video slider back to the start. Pffffffffffffffffffffffft!

I made it through the day! Nap time

EDIT: A three hour nap is the best thing I've ever done with my life.

That video I made well over 14 hours ago seemed a lot funnier to me when I first made it... it is entirely too long, in fact I thought I cut out more than I did. No wonder it took so long to upload!

And for some reason it exported at a ridiculously high bitrate so it was 1.1GB when really, it should have only been about 300MB at the most...

So after my three hour nap yesterday (from 2pm to just after 5pm), I ate dinner, and promptly went to bed at 7:30pm, after watching some Big Bang Theory on TBS (needed something to lull myself back to sleep with ). I woke up naturally at 2:19am, feeling very well rested and like I could have gotten up at that time, but decided to "sleep in" until 4:45am.

I feel fantastic and like the world will be mine today! Hahahahaha

We normally upload at least 1GB videos for Flash Buddies. They're generally 700MB - 3GB for a 15-25 minute video depending on how much action there is (we use vbr) - we just upload overnight so we're not waiting around all day for the upload to finish

--------------------------------------

Anyone else been watching Humans? We've watched the first three episodes so far and we love it. It's a brilliant British sci-fi. Seriously. Watch it.

Now all we have to do is hope the quality doesn't drop off terribly like Falling Skies did (although so far Humans shows no signs of degrading ).

xD I half want to laugh, half want to face palm. Just the nature of it all. Bbbblasted dandy image that is.

Agh! Certain websites annoying the Slim Jims out of me when they load. YouTube for example; I might load a channel page, then see a link I would like to click, then click there. Problem is, right as a click, the page is still loading, and another link, which I don't want, pops right under my mouse; that link gets clicked instead. Other websites I have seen, like ehow, the entire page reorganizes and several elements completely disappear and reappear while the page is loading. Grrrrrrrr!!!!!!!

*sigh*

All the reviews of the Fury X on YouTube say that for a change, Nvidia's 980Ti is a much better deal. It's performance=per-dollar value is just better all around, it's much more energy efficient, and extremely overclockable (the Fury X apparently doesn't like to be clocked more than 1100MHz, whereas the 980Ti can apparently be overclocked to somewhere around 1450MHz!).

Never thought I'd see the day where Nvidia would be a better value for a change.

Fury X isn't able to overvolted yet, so it can't properly be overclocked compared to the 980Ti. So on that count at least that comparison is flawed.

Two things:

1) I bought A Song of Ice And Fire (the series of books that spawned the Game of Thrones TV series) in a brand new, expensive ($68) box set. I'm hoping they won't be as excessively pornographic as the TV series, but I shall soon find out. Update: Read the first chapter, already excited to keep reading!
2) Our latest Flash Buddies video is up!

I've always wanted a smart watch and I just bought an LG G Watch R (direct from Google, no less)! Woo! So excited for it to arrive! I love having consistent and constant work (I mean I don't, but I love the money) because it means I can just decide to buy a very expensive ($300) luxury item

It's set me back a week before I can afford a Volkswagen Golf as my first car, though... need about $3500 before I can go car shopping

For anyone using Yahoo Mail and who can't manage to block the latest top-of-your-inbox ad with Adblock or Adblock Plus, use the following custom filter (apparently doesn't work for people in certain regions - more info here):

Oh, and if you haven't already realised, you can use Adblock Plus to block the stupid, annoying date separators that Yahoo decided, in their infinite stupidity, that we wanted.

Wow. I just spent $200 on a pair of bluetooth earbuds. That, along with my recent $300 G Watch R purchase, brings my spendings on totally unnecessary items to $500! Ah! I'm genuinely not sure what my parents will say when I refuse to tell them how much I spent on those two items (when they arrive in the mail) - they're going to be somewhat horrified at the very least... but it is my money after all, so they can go jump

Latest Flash Buddies video is up!

Also, I passed my full license test today first go I could have gone for the test several months ago (i.e. when I turned 20) but the only real limitation with the P2 license is that I can't go 110 and there's no freeways around here (which have 110 speed limits) so there wasn't much point. At least now I can drive without P-plates on

EDIT: To anyone on the PostComp that watches our videos - what is it you like about them? Is it the game itself or the chatter between us? 'Cuz when I watch Hat Films or Yogscast videos I watch them (normally) for the humour.

So I think the only development tools I want installed on my system right now are Unreal and AGK.

I want to make my game with Unity because I spent money on a few decent assets, however they still need upgraded to work properly with Unity 5 and I'm growing tired of waiting!

Besides, you can't really beat Epic's features in Unreal that Unity still lacks to this day. And programming with Blueprints is just too much fun.

I had a dream last night that I picked up an R9 390X and it was a stunningly beautiful card. Despite it being yet another rebrand, reviews for it have very high praise. $430 for a significantly more powerful card than my 280X sounds a lot better and easier to save up than, say, a Fury X or 980ti.

But I shouldn't be focusing on saving up for a GPU since I should probably start saving up for something more important in life - a car. And an engagement ring for the gf someday. ALthough I s'pose I could pop the question with a ring pop...

That's what I'm trying to do but expensive things that I realise I want keep jumping out in front of me Honestly, every few days I remember something else that I've always wanted to buy but couldn't because I didn't have the money for it. Now that I have a job, I'm just buying all those things I've always wanted

Next I'm considering whether I should start the gun-license-obtaining process... always wanted a .22 and a nice new air rifle

Right from the Coca Cola Company website:
Quote: "glacéau vitaminwater has always been a simple idea. start with water. and then add bold, fruity flavors and just the right amount of sugar to make it delicious. finally, top it off with a little extra nutrition. genius. and it never would’ve happened if someone hadn’t looked at a plain bottle of water and said, “what if this was a little better?” making things a little better is what makes glacéau vitaminwater great.

glacéau vitaminwater, the pioneer of the nutrient-enhanced water beverage category, is available in over 26 countries. grab a cold vitaminwater and make your day a little better. Also available with no calories in many countries—glacéau vitaminwater zero."
Seems they forgot about capitalization! Things like that shouldn't happen when it's the largest soft drink manufacturer in the world. Oh well.

Also, wiki.answers' website is terrible. Just felt like throwing that out there today.
