I added you as randi_middleton and left you a message. I reckon you saw the little window pop up, and you pointed at it and laughed and got loads of people to gather round and told them you weren't going to reply and you were going to play a little game and tease me and be cruel because you're so nasty. You know it's true!!! Why is everyone so mean to me?!?!?!

rofl! It's alright. I might not be a work of art, but I'm not embaressed about having my photo on a forum. So long as I don't weigh a metric ton, nor have 4 arms, I reckon people can't complain. Besides - this is a programming forum. You expect high standards?

You know if you had a thin mustache and beard you could look like Anton Lavey.
With your shaved head and dark clothes with colar.
Either him or Nosferatu.

I'M KIDDING!!! I'M KIDDING!!! I'M KIDDING!!! I'M KIDDING!!!

No, I think you are cute.
And what I think is the only thing that matters.

Unfortunately I have no idea who either of those people are. Anton is obviously some mental French chef, and Nosferatu sounds like an asian version of syphillis!

lmao ... so you'll be wanting a room for 2 then

Mate, it'll have to be a large room with well built walls and rock hard bed springs, I tell you. A couple of pre-drilled hooks in the ceiling for sex harnesses, some wide girth glory holes and KY on tap, and I think that room will just about be properly prepared.

heheheh.

Now... remember I was kidding!!!
I just said that because of your shaved head.
You really don't look like either one.

But Anton Lavey is the founder of the Church of Satan and the author of the Satanic Bible.

I can't believe you people don't know who it is.
I guess I am just old.
But he is supposed to be the in the picture, on the album cover, of The Eagles Hotel California.
But I guess you don't know who The Eagles are.
And probably don't know what an album is.

Any way...
I am NOT a satanist, but here is the link...

lol... i know who the eagles are but i only have like copies of the LPs and tapes - my dad's got most of the originals.
though really i only have a passing interest in them, i mean they're not really my time.

and never really cared to find out information about satan or satan worshipping or anything like that... always seemed more of a goth thing - although ya know i don't believe that Lucifer should be given as much stick as he has in the Bible & that he was given the name satan ... i mean if you read what is wrote about him you'll see that he was just really like an adverage guy - got to rule to world, though "eh up i think i could nick this from Jovah whilst he ain't looking" ... i mean classic case of wanting to be the tog dog rather than the second in command. No shame in it, not like he caused all the evil as it was all there before jovah even gave Lucifer the earth to manage

(sorry i know i have a weird take on the bible, but it makes more sense to me this way)
ain't to say i'm like a christian nut or something - but i am quite religious in my own way

Well, I know this may come to a shock to many Americans, but me, and most of my generation in the UK, have no belief in god whatsoever. My belief extends as far as believing there might possibly be a higher entity, but for religious people to think they have any comprehensive of it in anyway shape or form is cack!

you read the bible though mate? ... its got a boring begining but gets interesting around Exudos and the Job chapter is blinding.

if you think of it all as a Hollywood remake like some blockbuster similar to LOTR (i'm gonna get linched i can just see it, 20 christians are gonna bash down my book and beat me with thier bibles in the name of love & peace) ... well you keep that in mind it suddenly becomes a quality story, kinda like that film "The adventure of Baron Munchousen" i loved that film, it was so weird, yet so cool

The only problem there is that generally I dont read. I know its supposed to expand the mind, but if my mind was expanded any further, my head would probably explode. I tried to get into it when I was a kid, but it hurt my eyes a lot. Now all the people I know who read loads of contacts or glasses, and I have neither, so I reckon it was a lucky escape!!

Still, I'm sure the bible is a good read - I mean, it has to be really, but I'd find it a bit daunting. Maybe a Beano comic is more to my size.

Not to get into a religous debate but...
Satanism has nothing to do with the devil.

Quote: "The reality behind Satan is simply the dark evolutionary force of entropy that permeates all of nature and provides the drive for survival and propagation inherent in all living things. Satan is not a conscious entity to be worshipped, rather a reservoir of power inside each human to be tapped at will. Thus any concept of sacrifice is rejected as a Christian aberration—in Satanism there’s no deity to which one can sacrifice."

so really what your talking about is Chi/Ki? the unbridled power within the spirit or soul that give everyone that pure will and power to fight simply for the right to live

and if that is what it is then actually Satan would have ALOT to do with Lucifer, or the Devil as it were would be quite correct ... i mean if you understand the ungiven of it all then the Lucifer staves off Jovah from the earth for 2 reasons, one of which is because he can take on the embodiment of this Ki energy

see i don't know an aweful lot about much of the western takes on alot of this stuff ... so devil worshipping, satanism and such are all just foreign to me - however that said, there are still seeming rituals and such within it ... perhaps it isn't worshipping the devil or such, but it is still alot of things with each of these darker cultures which just appitimises the darker side of the human existance.

and to be honest even with a light finish, people who follow jovah fully are also edged with a thier darker nature... they're just more brainwashed than seduced but what is offered - on one side you have the lambs to the slaughter giving up thier being for someone to use because they think they're doing good and on the other side you have people doing it more for thier own seeming benifits.

the souls energy can lead to alot of things, but allowing yourself to be a pawn in a war that has been ragining for billions of years just ain't my thing - don't care what finish people put on it (^_^)

(i did mention i have a unique idea of religion and stuff didn't i?)

Ok, the way I understand Satanism is they don't beleave in the devel, nor do they worship him, else they'ld be Christain. They don't beleave in religion, yet still call their beliefs a religion. They're nothing more than aggressive atheists, and they bug the piss out of me. I may not like certain religions, but I don't go out of my way to try and disprove them, which is all these "Satanists" do.

that would make no sense, because if what Randi says is right then thier whole "religion" would have a firm basis within something that would infact prove the existance of some form of god or larger entity, because there would need to be a common bond.

but i don't care, ya know officially i'm a Jedi
and not like some nerd who knows all of the facts about everything and read 6million books on it that jacks off to princess leia pictures ... or the other kinda person who is just in it cause he thinks its cool to tell his mates.

i just sat down one day when i heard they were making it an official religion and looked up some stuff ... none of the other religions really called to me to want to be one.

i mean i'm not by far a Christian because i'm just not good-hearted enough to be one really, nor could i fake wanting to be one just for it. (if you think about it God'll know if your trying to pull one over on him)
alot of the other religions have strick rules about meat/praying/not eating ... so that kinda cuts out alot of them.

you then have buddism which to be honest just doesn't appeal to me because suffering is existance, so to stop suffering you must become one with suffering and there you'll find your inner peace - but that said, i'm not a peaceful person and i don't like to suffer for anything. If i come back as a grass hopper for that karma then so be it! i'll have a short or long life (which is still short) die as a good hopper and come back up the ladder.
(though to be honest i think its kinda arrogant to assume that being human is the top karma you can have hoped for)
hindu just is too weird for my tastes
i can't be like sataist cause to be honest i don't have a clue what its about and come i see its pretty weird for people with depression ... and i can't be anything to do with the devil because i won't kill/hurt/main anything in the name of anyone - not without just cause,
i.e. someone killed my son, then i'd quite happily top them ... but thinking about it i'd probably crippled them in such a way that doesn't kill them but make them have a long an painful existance. Why the hell should the truely evil people get away scot free.
and i can't be an athist because i do believe in jovah, just not quite in the way that other religions would like me to.

as i said i've got a weird old take on religion, and i live my life how it suits me and not just on the surface but right down to my very core ... being a jedi doesn't pigeon hole me, it allows me to follow the teachings that i like and live my life being who i want to be than wanting to change me into something just to be more pure.

i've been asked many times, why would you want to live a life that doesn't allowed you to get into heavan and live for eternity.
and there is only one answer that i know to that,

if you live your life as a lie to enable you to be somewhere for eternity yet you still have to live by those rules then really that lie will eventually catch you up and thinking that as soon as your in heavan you can do whatever you like would be another lie of its own. So really you've ended up in hell, with no escape because it is life eternal.
i would rather die having lived for a spec in reality and actually living as myself and being who i choose to be not what the molds for people are ... for in the end all you have is your identity and originality, when you clone yourself into a mold set within relgious text then your not making the world a better place your just making it the same. If there was a world full of me then that would be a hell in its own because the originality and that little bit of specialness that made my life unique would be lost.

there is a difference between what is right and wrong - however that difference is justified by the morals bestowed by who you define yourself. sure there is a law of the land which tells you what is wrong and right, your being forced to conform to these rules but this is just to keep order ... and religion is exactly the same way a law to make everyone the same, treated equal and act equal so that you can be peaceful. Peace is not worth loosing who you are though.

hehe (^_^) ... sadly it only scratchs the surface mate, think it takes a rare talent to scare Johovah's Witness' away - hehee

ya know if people get offended by someones views of something then really they can't be as open as they'd like to believe hehee - ya know thats always got me, how you can have people preaching that they goto church and that they're like model christians and they love everyone ... then they turn out to be total rascists lol

should be in class learning the words IRONIC and MESAMONIC
hehee

ya ever see that simpsons where Disc Stu is let into heavan and John Travola is like "Aww, St Peter i thought you said you were all full?"
some reason whenever i picture heaven i always think of me getting the VIP treatment, wisked in past the crowd cause like i know the doorman or something. Have god on the other side like waving over "yeah, he's cool" hehee

man just think how freaky my imagination would be if i did drugs lol

I'm not about to get into a religious debate either.
I don't really care one way or the other what someone believes.

Any way...
I went and saw "The Pirates of the Caribbean"
That's a pretty good movie.
The effects are great and it has a really good look to the whole movie.
And Orlando Bloom and Johnny Depp are sooooo...
Well you know how girls feel about them.

i never understood the Johnny Depp thing, personally i think he's an ugly f**ker
but i can understand with Orlando ...

saw a few adverts for that recently, any it reminded me of Monkey Island hehee - probably because the pirate captain is a ghostie ... and he looks so much like LeChuck!

probably wont' end up seeing it though no one hardly ever comes to the flicks with me, and i can't go on my own ... i mean thats just kinda sad.

I did see Pirates of the Caribbean as well and it was an excellent movie. It was funny to see some of the disney rides features in the movie too. Before i saw it I did read an article about how Jony Depp had freedom to create the way his character acted.

“After I read the script, I was trying to figure out what pirates were like in the 18th century,” recounts Depp. “I thought, ‘What would be the equivalent today?’ Pirates of the 18th century were really the rock and roll stars of that era, so I just started thinking about rock and roll stars. Who’s the greatest and coolest rock and roll star? To me, it was Keith Richards. Keith is pretty piratey, so Keith became the main ingredient.”

Depp felt comfortable using Richards as his guide for the character because the two do know each other. “I’ve spent time with him and his family, over the years,” says Depp. “He’s a great man. He’s an amazing, wise, beautiful guy. So, there was the Keith element, but then there was a cartoon character that somehow stayed in my head, that I thought would be good for the character -- Pepe Le Pew, the skunk.”

When I saw the movie thats all that stayed in my head..and laughed when Depp's character did something even though he was comical without knowing that bit of info... but to me it seemed funnier.

I am the game and I want to play.

Yes... Depp's pirate character was very good.
And I don't know what a 'plonker' is, but he's not one.
And he is far from ugly too.
A little on the short side, but he is very cute.
Now Orlando on the other hand...
He is just absolutely FINE!!!

Any way...
The movie was very good and funny.
And the part with the jail and the dog, from the ride, was great.
You could tell how many people, in the theater, knew where that was from.
(I had to tell the guy I was with. )

Well worth the money.
And again the ghost special effects were truely amazing, and a breath of fresh air.
But what else would you expect from ILM?

... and that just is depressing, about the height - i think i'm shorter than him gah, i think i'm gonna eat a tub of icecream, or mixx it in with some guiness...

maybe just have the guiness on its own... but the icecream does sound like a good idea too ... hmmm

but ILM did the movie? hmm, no wonder it looks like LeChuck - LucasFilms own ILM hehee (the connections hit pretty quite)

No, she does! Her yahoo profile says "single and looking" and some of the things she's said to me!! Bloody hell! I'm a pretty dirty little bastard, but those words she uses - I don't think I'll ever be able to sleep again! hehe

And Randi, you know I'm an innocent lad really, so the only words you could use for me would be along the lines of "sweet cherrub".

Yes Arrow, Depp is an amazing actor.
I can think of a few more movies with him where he has brought a new character to the screen.
Sleepy Hollow and From Hell I thinks it was called.
The one about Jack the Ripper.

And everyone...
Fallout is lieing.
I didn't say anything to him.

personally i agree with fallout, whilst he ain't a bad actor he just doesn't stand out - which really is worse than not being bad in the film industry.

i mean he isn't like always in the news for new drug charges or loosing his temper, he isn't exactly someone with a bad personality, ya know he is an overall fairly cool guy and he's pretty good in the cinema ... but nothing that really make him stand out enough for me to be able to sit and list his films.
he's more a name without a face in hollywood - which is why he doesn't get the BIG roles ever.
there was a time when he did, but now he kinda ends up being someone quite meager.

perhaps he needs some je ne cest quoi eh

He needs a kick up the backside and a new haircut! Being a good actor or not, I think, is in someways a matter of opinion, sinse everyone knows their character is not genuine, so it's how convinced you are. Randi and Arrow are convinced by his performances, and me and Raven are kinda impartial, so there ya go.

As for who to believe, me or Randi? She, as in a girl, said she beat me, as in a boy, at a computer game. I think that says it all.

Ok...Ok here is the truth.
Me and Fallout were playing the yahoo fighter game.
I was beating him left and right.
He started getting annoyed at it.
So I started letting him win, because that's what girls do.
Let guys win.

I dunno, my girl kicks my ass at Soul Calibur everytime.

She won't play anything but cutesy games or fighting games, so FPS games (my forte) get left behind and I'm left with a gloating woman phoning all her mates to tell them about my ass kicking.

Actually the yahoo fighter game is all based upon luck.
And Fallout beat me at it.
I just keep trying to push his buttons, but his buttons are broke.
I have yet to get a rise out of him.
But I haven't given up.
He has a weakness and I will find it!!

You know, actually I don't like playing video games.
I like making them, but they get boring to play after awhile.
I think maybe I have 5 games on my computer.
A couple are not even mine, they are my nephews.

I'm the opposite Randi. I too get bored of games really quickly, so to counter act that I buy a load. I never complete games - not because I can't, just because I get bored of them. Lets look at the ones nearby on the desk ...

Swat 2 - Shitty budget game. Only ever loaded it once. Crap.
Dawn Of the Dead ..... that's a movie. Next.
Training Day ... see above.
Medieval Total War - Wicked game. I am an elite general. Played Shogun a load, so not so much excitement in thus one for me.
Soldier Of Fortune 2 - Played it once.
Carmageddon TDR2000 - Pretty good. Played a couple of times.
Severance Blade Of Darkness - Awesome game, but when you get to the later levels where the monsters keep respawning behind you, it just gets totally shit, so I stopped playing that on principle. Crap ending to a wicked game.
Mafia - I did complete this one, but that's purely because its easy, short, and the story line is engrossing. Its like watching a movie.
Sacrifice - Budget. Never even installed it.
Worms 2 - Good for a laugh with some friends.
Colin McRae 2 - Bought on budget for multiplayer. Played it once multiplayer.
Unreal 2 - Completed, but as will all FPS games it was a piece of piss and can't have taken more than 4 or 5 hours in total. Waste of money.
Grand Theft Auto 3 - Never completed but played loads. I lose interest in the missions and just drive about. Good game though.
Homeworld - Played a couple of times.
Warcraft 3 - Played a couple of times but its shit.
Darkbasic Pro - Ooo .. played that a fair few times. Still not completed it yet. Can't figure out what to do in it.
MorrowWind - Really good game to start with, and then you realise it's a totally soulless and shit RPG with no depth to the NPCs, and then you get fed up of it.
Shogun Mongal Invasion - Played a million times with my house mate a couple of years a go at uni. He used to do the stategy and smoke cannabis while I fought the battles and drank beer. Brilliant. Never bothered to complete it though. Battle take too long towards the end.
Vietcong - Has its faults, but wicked multiplayer. Played loads multiplayer. Couldn't be arsed with single player.
Operation Flashpoint - One of the best multiplayer games ever. Nuff said. Never completed single player, cos it takes to long to redo a mission when you die.
Toca 2 - Played a fair amount multiplayer. Completed a championship on expert mode, so YES A GAME I COMPLETED!!!!
Dungeon Siege - Boring now. Completed single player, multiplayer campaigns and all secret locations. Another thoroughly completed game. Definitely got value for money out of that one though.

Thats just the stuff on my desk. Got shelves more behind me. Why was I going through this? Oh yeah - my point ... well my point is, I love games, but only the rare few are worth completing because they offer something great - the rest you just complete because you havent got bored of the same old thing yet. For me, I get bored of the same old thing really quickly.

ermm .... so what was the whole point of this?

Oh yeah - Randi, no chance. My only weakness is my nutts and they're out of your reach.

not from a psychological nagger kickin'

i'm kinda like that too Randi... i only have like 1 or 2 games on my system at any given time.
though i prefer games that challenge me, as i only get to play games for like an hr maybe less per week - it keeps me interested in a single game for ages.

really i prefer to just crack open something like TR and rather play the game, just mess around in Lara's house for while - just chill out ya know.
been thinking about making an online version just so that you can have the same kinda control system as TR and just walk around a VR world chatting
seems to be what i end up doing with people.
even in JK2 i just go on the server and end up sitting down having a convo with a mate than fighting the newbies - guess older games players are getting wierd nowadays.

Too late. They're called porn sites. I visit the free ones regularly ......... ... ahem.

Actually, Raven, that is a good idea. I know it's not exactly original, but it hasn't been done that much. Things like habbo hotel are shite interactive chat worlds. Someone on DB needs to make a more decent interactive chat world. Make an engine, and instead of then devoting hours and hours to adding quests and story lines etc - just make it a chat engine. I think a 3rd person game, where you can walk around a modestly sized, very simplified world, and chat to people would be good. No fighting, no nothing. Maybe some interaction with certain things like sitting down, opening doors etc, but nothing too heavy. Then it can just be expanded with new versions.

Personally, I'd rather pickle my own tongue than make it, but I'd check it out if anyone else whats to do it. hehe.
