It will have the potential to.

I cannot say for sure at this time, but we ARE planning on implementing all the scripting commands from empty's mod, so that Lemur will be compatible with SenseiAI.

I'm gonna go out on a branch here and estimate anywhere from 2 weeks to 2 years.

But seriously, though, I have no idea when it will be finished. When we start drawing to a close, we will inform everyone.

@Urlforce....

Would it be ok if I sent you an MP level for Lemur's CTF.....

It'll be custom built for CTF, just wondering whether:

A) You want it,

B) V1.07 maps will integrate with Lemur well...

Heres a few screenies. This was NOT just a frag match, the objective is seen on the left hand side of the 1st screeny.

as for the low frame rate, it drops just for a second when you hit printscreen, otherwise I get 45 to 50 fps and thats on my cheapo laptop.

@coffeegrunt
We arent taking maps just yet, this was something I whipped up real quick for our testers.

This just keeps getting better by the minute. I'm feeling compelled to help, but I'm pretty rubbish at scripting (at least for fpsc, it isn't as if I couldn't learn however). But, I can make graphics, models, textures whatever, so if you have any need of that sort of stuff, get in touch.

Well I would defiantly pay $20 but $30-40 is quite costly as like a
lot of people here i don't have much money being a kid and all.

But at the end of the day its your product so charge what you want

Aw man, I'm so sad But get it, I'll lay off the begging.

Lemur is much better than V2 will ever be, because the Lemur team doesn't come in and stamp all over any MP updates like Lee tends to. Also they have added features that V2 won't have such as water currents or setting whether you sink in the water or can swim and bloom. Most importantly IMO they are trying to add Dark AI and weapon swapping, much better weapon accuracy and fire-rate effects and most importantly, realistic shotgun reloading! It's like FPSC X11 for X9

No lie man. Ha Ha.

Hey, Any word of Vehicles in Lemur V3? Maybe bigger map size too. That'd be best to accompany Vehicles.

Are you?

Oh, when you guys work on V3, e-mail me. I can give some great ideas to you guys if you need it. I just gave you three ideas! The melee and grenade thing, Vehicles, and bigger maps! Could I help in the future features department?

Like, help out in concept of how the things should work out and new ideas?

Could I help in that field?

Edit: Also, nice job on the Team DM. And is that green thing CTF?

@OC

I think they'd need to edit the editor to be able to have bigger maps, since that's what you build the map in....

I'm not 100% sure but I thought the map size in the editor was controlled by an external file, so if it is expanded in the engine it can also be expanded in the editor. It might not be that simple though...

Well I think I've had enough of a break, I need to get off my lazy butt and time the explosions already....

One question about the water physics, do dynamic objects 'bob' about on the surface of the water, or are they stationary after they're not affected by the player?

Two questions. Does Lemur require the original FPSC to use? When it is released with the game will it require the original FPSC to use?

Wow, I go away for a few days and we start pointing loaded fingers at each other.

Lol, j/k

@Slayer_2:

It's okay, you're on the list of potential testers SHOULD we need them. One of your quote I found interesting was:
Quote: "Even Airslide couldn't do that."

in reference to vehicles. Funny you should say that, because if vehicles ever do make it into FPSC, I'd want to be the one coordinating it. Don't expect vehicles to be coming around anytime sooner than V4-5, though. (If we get that far, lol)

@Orrion:

You do have some rather interesting ideas. Not sure we need anyone to help out with organising ideas for Lemur. Just know that if it's currently POSSIBLE for a feature to be implemented and it won't require a month's worth of time to put in, we'll consider it.

Right now, everything's already been planned out for the release of Lemur V2.

@TGPEG:

Someone mentioned to me a whileback that having the objects simply bob up and down in the water was a little unrealistic, so i've gone and added "water friction" or drag, which will cause an object to slowly come to a stop in water.

King o' the hill? Niiice! So how is it done? Do you hold the control point until you've aquired the points, or control it for a certain amount of time? Also, will you be able to do a domination type mode like in CoD4? Similar principle, isn't it?

I ask this because I never do classic KOTH. Me want know!!!

Feigning interest since 2005!

Testing list, woot!

Well, I am an Airlside fan, but if you Add vehicles, I'll have to join the Plystire club I'm not expecting vehicles at all. Although real dynamic shadows that aren't glitchy would be much better and more useful IMO. Turrets might be good for FPSC but with only 40x40x20 squares of space and outside lag, vehicles are going to be massive problems.

The water lag sounds so cool. If only Lee and the Lemur team would work together I emailed Lee and he seems so against new features right now. He probably can accurately guess that Lemur would pretty much kill X10's sales

Whats this I hear about a new MP mode? If you reworked the code so you could see other players interacting with the environment in MP, that would be te best. So you can see other players bullet-holes, grenades and when they throw something or open a door. The only game that has physics like FPS that I know is Crysis. And even Crysis's MP doesn't have movable entities.

Is there a possibility I could do something for you guys to trade for a copy of Lemur? I'm only allowed to buy official stuff and since Lee won't even make this a model pack or something I'm kinda screwed. Please?

Aha, but I have infact created a vehicle system in various engines and could no doubt do it in FPSC. However I'm not interested in exerting the amount of effort required to do it

Maybe one day I'll look into putting vehicles in FPSC, or if plystire does it, at least my tank control system.

@Bloodeath:

I got the speedlimit sign thing down... there's one in a shopping center near my house that says "8.5 MPH" I usually play it safe and just go 5

@Slayer_2:

Yes, the game world for FPSC is very small and would not accomodate vehices very well... at this present time... and probably even in Lemur V2. I wouldn't be so sure about Lemur V3, though...

Lol! Is he joking? Is he serious? I dunno! I guess we'll just have to wait and find out.
