This bickering needs to stop now.
Cornett Media,
You seriously need to chill.I have seen you take this course of action in several threads. We all have to coexist together and we all have to put up with little things we don't like. That's life.
There are those who cannot for one reason or another afford to purchase media which is why there are other places you can download free media as well as the free media on these forums.
like...
my site
FPSFree
fps-files
That should get you going on free stuff.
Asking if something is going to be free is senseless. The developer will tell you at some point in time or other if he or she will charge for a product.

Please have mercy and use the search function.

@Molten Ice:

I'll get back to you on that. We're still talking about it.

@Cornett Media:

Currently, here is a list of things you should expect to see in Lemur V2:

- DM, TDM, CTF matches for MP.
- Working Movie Menus
- Control over the Shift key. (Whether you RUN or WALK when holding it down)
- Added scripting commands (courtesy of my old source changes, lol)

That last one on the list can mean a few things to a few people.
1) It should support sensei. (Or as most everyone will recognise... allies)
2) It will allow people to accomplish what I did in my attempt at the Winter Contest. (NightVision effected by lights, Hacking Terminal, etc.)

More things may or may not be implemented, but we'll be sure to keep everyone updated on it.

The one and only,
~PlystirE~

Molten Ice,

The games FPS Creator produces CAN be of commercial quality. You just need to put alot of effort in it from the start.

Urlforce,

Looks nice, but what exactly does it do?

Not really, as it doesn't add most "commercial" game shaders as Fresnel water. Besides, the AI would still be as smart as a piece of cheese.(Unless you use a different AI script.)

It edits the setup.ini and adds in the goodies that Lemur uses so the Lemur engine can run as the user wants it to.

Hey, if you want to implant a timer-based system, give me a hoot, I have a pretty nice one someone gave me awhile back. Should be easy to use, it's just finding all the variables that will be the problem

The list of features that I've found for Lemur V2 are:
Runs any 1.07 map
Darklights Compatible
Sensei Compatible
"ELE" Style Menus (Videos Playing Behind Menu)
RADAR
Average FPS 40 to 45
Faster movement speed to match higher fps
30 Multiplayer Taunts
Comes with a configuration program for the end user(your players) to do the following actions:
Change the color of the RADAR, CHAT, and various other multiplayer huds
Name their multiplayer server
Turn on/off playernames above heads
Edit 1 to 30 taunts for multiplayer
Turn on and off auto weapon switching for when you walk over a weapon
Set the timelimit for chat messages to be displayed in multiplayer
Enable/Disable always run
DM, TDM, CTF matches for MP
Added scripting commands

I'm sure there are more, but these are the only ones that I could find. And then there are those which maybe should wait until they are announced before I put them on here.

You must upgrade FPSC to V1.07 yourself before giving it the Lemur V2 executable.

As an added note, if you DON'T want to upgrade FPSC for making levels you can TRY to use Lemur as a post-build executable and just replace the one after building your game with Lemur's executable. HOWEVER, I am in no way saying that this will not cause any problems, there will most definitally be some unforeseen issues with your game if you try to do this. I am only stating it as a possibility, as I have not tried this myself.

Update:

According to Urlforce, we now have Lemur compiling once again, and the test game issue seems to have gone! So, that's one more thing to look forward to with Lemur, as you should be able to use it AS the FPSC editor engine as well as your final build engine.

I have and you won't like it.If the game is not built with the lemur mod it doesn't function well running it with the Lemur .exe.

@Plystire, if you dont mind me asking. Are you saying that the whole program will be using lemur, And we can use the engine/editor lemur update to build a game, and not have to swap the .exe in the final build folder.
After reading your update comment This sounds even better. I really like that. Having it all in one, well thats if I read it right.
And going off Fred's comment, sounds the way to go.

@deca:

Yes, this means that you should be able to use the Lemur exe as the editor exe, too, and not have to swap out exe's after the build.

Urlforce,
I just got up a little bit ago and I haven't had the chance to play with it very much but I am going to get back on it here in a few.

Edit: Using the compiled Lemur source code and the changes to the setup file things appear to be working.Radar works, weapon switch works.Haven't played with it that much but it's looking sweet.

Please have mercy and use the search function.

I just realised you need DBPro to compile it. There goes that, then.

*deep breath*

What Lemur is, if I'm to read this right, is a modified replacement of FPSC for people who own DarkBASIC Professional. You would basically be replacing the FPSC executables. So, if your signature is right, if I were you, I wouldn't worry too much about it right off hand.

You will NOT, I repeat, NOT need DBPRO to use Lemur. We released the source for people who had already modded FPSC to get the code we had. When Lemur is finished and released it will be out in both compile format for ALL, I repeat ALL fpsc users. There MAY be a source release for DBPRO'ers, we have not worked out those details yet. Lemur is a mod for FPSC, not dbpro, not exclusively for dbpro at all.

Well, basically you have a flag for each team, and the goal is to take the other teams' flags back to your flag to get a point!~

Lol, I bet you already knew that, I'm just messin' with you.

I had an idea that we could read in an optional field in an entity's .fpe file that would determine whether or not that entity would act as a "flag" in a CTF match (ONLY a CTF match). Buuuuut, I can't say that for sure, because we're still discussing the best way to go about it.

it would be interesting to see an objective capture the point type MP option. I don't know if this is possible and im not for one second saying that you guys should do this but a sort of capture all of the enemies flags to win type situation. is it possible? or am i being stupid?

Also is it possible to add recoil to the camera? it just really irritates me that the camera doesn't move when you get hurt or shoot your weapon, would this be able to be fixed, coz that would be awsome!

Can't wait to see a working version of this (compiled and in an EXE) good job guys!

I made these flags for you if you want to have something to test with.
Do whatever you feel with them, sell them, claim them as your own

Its an allied and an axis flag.

BIG Viking Games, Thank you for these flags. They will work perfectly with our CTF plan. The way it might work, is we rig your flags up as weapons, so you see the player running with a flag... And the pickup ability... Thanks from all of us.

Before Fred has a heart-attack, let me try to say this a little differently than others have.

*ahem*

Attention, everyone!

.
.
.

ZOMG! Realistic Water!!!

And before people start saying: "Yeah, we know, big loopy deal, it's just a plain and a simple shader."

I want to say:
- This is LEMUR, folks! So, this is V1.07
- There will be swimming!
- There are accompanied scripting commands, and not just for the water level.

The attached pic clearly shows that I was the one who did this... sorta.

Well lemur will be using a diffrent timing system for speed issues, its still wip but result are turning out good at the moment.

This is based on timedbased but its not 100% timedbased as such.

Picture with 30 chars.
