Thanks Inspire!

Here is an Armored Personnel Carrier I've been thinking about. I got to ride in one a few times.... I'd rather walk. LOL The one we rode was tracked and it rode like a rock.

WIP Image attached.

Still very much a work in progress, and probably more than I'm ready to handle at the moment, but it's fun. Here is the front angle shot attached.

Looking nice!
Maybe add some depth in the texture itself?
Shadows for the seats in the back! So it would look more realistic.

Anyway good job!

Thanks guys. I did work on the UV a little and reposted the pics. As for the cargo area, I didn't set up the UV correctly and can't really give it much depth without redoing the whole thing. That's what learning is for, I guess. Thanks for the time and crit.

Here is the APC model download.

Nah its pretty easy actually!
Dont know what program you are using?
But for Photoshop you just use the burn tool!

I have an quick example....hope you dont mind me posting it here?

Well on the left is a model using a basic wood texture...no depth added to it..no shadows nothing!
On the right is the same model with depth added to the texture...shadows details etc.
Now it looks like a better model!
On the bottom is a texture i used for a barchair, it uses the same methods as the closet.

This really adds that little extra to models what they need.
Hope you didnt mind this post...if you do i could delete it.

Cheers man! Good job on the models cant wait to see more!

Cheese Cake, thanks. I didn't lay out the cargo area in the UV... I just grouped it all together as I was running out of space, so I cant do anything with the individual surfaces.

Best.

Here are some more standard scifi consoles. I can't release these textures but I'll make some new ones later, or release them without the screens and you can add your own to the image.

Tut, tut....Star Trek...

Would you happen to have a version of that APC with the back door closed? If so, then I'd happily release it back o you once I turn it into a Ply's Mod ready vehicle....

coffee grunt,
I'll see what I can do when I get back to my work computer.

Punk13,
The buildings are from a pack available here someplace. I can't remember the authors name. Sorry.

EDIT: Well, since this tread didn't get locked, I will post my latest model. This is entered in the FPSmedia.tk model contest, so I don't think I can release it until the contest is over.

This little shop has great collision for the player and doesn't bother my FPS until I get 3 or 4 of them placed in the editor. It is an entity, so I cant guarantee character collision.

First screenshot attached.

s4real & Dar13, thanks.

Here is the next candidate with a quick test texture. It's a subway-like transportation car, but I'm thinking more basic or military style. Image attached.

Model itself looks really nice. Perfect for a trainyard. Once you get a good texture on that, it'll look superb along with all your other stuff. Thanks for this, X.
